Gabriella Doll

Seconds earlier

Gabriella Borbon was hard at work studying for her midterms exams. She needed to pass if she was to get into a good college. Either way, she would be the first in her family to go to college. She was the daughter of first generation immigrants from Ecuador and Paraguay, and had a lot of pressure on her to succeed.

The girl was sad that she couldn’t hang out with her friends, but knew they had less pressure than they did from their families. Gabriella was the youngest of their group, and felt like she needed to prove herself. Despite that, she would never give up on her friends.

The Hispanic girl rubbed her temples as she studied slops and intercepted, the concept frustrating her to no end. Sometimes, she just wished she didn’t have to deal with this, that all her worries and concerns would just disappear, and that she could just be.

The girl paused for a moment and looked at her phone, seeing the group chat between herself, Dawn and Phoebe. Phoebe hadn’t responded, and Dawn had suddenly stopped. That was off.

It was at that moment that Gabriella suddenly stopped moving, frozen in time.

A large smile was on Katie’s face as she approached her prize, Gabriella not reacting in the slightest as she was hugged from behind.

“I take it you like her”, Mark asked with a smirk on his face.

“You bet your ass that I do”, Katie exclaimed. “Now hurry up and freeze her and we will put her in my locker.”

“Oh….O.K, we can do that know”, Mark stammered. “Gabriella stop.” Like with Phoebe and Dawn before her, Mark knew that the Hispanic girl was now frozen time.

“Awesome”, Katie said, gleefully pulling the now frozen girl’s chair away from the desk she was sitting at.

Looking over Gabriella, Mark could really appreciate her beauty and could see why Katie liked her. Like Dawn, the girl was Hispanic, though her skin tone was a lot lighter, and she had a diamond shaped face, framed by her long brown hair. She was dressed in a pair of ripped blue jeans, with a White shirt and a green fuzzy sweater on, and a pair of converse’s on her feet. Her frame was much skinnier and lankier than her two best friends, despite her being the youngest of the trio.

Katie bent the frozen teen’s legs out and slowly stood her up, but frowned when seeing how tall she was (much taller than Katie, and was even taller than both Phoebe and Dawn by comparison, by at least 3 inches.

“Well, shit”, Katie said.

“What wrong”, Steven asked.

“She’s uh…. she’s a bit too tall for me to carry.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll help you”, Mark said volunteering himself.

“You’d do that for me?” Katie asked.

“Hey, I permanently froze a teen girl for you, I can certainly help you carry her. You grab her arms, and I’ll grab her feet.”

With that, Steven and Mark carefully leaned back Gabriella’s stiff body until Katie was holding the girl by her armpits. At that point, Mark grabbed the frozen girl’s ankles and picked her up like a piece of wood. They then began to coordinate carrying her out of the library. They knew most of the schools camera’s weren’t working, so that they would not get caught.

Soon enough, the trio arrived at Katie’s locker with their prize and soon Gabriella was being folded into a fetal position and was being stuffed into said locker. Because she was taller than Phoebe and Dawn, the brunettes head was bent down and was touching the top of the locker. With a thud, the girls fate was sealed as Katie closed the door.

“After everything you revealed today, I hate that we have to go back to class and not play with our new toys”, Steven remarked.

“Hey we had to get through it anyway. Besides, there are only two more classes left today”, Mark said, trying to be pragmatic.

“I know, but still”, Steven said pouting.

“Hey at the end of the school day, why don’t we take them to Mark’s house and play with them, Katie suggested.

“My house”, Mark asked surprised.

“Sure”, Katie replied. “Steven doesn’t live far from there, and Nadia will take any excuse to see her boyfriend, even if it is near where Ashley is.”

“That sounds like a great idea”, Steven declared before looking at Mark.

“Well, I’m not against it. So, why not… let’s do it.”

“Great”, Katie said clapping her hands before sighing. “I guess we better get back to where we were before, oh and don’t forget to unfreeze that teacher.”

“Right”, Mark said almost forgetting about her. “Come on, lets go.”

With that, the trio headed back to the French room to resume their day, in anticipation of, playing their new dolls. Their playthings the other hand, simply stared at their respective locker walls, not a care in the world.
