BAE Chapter 97
Searchlights shine owl-like on the undersides of the GCPD blimps drifting slowly under the blood-red night sky over Gotham. Distant sirens, the wind, and the faint notes of a big band concert in Gotham Central Park mingle in the cold air.
On the street, Harvey Bullock keeps his eyes on the road. He grips the wheel tightly. Ahead of him, an armored transport eases to a stop for a light. He glances at the rearview mirror.
The man cuffed in the backseat of the car looks perfectly calm. He’s leaned against the window, gazing upward. He seems almost curious.
“What are you looking at, Creep?” Bullock mutters, chewing his toothpick.
They know that they didn’t get them all. There are more of these Elite Pride losers out there to be rounded up, and with the weapons and training that they have, hitting a convoy should be right up their alley. It makes Bullock’s skin crawl.
In the passenger seat, Renee Montoya twists to check the prisoner, then mimics his position. The light hasn’t changed. Reluctantly, Bullock looks up as well.
He catches the faintest glimpse of a familiar shape gliding overhead. It’s not the Batman; it’s one of these Bat Chicks that’s filling in for him. Maybe the gray one, maybe the purple one. Maybe the one in the crazy red wig. Who can say?
Montoya’s looking at him.
“Didn’t need no bats to nail these guys,” Bullock says defensively.
“Still.” Montoya sighs and looks up again. “It’s a little reassuring.”
Bullock squeezes the wheel. “We should be taking these losers straight to Blackgate,” he grumbles.

“Everyone on me,” Barbara says, landing lightly on a carved hawk at the corner of the Winstone building. Below, the procession goes on, agonizingly slowly. With a flapping of capes and a zipping of lines, Kate and Stephanie arrive, balancing beside her.
“Alfred says there’s a fire about six blocks over. The Greene Building. It’s old,” Barbara says.
“It’s a distraction,” Kate says immediately. “They’re getting ready to move.”
“I already called it in. Even if it is, it doesn’t matter. It’s an old building, it’s tall, and emergency services aren’t going to get there in time. Kate, get with Alfred and get the plane in the air. Steph, let’s go.”
BAE
The van door squeals in agony as Summer Gleeson hauls it open. She climbs out into the frigid air with her microphone in her hand, hurrying toward the crowd of people around the base of the Green Building. Smoke creates streaks against the red sky, and the air is full of embers and soot, even down here. It’s a big fire. Sirens are in the air, but so far no fire trucks. Several police officers are on the scene and a few EMTs and that’s all. People are pouring out of the building.
There are gasps and cries and the people almost knock Summer down as they move back.
A dark shape descends out of the smoke.
The Batgirl, with her yellow bat standing out clearly on her gray chest, lands nimbly on the pavement, holding a coughing little girl. She hands the child off to an officer, fires some kind of gun into the air, and flies away before Summer can even shout at her cameraman.
A moment later another figure, this one a little taller and not as curvy, lands just a few yards away. She has a baby in one arm and a little boy clinging to her back.
“Come on, now,” she mutters from behind a half facemask as the boy tugs her hood down, revealing a blonde ponytail. She hands off the children, straightens her hood, gives the crowd a quick little wave, and fires a line before ascending back into the smoke.

The howl of the engine dies away in the vast reaches of the cave. Barbara pulls her helmet off, catching a full breath of the stench of smoke coming off her costume. She coughs, shakes her head, and hangs the helmet on her handlebars as Alfred approaches with a bottle of water. Still astride the bike, she takes it and drinks gratefully.
“What is that look?” she asks, pulling off her cowl.
“Still sorry that you came back?” he replies.
Barbara rolls her eyes. In Alfred’s eyes, things like tonight are exactly the reason that he could tolerate Bruce’s crusade. Sometimes the actions of the Batman had been objectively righteous and lives had been saved as a result. Alfred has to cling to that to justify all this, and tonight is living proof for him that he’s on the right side of it. Barbara doesn’t mind giving him that affirmation; he’s more than earned it.
“Steph and Kate will be here soon.”
“Very good. The prisoner transport went through without incident.”
Barbara nods, chewing her lip. “So they’re in lockup at Central?”
“Correct.”
He’s still standing there. Of course. Barbara wrinkles her nose and looks down at herself.
“I’m gross, Alfred. I love and respect you too much for you to have to do this laundry.”
“Ms. Gordon, I can assure you that Master Bruce has many times left me to attend to much worse.”
That is probably true. Barbara struggles out of her costume. Smoke is awful, and fires are hot. Smoke and sweat is a combination best kept for medieval ****. She places her disgusting things in Alfred’s basket, which he whisks away to… wherever his dry cleaning stuff is while she heads into Bruce’s goth shower.
There, feeling much better, she wonders about Selina. The bruises and soreness shouldn’t be too bad from tonight; that tussle with Talia and Katana could’ve gone a lot worse. All in all, not too bad—but Barbara knows that she’s a step behind, and she’ll probably pay for it. She sighs as she hears Kate and Stephanie enter the shower, chatting animatedly. Barbara can’t help but smile. There’s a trade-off here; being alone with her thoughts is necessary, but Bruce showed everyone what unlimited brooding leads to. Kate and Stephanie drive her crazy, but Barbara is convinced that letting them in was the right move.
She turns and freezes as she sees them. It’s a shower; they’re naked.
“Oh,” she says, her heart sinking. “You idiots. Oh, no.”
“Oh, yes, er…” Kate trails off, looking down at herself. Stephanie also appears taken aback.
Barbara is easily able to connect the dots here, so there’s no real mystery about these two new penises. These two have taken Seed deliberately, but it must’ve been recent. Like very recent. They still aren’t used to it.
Barbara puts her face in her hand as Stephanie and Kate stare down at their erections.
“I wasn’t planning to be hard for this,” Stephanie says, embarrassed. “Not yet, anyway.”
“Babs is just too hot,” Kate says with a jiggling shrug. She puts her hands on her hips and her cock twitches. “I don’t know why you look so bummed, Babs. We did this for you.”
“For me?”
“Yeah. Leading a team is hard. Even such an elite team as this,” Stephanie says idly, flipping her hair. “You need to relax.”
Barbara groans into her hands.
“Course, I guess now we’re the needy ones,” Kate says to Stephanie.
“I know, right? Did you know it was going to do this?”
“Should’ve figured. It’s not weird when a penis gets excited about Barbara Gordon naked. It’s only suspicious if a penis doesn’t.”
“Stop talking, Kate.” Barbara tries not to laugh. She opens her eyes to find Kate and Stephanie right in front of her, glowing. They are vibrating with excitement.
“Mommy,” Kate says.
“Mommy,” Stephanie echoes.
“Real professional elite team stuff here,” Barbara notes.
Should she play along? (Lewd)
Or establish dominance and authority? (Also lewd)
