The uniforms can't be changed.

"The league's regulation is that members of the teams must train and compete in their official team uniform, as well as wear them in PE class in place of regular school issued suits when it's swimming season. And the official uniform of the team is voted by the school board, which will next meet up in May. So you are stuck with the previous uniform." She explained.

"That doesn't seem so bad. I don't care if the uniform is a bit outdated. I'll wear it. Can I go get dressed now please? I have no idea what happened to my suit, but I don't really want to stand there like that." he begged.

"The previous coach before me wasn't a PE teacher like me. She was an academic sport theorist. And she's the reason no one had been on the boy's team in six years. She had pretty weird ideas and she managed to get the board to sign on a ten year experiment to test one of her theories. The board signed because it made them eligible for some grant. But soon all members of the team quit and once she saw that no one else would participate she left and I was hired. But we can't stop the experiment and her pick of uniform without losing a huge grant or having to reimburse the sums already received." She continued.

"OK, that sounds less good. But it can't really be that bad. The school board signed on it after all."

"It was a really huge grant, K-T. They turned a blind eye. And there's a lot we can get away with a lot as long as you put experimental project in the title."
