Chapter 12 by Kongforce
Do we stay in this moment or time jump
Some time later
Some time had passed since Batgirl first arrived at Arkham Asylum not that she was sure how much. At first, Batgirl tried to keep track of how much time had passed but between the lack of windows in her room and the meds Doctor Kellerman prescribed keeping track of the days had become difficult. Before she started to lose track Batgirl had figured she had been at Arkham for ten days but after that point the mental strain of not only the meds on her Psyche but her whole experience started to become too much for her.
It's not like Batgirl hadn't tried to fight back but with her arms trapped securely in a straight jacket there wasn't much she could do. To make matters worse due to her being in a straight jacket the staff truly did have to do everything for her not only when it came to feeding her and giving her her meds but also when it came to her toilet use. To that end, the staff had inserted two catheters into her one into her urethra and the other into her rectum. This was not only humiliating for Batgirl but also painful as any movement would pull on both of the catheters causing not only great pain but wisk them coming out forcing the staff to reinsert them.
The pain of the catheters was one of the reasons Batgirl stopped trying to fight the staff not that she could do much with her arms bond. The other reason Batgirl stopped trying to fight was the meds. Originally Batgirl did everything she could not to take the pills they gave her including spitting them out and holding her mouth shut. Unfortunately for Batgirl that just angered the staff causing them to **** the pills down her mouth and threatening to inject the **** into her. Of course, Batgirl still tried to defy the staff but after multiple times having her meds injected into her Batgirl lost the urge to struggle as her mind began to enter a fog.
Once the urge to struggle had left Batgirl the decision was made to stop giving her medication through injections and return to giving it to her in pills. Batgirl probably would have still tried to fight taking her pills once they stopped giving her the injections but with her mind in a fog from having had multiple injections there just wasn't enough will there to try. All Batgirl could do was stare at the four walls that surrounded her and wait for people to enter her room to give her care. All the while her muscles began to get weaker from the lack of training and protein she was given. Since Batgirl couldn't be trusted to exercise the decision was made to put her on a diet of foods that well wouldn't help with keeping up her strength and wouldn't cause much weight gain like apple sauce and other mashed foods. This was partly done to control weight and muscle tone but it was also done to prevent cooking hazards as not only could Batgirl not feed herself but once the med had taken enough of a hold there was a belief that the simple task of chewing and swallowing foods would be too difficult and as doctor Kellerman would say the patients well being is there only priority.
None of that mattered now to Batgirl though as what part of her mind that did still work could only think about how she once soared the skies of Gotham stopping criminals only to find herself in the place she once sent criminals to for help. However, those thoughts started to feel less like memories and more like delusions to the patient known as Batgirl as she became less and less certain of what in her mind was real. Finding herself unable to trust her grasp of reality Batgirl found herself slowly trusting Doctor Kellerman more and more. After all, he claimed he only wanted to help her, and in her current state of not being able to trust her mind who else was there to trust but her doctor after all she was his patient wasn't she?
How does Doctor Kellerman plan to help his patient?
