Shadow Emma (Solicitor)

Dev shadowed Emma for the week. Being a Solicitor, Emma started him on some easier pieces of work, explaining the different procedures and forms. Dev could tell Emma had recently qualified because she understood how important it was to be trained properly from the beginning. However, some of her he was tasked with proofreading was clearly a lower quality than Shannon's. Still, it was good experience to gain and a new style of work to adapt to.

Later down the week, he and Emma sat in for a client meeting in a conference room, and Dev took the minutes of the meeting. After an hour passed and the meeting concluded, they all shook hands and the client left.

Emma elected to recap the meeting to make sure Dev understood everything discussed. "Sorry if I spoke really quickly about any of that, I've heard I sound quite jittery and fast paced at times. Please let me know if there was anything that you think went over your head or are unsure about. No point leaving this room unless you're absolutely certain you understand what just happened."

Dev asked some questions and noted everything he could for future reference. "It was definitely an overload of information, so thanks for filling in some of the blanks!"
