At the remote edge of the capital city of Lehman, nestled in the quiet embrace of the rural landscape, stood the Amari Inn, a beacon of warmth and hospitality in an otherwise desolate area. The inn was the brainchild of Amari herself, a resilient woman who had weathered the storms of life. It was born from the ashes of her husband's passing, leaving her with little more than a patch of land and a modest house.

Before Amari's son, Rian, came into the world, she had lived a life marked by the hustle and bustle of tavern work. But when motherhood beckoned, she sold what little she had left and invested it in the struggling inn, purchased for a fraction of its worth due to it's location. Her determination was unwavering; she believed in her ability to turn things around, even as the world was torn apart by war and travelers became a rare sight.

Through sheer perseverance, Amari slowly began to turn a profit. Every penny earned was reinvested back into the inn, nurturing its growth and ensuring its survival. As Rian reached the age of 18, he became an official part of the inn's operations, though he had been helping out unofficially for years. In a world where young men faced the grim choice of either finding work or being conscripted into the army, Amari was determined to shield her son from the horrors of war.

Expanding their workforce meant more paperwork and higher taxes, burdens that weighed heavily on Amari's shoulders. Yet, she refused to let financial constraints dictate her decisions. The safety and well-being of her son were non-negotiable, even if it meant tightening their belts and stretching every coin to its limit.
