"This researcher concluded that the bare body is the ideal condition to swim, with hair being the only disturbance." explained the coach.

"That's well for theory. And I already agreed to shave, but what about the uniforms? I imagine they will be rather skimpy with such ideas." asked K-T.

"You really don't understand, those experimental projects can be pretty wild and the board didn't discuss anything when they saw the zeros on the grant check."

"No, seriously. You can't mean..." he mumbled as he came to a realization.

"K-T you are currently out of uniform because you have too much on you." She said in the most serious tone.

"It's impossible. Unless you didn't notice I'm completely naked here."

"The uniform of the male team is to be completely hairless, only eyelashes are allowed, naked and have a weekly peeling to remove all dead skin on the entirety of your body and to be oiled with a special lotion to keep your skin as smooth as possible."

"But... Wait, why aren't there twelve bald naked girls behind me then? This is a joke, right? Well played. It was funny. No seriously, what is the uniform?" he asked.

"When this teacher arrived the current girl team was about to win the state championship. They threatened to all quit before the finals if it applied to them so she accepted to limit it to boys. There were only five of them and they were pressured by the school into at least trying it for a bit, but the last of them only lasted 3 months." She told him. " I already told you it was a bad idea to join. On the other hand your time was already a good third faster once you got naked. Still want to join? "

"I don't have a choice. I won't get into college without it and my parents will kick me out if I don't. But that will require like a lot of time and extra expenses. I don't know if I can afford it." he explained.

"Well, I have at least some good news. The woman who designed this wanted it done professionally. We have a contract with a beauty salon nearby and a card that explains exactly what to do to you. Everything will be billed to the grant money the school receives. They will even provide you with a wig to wear outside of training."

"Well I'll make sure to book an appointment before next training. I guess since I'll be naked all year at training I'd better get back in the water." he offered. The humiliation would be inevitable, but the water would at least offer some cover.

"You're not a good listener. You can't train out of uniform now that you joined the team. Go rinse off in the showers." She told him. Lucy, Jennifer, I need your help. As soon as he's done with his shower take K-T to Aphrodite's Secret for some grooming."

K-T noticed as he rushed in the locker rooms that both of the girls were dry and that it was probably why the coach had asked them. Of course the reason their were dry was their eavesdropping on the conversation rather than going to swim after their stretchings.

K-T grabbed a towel and jumped in the shower, quickly scrubbing the chlorine from his skin. Running his fingers in his hair he realized it would probably be the last time for the year that he'd need to dry his hair.
