Yes it was almost identical to Ruby's signature

"Let's see," Ruby thought as she focused her attention on the signature on the screen. Looking at the signature on the document it was as Ruby had feared there in black and white was her name on the contract just as Angie had said. This fact didn't surprise Ruby as whoever was behind this had obviously gone to great lengths to ensure her continued imprisonment.

Well, her name appearing on the contract hadn't been a total surprise to Ruby what had been was just how much of a match it was to her actual signature. "It's uncanny," Ruby thought as she thoroughly looked over the signature. As much as she hated to admit it Ruby couldn't deny that a part of her was impressed by just how good of a forgery the signature was. Whoever had signed her name must have done their research Ruby thought. As the attention to detail was so good that if she didn't know any better Ruby would have sworn the signature on the contract must have belonged to her.

Suddenly a thought came into Ruby's mind one that she hadn't allowed herself to consider. What if the reason the signature on the contract looked as if it belonged to Ruby was simply because it did? This was a thought that scared Ruby but at the same time one she had to consider. After all, Ruby had spent years of hard work perfecting her signature, studying every detail she could about the art of handwriting. She had gotten so good with the art of handwriting over the years that Ruby was even able to perfectly recreate her father's signature right down to the letter.

This was a fact that had brought Ruby much comfort over the past year as the loss of both of her parents had been quite difficult for her. Well, Ruby was able to take some comfort in the fact she would always be connected to her mother through their shared DNA it was also a reminder of her lack of a physical connection to the men who raised her like his daughter. Ruby may not have shared a physical connection with their father like Jenny but at least when she was tired from working late Ruby could scribe his name onto a piece of paper and for a moment it would feel as if he was there by her side.

It was her mastery of handwriting that made Ruby Question if the signature on the contract could belong to her. After all, it would not only have taken a lot of skill to be able to copy Ruby's signature this well but a lot of practice. All that work seemed like a lot of effort to go through just to abduct someone like her Ruby thought. After all, was Ruby really to believe that some type of mastermind would go through all this trouble to abduct her and stick her naked inside a cage just so she could be their pet?

It just seemed too crazy of a thought for Ruby to believe and yet was it really any less crazy than to think she might have done this to herself? After all, it wasn't like Ruby had any memory of having signed her name to any contact. Well, it was true that Ruby had signed a great deal of contracts since becoming the head of her family's company she couldn't imagine she wouldn't have noticed if she had signed a contract agreeing to be someone's pet no matter how overworked she might be.

Of course, Ruby couldn't deny the fact that she had been under a lot of pressure lately with the loss of her parents and having found herself thrust into the role of leadership. Could it have been possible that all the pressure had finally gotten to Ruby? After all, she wouldn't be the first person in a position of power to have snapped from the weight of their responsibility maybe this was her version of losing touch with reality?
