Mike Stein, Hero of the World

Inspired by the Hero's Harem setup, I wanted to try out a MotW team for this erotic solo rpg...similar premise but (I think) slightly different vibes! The story of course centers around the Chosen, and I rolled randomly for the other playbooks (based on what I have access to).

Mike Stein, the Chosen

Our "hero," a young white man (20) with a cocky face usually dressed in casual wear. He's got an athletic body and short-cropped brown hair that he keeps "artfully" tousled. Surprisingly tough and good-looking, though not great at his job.

Ratings: Charm+2, Cool-1, Sharp+1, Tough+2, Weird-1

Fate: Mike is the fated Champion of the forces of light and goodness (at least, that seems to be the case...). He found this out just a year ago when some weirdo told him so. While he has the advantage of a mystic inheritance to empower his striking out against the forces of darkness, he is bound to be opposed by a horde of monsters...and a nemesis, whom he hasn't met yet.

Moves:

Destiny’s Plaything: At the beginning of each mystery, roll +Weird to see what is revealed about your immediate future. On a 10+, the Keeper will reveal a useful detail about the coming mystery. On a 7-9 you get a vague hint about it. On a miss, something bad is going to happen to you.

I’m Here For A Reason: There’s something you are destined to do. Work out the details with the Keeper, based on your fate. You cannot die until it comes to pass. If you die in play, then you must spend a Luck point. You will then, somehow, recover or be returned to life. Once your task is done (or you use up all your Luck), all bets are off. Mike's destiny is to destroy the source of all monsters, averting the end of days.

Invincible: You always count as having 2-armour. This doesn’t stack with other protection.

Gear: Mike doesn't need armor, but he does have a special weapon: a magical whip made of leather from a Questing Beast (2-harm hand/close area heavy magic)

Daisy Merritte, the Mundane

A 19-year-old blonde girl with a friendly face, usually wearing sporty clothes. She's got a slightly curvy athletic frame, with small breasts and a tight, round but not massive ass. Not the sharpest tack in the shed, but there when it counts.

Ratings: Charm+2, Cool 0, Sharp-1, Tough+1, Weird+1

Moves:

The Power of Heart: When fighting a monster, if you help someone, don’t roll +Cool. You automatically help as though you’d rolled a 10.

Don’t Worry, I’ll Check It Out: Whenever you go off by yourself to check out somewhere (or something) scary, mark experience.

Always The Victim: When another hunter uses protect someone to protect you, they mark experience. Whenever a monster captures you, you mark experience.

Gear: Daisy's got access to her field hockey stick (2-harm hand innocuous messy), a small handgun her dad insisted on buying her when she moved to the city for school (2-harm close loud reload), and her bicycle - she's a big biker.

Ali K. Knight, the Crooked

A 23-year-old woman with watchful eyes, usually in street wear (a leather coat, ripped black jeans, graphic tee). She has jet-black, scruffy hair, slightly sallow skin, and green eyes. She's average height and slender, almost to the point of being bony: no ass and small tits.

_Ratings: _Charm-1, Cool+2, Sharp+3, Tough 0, Weird 0

Background: Burglar: When you break into a secure location, roll +Sharp. On a 10+ pick three, on a 7-9 pick two: you get in undetected, you get out undetected, you don’t leave a mess, you find what you were after.

Heat: Ali didn't get to where she is without making enemies. One of those is Rafael Santiago, a police detective who's made it a personal goal to put her away. Another is Vito Arrucci, a well-connected member of a mob family who'll do whatever he can to destroy her.

Underworld: Ali found out about the real (monstrous) underworld when she pulled a job with a guy who turned out to be a demon - she barely escaped with her life.

Moves:

Artifact: You ‘found’ a magical artifact with handy powers, and kept it: a protective amulet (1-armor magic recharge).

Deal with the Devil: You sold your soul to the Devil. Pick one or two things you got out of the deal: wealth, fame, youth, sensual gratification, skill (add +1 to two ratings). Payment is due in 6 months.

Gear: When she needs to, Ali brings heat: a 9-mm revolver (2-harm close loud), a shotgun (3-harm close messy), and a big knife (1-harm hand).

Phuong Marie, the Initiate

A 21-year-old Vietnamese girl with a tattooed body, usually wearing conservative, formal clothes. She keeps her hair long and neat, usually tied in a knot at the back of her head. Phuong is a member of the Beloved Paragons, an ancient order that seek to defend the world from monsters and (now) train Mike for his destiny. She's athletically built but has full breasts and a large, firm ass.

Ratings: Charm-1, Cool 0, Sharp-1, Tough+2, Weird+2

The Order of the Beloved Paragons

Phuong is one of the most promising members of the Order of the Beloved Paragons, an ancient sect of religious mystics dedicated to destroying monsters wherever they can be found. Originating in China in the Warring States period, the Beloved now have global reach, though their membership is extremely small. They have _ancient lore _and magical items, but unfortunately they require _total obedience _and they are paranoid and secretive.

Moves:

When you are in good standing with your Sect, at the beginning of each mystery, roll +Charm. On a 10+ they provide some useful info or help in the field. On a 7-9 you get a mission associated with the mystery, and if you do it you’ll get some info or help too. On a miss, they ask you to do something bad. If you fail a mission or refuse an order, you’ll be in trouble with the Sect until you atone.

Ancient Fighting Arts: When using an old-fashioned hand weapon, you inflict +1 harm and get +1 whenever you roll protect someone.

Mystic: Every time you successfully use magic, take +1 forward.

Mentor: You have a mentor in the Sect: Dr. Rupert Heath. When you contact your mentor for info, roll+Sharp. On a 10+, you get an answer to your question, no problem. On a 7-9 you choose: they’re either busy and can’t help, or they answer the question but you owe a favour. On a miss, your question causes trouble.

Gear: Phuong is trained in many martial arts by the Beloved, and has traditional armor (1-armor heavy) as well as fighting sticks (1-harm hand quick), a dao (2-harm hand messy), and, when she needs it, a sniper rifle (3-harm far).

History

From Mike's perspective: "That weird old woman who revealed that I'm some sorta chosen hero also introduced me to Phuong, saying she was 'destined to be my mentor.' I don't know about that, but she is awfully cute. If uptight. Daisy...well, I think Daisy is fated to be a romantic entanglement. I just...can tell that's going to be more than, uh...well. Anyway! Ali was a rival at first - we ran into her trying to steal something we were trying to get for my training and it got a little ugly - but we've come to a good arrangement. Phuong still doesn't trust her, though."

From Daisy's perspective: "I kinda have a huge crush on Mike? Nothing's...happened there, though. Also, I think he and Phuong are together? Which, I dunno, I don't read anything into it, but they seem weird sometimes. Phuong is awesome, she's so talented - I hope I can be just like her someday. Ali and I are cousins, though we hadn't spoken in years, until I moved to Meadowfield. She was always sorta the black sheep of the family..."

From Ali's perspective: "Daisy's my cousin, which is fucked. Just that she's mixed up in this, I mean. She's too young and too sweet to hunt monsters. Phuong is kinda a bitch, but she did save my life when we met - a ghoul had me cornered and she just cut through it like butter. I owe her one. As for Mike...well, what can I say? That confidence is kinda hot. Not that anything'll happen there, given...what I've got going on."

From Phuong's perspective: "I met Daisy when I was her RA, which has made this shift...kinda weird, but we're friends. I don't trust Ali at all - we met when we were dealing with this seemingly unstoppable tide of ghouls, and she totally ghosted before we were even done. Now she seems to be sticking around, but...yeah, I don't trust her. As for Mike. Well, he's the Hero, right? That's what the Beloved have decided. Though, to be honest, while he's pretty clearly described in our prophecies...the role he has to play isn't...actually stated. But Heath said I had to train him, so. That's what I do."

All right! This is an interesting setup. I think I'm going to have them start in the (fictional) American city of Meadowfield, in the midwest, where Mike, Phuong, and Daisy are students at Saint Evans' University. I'll be using Mythic to prompt myself when needed to come up with situations, complications, etc.
