Indirect testing on Alex's Friend.

You spent almost an hour working on the 'program', first creating a 'copy' of Alexis' body, then trying to experiment with her features. You worked on things like, height, muscle definition, hair styling and even eye color. You even found you could upload things like skills, so long as either you or her have them, so if you can make common dishes, she could cook all of them as well, and visa versa.

You created a new version of her, what you titled "Alexis Moore 1.2", She was taller with enhanced strength, though not showy muscles, so she still looks lithe and flexible, you also lengthened her hair to have a tomboy ponytail. You also turned on certain rules, like identity assumption/retcon, which meant people would presume she was always like a tall almost amazonian woman. So long as nobody is resistant to the effect...

You decided to not apply this version for now, but instead save it and see if it's kept when you weren't applying it. You also needed more then just you two, experimentation without an outside observer leaves you without knowing what is working.

This is where Alex's friends could come in. She had a decent friend group from High School, and working as a personal trainer for women, she made quite a few connections, clients becoming friends as time went. Definitely more then the smaller friend group you had, couple of gaming buddies and some work friends.

One friend had been brought up by Alex, Penelope Martinez. A girl who's not the most collected in comparison, much more introverted then many of her friends, but they had been friends since Junior Year, initially they were just study partners, but Alex got caught up in Penny's passion for fiction and stories of all kinds. She's also quite tight lipped about things, so long as the secret isn't harmful.

She'd probably be the best person to discuss the implications of your powers, while also not outright converting her to keep the secret. You needed 0 direct influence over her. And so, you'd invite her over to the Moore residence due to it being bigger, and see indirect effects on Penny.

"You ready?" Alex asked you, waiting by the door as you packed up a few things for your experiments. You did a once over that you had everything and then headed out, Alex going to drive her car being your 'chauffeur', as there was no reason to drive 2 vehicles to her place.

Her house wasn't particularly big. A few bedrooms, a couple bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining area, and a few office rooms, one of which was set up for Alex's gym gear. Her and her sister rent the place from their parents, they managed to make some smart investments during a certain market crash, and got a few houses they used as rentals. This one was a place they decided to rent out to their kids, at market value.

It was nice and not too far out of the way, you could probably use it as an initial base of operations... But You'll need to 'talk' to Alexis' sister, can't just **** them to do things without the consent of both tenets.

You looked over at Alex(you) and quickly asked "Where can I go to 'get set up' for the test?"

"Third door on the left, after all, mi casa es su casa, especially after you've made my body yours." She said, a flirty smile being directed at you.

You just blushed slightly, before turning down the hall, taking the door to her room and dropping down your bag on the Bed. Your experiment needed to be a blind test, so best get set up.

You picked up the tablet and activated the system, you saw it kept your other presets. You'd tested making a couple more test presets for the experiment. You couldn't be a scientist about this at least not yet, but you could still employ the scientific method.

You turned on a preset and began swapping clothes, Penny would arrive soon, so you needed to get ready.

3rd person POV: Penelope Martinez. A few minutes later.

She honestly didn't expect a sudden request for lunch from Alex, but she didn't mind, they had both been busy with work and hadn't really had a proper meeting to sit down.

But when Alex reached out about having a lunch meet with something interesting to discuss, Penny just had to come over.

She walked up to the door, bag in hand, ready to find out this "Interesting thing" she wanted to keep secret. She promptly knocked, waiting only a moment before the door opened, being met with a beaming grin from Alex.

"Penny!" Alex cried out before pulling her into a hug, Penelope reciprocated, wrapping her arms around Alex. Embracing her old friend.

"Come in, I'll show you that interesting thing in a minute or two." Alex said, Penny just followed her into the house, noticing her friend was a quite chipper.

"Thanks, do you mind if I go freshen up?" Penny asked, wanting to use the bathroom before lunch started.

"Sure, you know where it is."

Penny went to wash her hands, however right after leaving the bathroom, she saw someone in Alex's bedroom. Penny hadn't closed the door, and she didn't see Alex pass by, but then who was in the bedroom?

Penny slipped to the door, and heard humming, she carefully opened the door, but was surprised to see Alex in her bedroom. Alex was also slightly different, wearing other clothes, instead of her tank-top and tight shorts, she was wearing a baggy shirt and sweatpants.

"Alex?" Penny asked, slightly confused. How did she get back here, and why did she change clothes?

"Oh, Hey, I'll be out in a minute to explain." Alex said, again something was, weird. But Penny was sure this was Alex, that was just a fact.

Penny decided to shake it off, nodding her head and walking away, heading back to the living room. Too which she got even more confused, seeing Alex back in her first set of clothes, humming as she prepped the meal.

"Wait, How?!?!" She sputtered out, looking back and forth from the bedroom and the kitchen. How did she do that, it was like 30 seconds.

"Oh, you're done, come and sit down." Alex said, acting like nothing was wrong as she set down the third plate... Wait, third Plate?

She was feeling like she was going insane. And it just got worse when Alex walked from the hallway, while Alex was also sitting down at the table. She felt like her brain was glitching out, and a headache started to form.

POV: Arthur(Disguised as Alex)

You walked out of the bedroom, you hadn't been expecting Alex's friend to suddenly peak into the room. As you walked out you noticed that Penny started to look confused, looking between yourself, and Alex. Or rather, Alex and Alex.

You had transformed into Alexis Moore 1.2 as part of the experiment, it included the 'identity assumption' setting, which should in theory make people believe you are Alexis Moore.

"What, but you're there Alex." Penny said, looking at the Alex sitting down, then looking back at you walking to the table, "But you are also Alex?" she was really confused.

As you got closer though, Penny started to wince, and when Alex turned to you, she also winced in pain.

Maybe this wasn't as good of an idea, you quickly 'reverted' your changes, including the identity assumption. Their headaches went away, but that also resulted in Penny freaking out about the guy who was now standing there.

"Who Are You? How Did You Do That? What Actually Happened!" She was rightfully panicked, it wasn't exactly normal to see someone shapeshift in front of you.

"So, long story short, I have powers, Alex is in on it, and we wanted your help. Also, didn't expect that kind of response to that 'transformation' setting." You said, then realized that explained basically nothing.

"Scratch that, you eat, Alex and I will try to explain what lead up to 'this' situation." You said, Alex nodding to your sentence. And you began to enter into the whole story from yesterday and this morning.

Authors notes: So basically, I wanted there to be an outside perspective to show how the ability works, hope this doesn't break any rules. I'll only do 3rd person perspectives when I feel an outside perspective better shows what's happening. In this case, Penny having to try and grasp two of her friend and how "Identity Assumption" could have unintended consequences without care.
