Taking Control

Chantelle readied herself for her first leadership meeting in front of the mirror in the Team Queen en suite while Melanie and Lexie lay sleepily in each others arms in the adjoining bedroom. The other glitches always seemed surprised how long it took her to get ready, with one of the rare advantages of being permanently naked being that you were pretty much always good to go. But presentation was important in other peoples perceptions, and that was even more critical to Chantelle now she was group leader. With no clothing to protect her skin from dirt and dust she would shower at least three times daily, her long, dark hair was always immaculately braided, and she had a wide selection of glasses, shades and contact lenses to suit the formality or casual nature of any event.

Even naked, Chantelle still somehow exuded authority and looked every inch the leader she was. That leadership was going to be key in raising the glitches compliance ratings. It amazed her that after all this time none of the glitches really understood how their scores worked. They had been made to believe, and still hadn't shaken off the association. that raising and lowering scores was almost entirely linked to sexual acts or behaviour. While it was true that did tend to create larger fluctuations, just by following the orders of an NA agent, which the whole house was now unknowlingly doing, scores were rising slowly but surely.

Chantelle's reign of the house was designed to be a boring one, with the glitches following lots of minor rules and regulations. That worked perfectly for her, as they would have no reason to doubt the artificially low scores the bogus apps now installed on all of the other glitches phones would show when they were given them for missions. After a while, obeying her orders, which often came through her nominated leaders to double the damage to their teammates, would become second nature. Increasingly nobody would question it, or even want to question it, and by the time some of the glitches began to disappear to Naked Forever the others would be too far gone to save themselves. Chantelle's other main goal was to send the girls on bogus missions that appeared to yield results without doing any damage whatsoever to her employers.

Looking at the groups, Team Queen was ticking along fine. Lexie and Melanie both trusted Chantelle and were showing no resistance to her instructions. She needed to keep them around longer than the others though so would be sure to keep their scores moving upwards at a slow pace.

Team Genius, with Sophie the puppet in charge, was going great too. Chantelle knew Abigail would go along with whatever her bedmate said but it seemed Maggie had also fallen nicely into line.

Team Gorgeous was a little more problematic. The reemergence of human Laura, as convenient as it had been when Lucy had made the connection during the framing of Barbie, was in all other aspects a headache. Both Lucy and Leilani's scores kept dropping quickly, and it was obvious why. Putting them in a bedroom with a Naked and Willing girl was hardly ideal. Unfortunately for Chantelle, she had no other choice. Making Laura disappear again would have raised major red flags, so she had to appear to welcome her into the group. For now, she would keep the four groups almost entirely separate from each other. That at least stopped the others from being impacted.

Team Badass also gave Chantelle cause for concern. She knew Cassie would try and lead the group from behind the scenes and, frankly, she didn't trust her. She had gotten to know Cassie pretty well during her time in Team Queen and felt the profile of her personality that she had compiled for NA was pretty accurate. There was no way that her suddenly turning on Barbie, violently and without full evidence, made sense. It was not in her nature. Chantelle suspected that was prearranged, in which case she may still be working with Barbie, or at least trying to, and had to be marginalised as much as possible. TIna, Chantelle realised, wouldn't even want to be a leader right now. But a fully sober, clearheaded Tina was smart, ambitious and opinionated by all accounts. **** was going to be banned from the house. Then Cassie might find it less easy to act as de facto ruler and primary decision maker of that group.

"Okay, I'll leave you two to enjoy each others company while I meet with the leaders," Chantelle smiled at Mel and Lexie as she made for the door.

"Catch you later chief!" Lexie saluted.

"Thanks for doing this," Melanie returned the smile with gratitude. "Perhaps we might actually have a chance now"
