Clarifications and More Analysis

You were groggy the next day. You slowly opened your eyes as you remembered the events of yesterday, going to a gym, somehow gaining a super/magic power, completely possessing/dominating Alex, and then screwing her senseless. You'd think it were a dream if not for 3 things: You were naked, you remembered being Alex and the feelings of her body(including the nighttime activities)... And She was currently making breakfast for both of you, dressed in her underwear and one of your dress shirts.

She was cooking some eggs, it looked like she also had toast in the toaster. She also had some hash browns on the side. You did notice that the table hadn't been set at all. So after you got dressed you and freshened up, you went to bring out the dining ware. She said a quick thanks before she finished cooking brought the food to the table. You had Scrambled Eggs, Toast, and Hash Brown Patties, as well as some orange juice.

"Thank you for cooking a meal for me." You said to Alex, who sent you an enchanting smile before replying.

"Well you gave me such a good night, I thought I'd listen to my grandmother's advice 'You can charm any man with your whiles, but if you want to keep him, show him you care'. So I made breakfast." She said, and then it clicked. You weren't possessing her, so why? She cut off your thoughts with her next comment.

"You'll need to repay me however, I'll take a fancy restaurant with a 3 week wait list." Her cheeky smile told you all you needed to know, she was expecting you to reciprocate with something just a nice. Though the tale end sounded slightly sarcastic, so she didn't mean literally a 3 week wait.

"Just don't expect me to empty my wallet when we go there." You bantered back, she just chuckled in return, rolling her eyes before digging into her food, you decided to eat as well. And the food was quite good. The two of you eat in relative peace, chatting about mild topics, like workout ideas.

After a pleasant meal you started to clean up, deciding to have a proper chat with Alex. You wanted to discuss your powers without her, and only her, not an echo chamber with yourself. Alex sat on your bed while you sat on your desk chair.

"So, where should we start?" You were once more nervous, the 'confidence' you had was gone. You knew she would help but beyond that, you don't want a solely transactional relationship.

She seemed to think for a moment before saying "Well we can start testing wherever you want."

"I was more talking about what we are, are we dating? Is this some kind of friends with benefits situation? I think that we need to clarify this before we continue." This surprised her, but she quickly recovered and processed your question.

"Well I honestly don't want to just be friends with benefits, not a fan of that personally, and we did kinda jump to third base, so saying we're dating now would be weird." Alex said with a slight chuckle. Before continuing "You also possibly ruined my sexual compatibility with other guys, so are you going to take responsibility?"

"Then will you be my girlfriend?" You asked, to which she said "Sure, I Guess." in a jokingly sarcastic manner.

"Now then, where did we leave that idea paper?"

"Okay, so I think the next test we need to try is the 'strange app' and figure out how that ties into my powers." You said, looking at the notes you had taken. Alex moved to grab your phone but you interrupted her. "Wait, let's try a different device."

You pulled out a tablet you had gotten, it was an old one you wanted to mess around with some third party programs, but this would be much better. You held the tablet and let your power take over the device, the screen turned black and the program just 'filtered in'. Once more you saw the 'asset model' of yourself just standing there, tabs along the side and expandable sections on the top and bottom of the screen.

It looked kinda like a character editor from the Sims. Looking over the tabs you saw what you had before, there were sliders for your body, selectors for personality, options for memories, and one which seemed to be about 'interactions', there were a bunch of strange choices in that one. There was also a grayed out tab that you couldn't currently select. You were about to change something when a thought came to you.

You searched back over the whole thing to see if it had a setting for [Live updates], [Confirm updates], or anything like that. It took you a moment to find, you fiddled with the options based on what you thought they would do.

The Presets tab was the most interesting, it had saved your model as a default, but there was another model available. Alex also has physical and personality presets, the labeled name was Alexis Moore. She seemed surprised at you having her body and personality saved. You could even create new presets, and there was no numbers for it.

"That's weird, your power goes beyond just copying or editing stuff... And what's that button?" She said, before pointing at an option you could turn on alongside the [apply preset] option. It was [Assume Identity] with an info button on the side.

[Assume Identity] seemed to allow you to take over someone's life, not like completely assume it, but it makes you 'feel' like that person to other people, so without seeing the real person at the same time, you'd seemingly be mistaken for said person. It also noted that your ID card would 'appear' like the individual, making people write it down like it's the original person, and not question and differences.

Going back to the final tab, you saw you could influence interactions with you, like how people greet you, how they perceive you. And so much more. You tapped on the 'retroactive' option and saw you could control it to some degree, filtering who is effected and how much. It made you get some other ideas, but for now you wanted to talk with Alex.

"So not only can I copy the body and mind, but I can save them and edit them with this. What the heck is this power?" You said, looking at Alex.

"It's like magic with how vague it is. How could your powers cover all these facets?" She responded, pondering why you had such a broad set of abilities.

"Well it depends on what the 'core' of my power is, if there even is a 'core'. Copying mental and physical traits might be more a secondary trait for this 'app', or this could be a result of trying to copy onto an inanimate thing. All of this just leaves more questions then answers." You said, before coming to a conclusion.

"We'll need to bring in other people to test on, see how changing things works." This was the only option you could think of, you needed more data about these powers, which meant possibly bringing other people in.

"Well I have an idea of who we could try out your powers on." Alex said, seemingly in response to your unspoken question.

(A/N: I do have an idea of how his powers work, but that will be explored as time goes on. But I will put out this question, would you rather this story be more magical, more sci-fi, or a mix of the 2?)
