Dropping panties left and right

The current status of my magic levels is as follows. Fire, wind, water, gravity, illusion, and lightning magic are all expert-level. Earth, plant, telekinesis, light, and ice magic are at an adept level. I am yet to learn sand, magma, and mist magic. It would be beneficial to raise them to an adept level. Less so with mist magic. There is not much you can do even on an adept level with it. The real strength lies at the expert level, where, on top of being able to create possible and manipulate mist in order to obscure surroundings, weather manipulation becomes. Technically, mist magic falls into the defensive magic category, but, in reality, it is more akin to illusion magic which is considered utility magic. Magma magic is offensive, while sand is defensive and ice magic is a hybrid. If I had to choose, I would want to learn sand magic next. Nothing wrong with having pure defensive magic in my arsenal.

Arti reached an expert level in light, water, earth, and plant magic. Our progress in magic training is truly astonishing. We both achieved expert-level magic in multiple elements in only 12 years. Adept-level magic takes 8 years to achieve on average. After that, it takes anywhere between 10 to 50 more years to reach the expert level. This statistic talks about people who dedicate their time and effort to focus on a single element. Arti and I achieved that with multiple elements.

Since reaching the adept level in future sight magic, Tiana’s progress in that stopped almost completely. Future sight magic is whimsical like that. She recently reached expert level with water magic. Her wind and ice magic are on an adept level, with wind magic approaching expert level.

Since Elora and I are both expert lightning magic users, rather than her training me, we train together. Still, she is better at it than I am due to spending more years practicing it than I did. She should finally reach master level in the next two years. Having two elements that make a sub-element at the master level in order to be able to reach the master level with their sub-element is not required. When any element reaches an expert level, a caster can start working on it to reach the master level.

I am practicing weaving a large number of lightning lances into existence and shooting them. Currently, I am able to make 27 lances and be able to hit the intended targets with pinpoint accuracy. Creating more at this stage will result in my aim and control dropping. During the practice of the spell, one of the panties fell out of my pocket without me noticing. Ela, however, did notice it.

As I finished firing off the last lance, I took a tired breath. Making high-level magic like that is tiring. Ela walked to where I was and crouched.

“What is that, Zen?” she smirks and picks up her panties from the ground.

I look at what she is holding and see that those are Mom’s white lace panties. My heart drops for a second but I manage to keep my face expression stoic. Surely there is no way to tell who these panties belong to.

“They are panties. Isn’t that obvious?” I answer her smirk.

“How come you have women’s panties falling out of your pocket, huh?” she says in a teasing tone. “You didn’t steal them, did you?”

“Didn’t steal them, no,” I answer.

“You got laid, didn’t you?” Ela’s smirk grows even wider.

I shrug. “No comment.”

“Oh, no, mister. Spill it. Who was it with? It was Rina, wasn’t it?” she chuckles.

“Maybe,” I shrug.

“Come ooooon. Tell meeeee,” she whines and shakes me by the shoulders. She can be childish like that sometimes.

“Okay, okay,” I laugh. “Yes, it was with Rina.”

“How was it? Sex, I mean,” she asks. “Some people find it boring or unpleasant after their first time.”

“It was great. We did it yesterday and this morning,” I grin.

“Hah. Not bad,” she laughs. “I will need to verify your story with Rina though. No way it was as good as you say for her.”

“Be my guest. Be warned, I was underselling it quite a bit,” I say with a grin.

“Yeaaah, suuure,” she drawls sarcastically. “Anyways, this is it for today. Good practice.”

She turns and starts walking towards the palace. I catch up to her. An idea popped into my mind. Something, that I wanted to try for some time.

“Hey, are you free this weekend? I have free time and I wanted to go and have a few drinks somewhere in the city,” I say.

Elora ponders for a moment before replying. “Drinking? Count me in. I try to go out once a month and it has been several weeks already. I will show you my favorite tavern in the city.”

“Great. It’s a date then,” I chuckle.

Ela stops in her tracks. “Date?”

“I am kidding, Ela. It is just two friends, who are a former teacher and her pupil, going into the city and having a few drinks. Totally nothing romantic,” I say with a smirk.

“Right. Haha. Exactly that,” Ela blushes and replies laughing nervously.

I haven’t seen her so bashful before. Interesting.
