The entrance exams

This was a horrible idea.

The worst idea he'd ever had.

Three hours ago, he'd eaten a strand of All Might's hair to inherit One for All. Now, he was standing in front of U.A.’s campus.

Was that hair infected or something? There's no way it was sanitary. He just plucked it right out!

Everything felt weird. His body was overheating, his skin and clothes felt tight- All Might said that his limbs would pop off if he was too weak, right? Was he going to explode mid-exam or something?

He was so nervous, he didn't even notice Bakugo stomp past him. As he **** himself to move, despite the symptoms, he tripped on a misaligned paving stone- but didn't fall.

Instead, he lazily floated in the air.

“Are you all right?”

Girl. Cute girl. As he dropped back to the ground, the girl explained. “I used my quirk. It's bad luck to trip on your first step.”

Deku couldn't speak. Girl. Cute girl. Girl cute.

“Well, see you around.”

What is wrong with me? Sure, I've never talked to a girl, but I couldn't even say anything!

Whatever weird tightness was affecting his school uniform was apparently also messing with his tracksuit. I thought these things were meant to be stretchy!

Looking around nervously, he saw the girl from earlier. As he walked towards her, he felt a firm hand on his shoulder.

“She's meditating. Don't interrupt her.”

Flinching, Deku turned to see the square-faced teen who had called him out for muttering while rules were being explained.

“Eep!”

“What's his problem?” The crowd muttered. “Nerves?”

“Maybe he's sick or something.”

“Rough luck, getting sick on exam day.”

“Whatever the case, that's one less guy to worry about.”

Worse than sick- I'm afraid I might die!
