A Plan of Action

Renly and you waited for Ned to leave from the King's bedchamber.

"Lord Stark, a moment of your time, alone if you will," Renly said as Ned entered the room. Ned took a moment and then waved away his guards.

"He named you protector of the realm," Renly said

"He did," Ned said stoically leaning on his cane.

"Cersei won't care we need to strike now before the King dies, let me give you one hundred swords," Renly pleaded

"I need to speak to Stannis," Ned said heaving a little in pain from the continued standing

"What about Stannis, we all know what he is why would you take the Kingdoms from Cersei and deliver them to Stannis." Renly argued they clearly knew something you didn't why would your father be involved with any of this.

"Stannis is your older brother," Ned said firmly

"That didn't matter when you and Robert rebelled against the Mad King and it shouldn't matter now, Jack is who should be King" Renly said and with this you were totally confused.

"I will not dishonour Robert by spending his last hours spilling blood in his halls and dragging children kicking and screaming from their beds," Ned said and with this Renly stormed off.

"I do not understand Lord Stark," You said still confused by what was happening.

Ned explained what he had discovered that Joffrey and his siblings were not Robert's children but actually bastards born of **** and that Stannis was the rightful King. Ned passed you a letter and told you to deliver it to Stannis without letting any eyes see it.
