Chapter 25 by Jack.smith Jack.smith

Meeting the Tyrell's

Mace Tyrell

You stood around a table in a large grandiose tent outside the walls of Storm's End. Stannis played up the tragic end of Renly blaming it on a member of his King's Guard named Brienne of Tarth. Mace Tyrell sat at the end of the long table tucking into some ripe tomatoes.

"Well it is a shame about Renly he seemed like such a fine young man," The Red Faced plump Mace Tyrell said.

Margaery was by his side with a veil covering her face. From what you could tell she was as beautiful as it was rumoured. She was a slender woman with perky breasts and good wide hips giving her a nice curvy body.

"It's also a shame Margaery was keen to be wed and to lose her prospective husband so soon has really hurt her," Mace Tyrell said as tomato juice dribbled down his chin. You looked over at your father who was standing with gritted teeth. It was obvious that Mace Tyrell was no strategic genius and neither a man who studied other men closely or he would've seen the look on your fathers face at the talk of previous treachery.

Before your father could blow his lid you stepped in and spoke up. "My lord, It is true that my dearest uncle has passed on and left Margaery still a maiden. My father has a proposal that could be to your liking."

"The children of Cersei Lannister are abominations born of **** as you must know by now and it is important that you aid in my struggle to take what is rightfully mine, The Iron Throne," Your father said his brow still folded in frustration at making peace with traitors. "Margaery is unwed and so is my son, I suggest that we join our houses so that Margaery may be queen one day when Jack rules the Iron Throne,"

You watched as Margaery looked you over taking in your tall muscular frame and blushing slightly under her veil.

The Tyrells asked for a moment to discuss and when you returned into the tent Mace still sat in his chair now picking at his gums and began speaking.

"We are almost happy with your agreement but we are slightly worried about the religious nature of the ceremony and require that it be performed in the light of the seven," Mace said.

Melisandre began to speak but Stannis cut her off "Lord Seaworth had thought this might be the case and on his council we will agree to this," Your father said. "The ceremony will take place in three days, I hope that is to your satisfaction?"

"Yes that is most reasonable, I think we should leave the bride and groom some time to get to know each other," Mace Tyrell said
