Chapter 48

So what do you decide? Should you send two guards into the corridor and listen to Oolok?
You are interested in knowing what he has to tell you. So you do what the half-orc said.
You are intrigued by the half-orc's unexpected and mysterious request. So you do what he says - you order the two guards to leave the room for a moment. Two armored guards enter the corridor. The door to the room closes. Only you and your two former companions remain in the room.
When this happens, Oolok comes as close to you as possible, his fingers roughly grabbing the fabric of your light greenish brocade tunic.
He whispers in your ear: “If you still have at least a little brain left in your head, then come to the park in an hour. Wait near the big fountain!”
At these words, Oolok looked into your eyes. In his gaze there is suppressed anger and something else... Is this really pity?! Pity for you?! But why?!
You are discouraged.
Meanwhile, Oolok cautiously glances sideways at Franz, who continues to sit at the table and eat the soup, snacking on a piece of bread.
The half-orc defiantly says loudly: “Your rich elven relatives could pay more! They clearly have more gold than shit in the rural cesspool with shit! Ha! Ha!"
The half-orc's palm slaps your back, making you **** slightly on your saliva. The muscular embrace of half-orc arms...
Strong smell of sweat...
This scent of the dirty body of a strong male brings back memories of very kinky events from the past...
Franz also bids you farewell. But he is clearly more reserved.
A tactful smile and friendly phrases: “I’m happy for you, Jerome! It's so good that you were able to find your family! Wishing you a happy life in your new home!”
When the farewell is over you leave this room.
Then you, accompanied by two armored guards, return to the castle.
You continue to ponder the half-orc's words.
An hour later, curiosity forces me to come to the place he spoke about.
A small park is located near the castle walls.
A fence has been erected around the perimeter of the park. A guard consisting of two armored guards is on duty near each of the two passages through the fence.
This is a guarded place - so you can walk among the alleys of trees and beautifully trimmed bushes without the intrusive escort of guards.
The large fountain in the far corner of the park is a noticeable feature. You approach the fountain and look around suspiciously.
You say quietly, “Is there someone here?”
No answer.
A couple of minutes of waiting pass.
All around you are the chirping of birds and the rustling of tree leaves. The sun's glare is reflected in the water of the fountain.
You have almost decided to return to the castle, when suddenly you hear some strange sounds coming from the bushes.
You go check the source of the sounds.
It's... it's something like a grinding sound. And one more thing: muffled swearing!
“Look down at the ground, you stupid shiteater!” - a muffled phrase comes from somewhere below to your ears.
You look down.
Among the thickets of bushes, you finally manage to notice something important: a small rusty metal lattice among the soil on which grass and bushes grow.
Through the rusty bars of the grille you see... Oolok's face.
The half-orc looks dirty. Even from a distance you can feel the stench coming from him. His hands rested on the metal bars. He is clearly trying to move this grate.
“What are you looking at, you idiot! Help me!" - rude words and an evil look make you shake off the shock from your consciousness.
You help the half-orc move the metal grate. You have to tense your muscles. Fortunately, the efforts of two people are enough. The rusty metal grate is thrown aside. The grate clearly covered a narrow underground passage.
Judging by the stench that emanates from the half-orc, this underground passage is clearly connected to the castle's sewers...
You see how the silhouette of Oolok moves away somewhere downwards - he descends into the darkness of the underground passage.
His voice reaches your ears: “Climb down, follow me! I’ll show you something important... Very important... If only the word “importance” can describe your pathetic life, you arrogant shit-eater!
Overcoming disgust, you climb the stairs after the half-orc. The underground passage is quite deep. About 8 meters.
Finally, you finish walking down the stairs. Looking around, you see a wide and long sewer channel through which a liquid flows, emitting a strong stench. There are many side branches from this long sewer canal.
Oolok holds a torch that emits light. In his second hand there is a large leather bag (probably containing his things).
He looks you over and grumpily says: “Follow me, you shitty aristocrat!”
The tactless and rude treatment on his part greatly outrages you.
However, a premonition of something important and curiosity make you obediently follow the half-orc.
After ten minutes of travel along the winding branches of an underground sewer canal, you and Oolok reach your goal.
The half-orc leans over a dirty, moss-covered stone wall and shines a torch. At the bottom of the wall there is a small hole, which is blocked by rusty iron bars. To see something through this hole you obviously need to get down on all fours.
Oolok says: “Look there. And tell me what you see."
You get down on all fours and look between the bars.
Spacious underground room.
This is a spacious room that is clearly part of the vast dungeon of your family's castle. The dim light of the lamps that are attached to the walls illuminates this large room.
The floor is polished dark gray granite.
Six strange stone slabs on pedestals (each slab is the size of a small bed).
On five slabs lie five completely naked persons.
Three male and two female.
The sixth slab is empty.
You have time to see that each of these persons is fixed on stone slabs with the help of metal shackles built into the stone, which squeeze the arms and legs of the prisoners, not leaving them even a chance to escape.
You realize that all five prisoners have certain common characteristics.
They…
They're all half-elves!
Just like you...
You're standing up. Your dark greenish silk trousers and your leather sandals have become dirty.
You look into the half-orc’s face and say: “I... I don’t understand anything... What do you want to say with all this?”
Oolok grins unkindly and rummages through his bag, looking for something.
At the same time, he says: “During my life, I have committed many crimes... The life of a criminal is familiar to me... One of the important rules that I have learned is don’t trust anyone! During the last days of my life in this “hospitable castle”, I managed to avoid the obsessive attention of local guards a couple of times and take night “walks”. I stole several useful and interesting things from some rooms of the castle. For example: this letter... Read this, Jerome..."
He hands you a mud-stained piece of paper.
The light of the torch allows you to read several phrases: “I will arrive with the greatest possible speed... We are lucky that the last exemplar we need has come to us himself! With the previous five exemplars, we had to undertake a much larger delivery effort... Signature - Atheral Hyureeno"
This…
This is your father's signature!
The phrase about five exemplars...
And one “exemplar” came on its own...
The half-orc's mocking phrase: “At least try to use your brain a little, idiot! There are five chained and helpless half-elf captives in the dungeon. You just saw them. Anyone with brains and not shit in their heads will understand that nothing good is in store for these half-elves. The letter mentions a sixth “exemplar” who “came on his own”... Who do you think this sixth “exemplar” is?”
You whisper in shock: “Is it really... me?!”
The mocking sound of quiet applause.
The half-orc mockingly says: “Wow! You haven't lost your ability to think yet! A pleasant surprise! I assumed that shitty aristocratic arrogance and the habit of luxury had completely clouded your mind, Jerome ... "
You say with a trembling voice: “But... How is this possible?! Do my elven relatives really wish me harm?!”
Oolok says: “Stop whining! You are only half elf... From the point of view of these arrogant elven aristocrats, you are nothing more than a bastard. This word “bastard” is eloquent, isn’t it? I don't know what kind of twisted evil crap these shitty elven aristocrats needed six half-elven captives for, but one thing I do know is that if you stay here, nothing good will happen to you! So, I suggest you run away from here. If you want to save your ass, then follow me!”
You tremble with fear piercing your soul.
Meanwhile, the half-orc turns away and walks away from you. It goes into the distance along a long underground sewer canal. His silhouette is moving away every second. Like the light of his torch. A little more and you will be left alone in the darkness.
You stand stunned and try to comprehend the full extent of the horror of your current situation.
You find yourself in a terrible situation... What should you do now?
