The curse was expanded in anger.

The kidnapper wanted the daughter's access codes.
However, he needed someone else to use them, since it was known that she was missing.

As such, he freed Kendra and made her do the deed.
She was allowed to be dressed again and said her good-byes to the woman- Gulliana.
He did make her check the ropes though.

"Try to get help and this will get bad."
She nodded.

In spite of that, she spotted a female Policewoman and did just that.

Her good deed backfired, however, as this led to a prolonged standoff between the kidnapper and the Police.
He did...naughty things to Gulliana- during that time.

As such, the eventually-free woman cursed Kendra, which amplified the pre-existing one.
Now it would affect those in her life- even if she wasn't there!

Of course, no bad deed goes unpunished.
In addition, no curse comes without a catch.

As someone 'in her life' quite recently, the curse expanded to effect Gulliana!

She ended up tied and gagged naked by her pool at the hands of a creepy neighbor who, up until that point, was satisfied to just watch her sunbathe.

Not realizing her mistake or seeing the pattern, she went to see her friend Jasmine on vacation.

Back at home, Kendra's friends soon found out the hard way about the more powerful curse.
