Into the city with Elora
I leave an exhausted Rina on my bed to take a nap. Her chores can wait until she rests a bit. Our love-making marathon, even though it was of a sweet and gentle kind, drained her. Having seven orgasms on average per hour for four hours surely would exhaust anyone. As for me, I still felt like I could have kept going, even though I left five loads inside Rina’s body. The monstrous sexual stamina I have and the fact that there is no refractory period for me are really strange. The sex book said that intercourse on average lasts between 15 to 30 minutes. Men also usually need to take a break after orgasm before being able to have sex again. That is not the case for me. Weird, but I am not complaining.
Speaking of orgasming, I was initially afraid that I or a girl I have been with would forget to take the contraceptive herbs to prevent pregnancy. After all, I was not ready to be a father. My worries are proving to be just that, worries. All of the women that I have been with make sure to take a pill either before or after sex. I also never forget to take one before sex. It’s like a muscle memory for us at this point. While only one person needs to take the pill, both of us usually end up taking one just to be safe. There are no side effects from it so it's completely harmless to take.
The time was 2:30 pm. I had about an hour and a half before the agreed rendezvous time. Just enough to fit in a quick workout and take a shower. I did indeed manage to finish that, get dressed, and arrive at Elora’s dorm room. Since I don’t want to be recognized by people in the city, I will be going incognito. It will be fairly easy to achieve thanks to my expert illusion magic. I changed the length of my hair to a shorter one and it became a little straighter. The color changed from black to brown. My eyes changed color from grey-blue to hazel-green. These two changes were enough to make me look different enough that people, who didn’t see me a lot, would not recognize me. As for my clothes, I chose dark beige trousers and a dark green tunic. The tunic goes just above my upper thighs and its long sleeves are bunched around my elbows. On my legs is a pair of nice brown leather boots. While I don’t look like a commoner from a low-income family, I don’t look anywhere close to nobility either. I look wealthy enough to be seen as a well-off merchant’s son.
I knock on the door and it opens a few seconds later. Elora stands before me wearing tight green pants and a white blouse. Her long platinum hair is tied in her usual ponytail.
“Good evening, Zen. Ready to have some fun?” she says with a teasing smirk.
I decided to answer her teasing. “Evening. Not sure how fun it would be dodging attacks from jealous men vying for the attention of such a beautiful lady like yourself by my side.”
Her teasing smirk disappears a little and her cheeks flush red before she is able to regain control again. “Your silver tongue will surely get you killed once a day.”
She huffs and starts walking in the direction of the back gates. Once we go through the gates without issues and enter the city, I activate my disguise.
“Huh, that is pretty clever. Even I, who have known you for eight years already, would have to take a closer look to tell that you are Zen,” she observes my new appearance curiously.
“Don’t want to stand out too much. I hoped to experience tonight through commoner’s eyes,” I say.
“I will see that you do,” she smiles and we keep going. “I have a few errands to run before we go to the tavern. It is still too early to go there so we won’t miss anything fun. The taverns usually start to fill around 6 pm, but the real party starts around 9.”
“I don’t mind,” I reply. “Lead the way.”
For the next two hours, I followed Elora around as she completed her errands. We visit a bookstore where she talks with an old fellow for a little while I browse the books. The store is primarily focused on magical literature and books. Elora places an order for a set of books and we continue her errand run. Next, she visits an alchemy store. There, she too spends some time conversing with the store owner and places an order for some potions. Alchemy is a rare profession. To be able to become an alchemist, a person must have at least a low affinity for water magic. We went to a few other places before it was time to go to the tavern. Since the commercial district is quite far from the commercial district, we decided to ride a carriage to the tavern instead of walking. You could find carriages all over the city. They were small and simple looking, made out of wood and iron, and tugged by a single horse with a driver. They were a primary mode of transportation for the people who preferred not to walk. The tavern was on the edge between the entertainment and red light district.
We rode in the carriage for 15 minutes before arriving at our destination. When we exited, I was a little surprised by what I saw. What I saw in front of me was a simple three-story building. It was made out of cobblestone and wood. The sign on the wall read ‘The Drunken Cat’. Perhaps I expected something more extravagant?
Elora noticed my surprise and said. “You were expecting something more fabulous, right? Well, it is not a place where a noble would spend their evening. It can become rough even. A lot of workers from the production district come here, but there are people all over from all over the city. Let’s get inside and get a table.”
She opens the entrance door and enters. I take a breath and follow behind her.
