Chapter 5
How successful is this hunt? What does Trish have up her sleeve for Uriel?
Not as well as they would've hoped
"Y'know, this is actually pretty nice." Kyle said as he and Lucy laid out on their towel. "We should do this more often."
"And you're not just saying this because your surrounded by three hot girls who just so happen to be butt ass naked?" Lucy teased playfully as she reached out and pushed down on Kyle's manhood, causing the man to gasp before The Devil giggled and released his cock. She giggled harder as the erect appendage sprung up like a spring slapped against Kyle's stomach before returning to normal.
"Well, I only have eyes for one of those hot, butt ass naked girls." Kyle replied as he sat up and licked Lucy's nipple, causing The Devil to gasp.
"Kyle! Levi and Uriel are here..."
"They were also there when we preformed the ritual." Kyle countered.
"... Fair point." Lucy purred as she slowly reached in for a kiss...
Only for a torrent of cold water to soak the two, causing them to cry out in alarm before looking over to the second naked couple smirking at them.
"Hey, Horn Dogs!" Levi chuckled, "Save it for later."
"Ooh! You two are sooo gonna get it!" Lucy yelled playfully as she shot to her feet and chased after her subordinate, the two laughing as Kyle and Uriel watched the two demons chase each other around...
"For a supposed hoax, this place seems rather fixated on keeping people away from Dead Man's Cove." Amelia observed as she, Grant, and Roxie made their way past a "Keep Out!" sign while they slinked by the rocks, having abandoned their shoes to trudge through the sand of the beach. Grant was armed with a shotgun and Roxie held a Bowie knife.
"Apparently, it's supposed to be some sanctuary for a rare sea bird." Grant explained, "But now we know that's a cover up!"
"Honey, I love you, but you can geek out about this later, okay?" Roxie asked. "And if you're a good boy, we can slay the beast after we slay The Devil and Leviathan."
"That reminds me, are we sure that Monty Python rip-off works?" Grant asked as he gestured to The Holy Hand Grenade Mark II in Amelia's hand.
"My sister may be many things, Mr. Rogers, but stupid is not one of them." Amelia said, frowning slightly. "Her gadgets in particular have a ninety-seven percent success rate."
"Ninety-seven?" Roxie asked with a laugh in disbelief. "And the other three percent?"
"... Let's not get into that." Amelia said flatly. Clearing her throat, she said, "And besides, ninety-seven percent is still an 'A', is it not?"
"Whatever. Fine." Grant said as they came to a large dune, peeking over it to see Lucy playfully pinning Levi down as Kyle and Uriel watched on.
"Uncle! Uncle!" Levi replied with a laugh as she struggled out of Lucy's grip. "You win! You win! I'm sorry!"
"And don't you forget it!" Lucy playfully teased as she gently punched Levi's arm.
"Aww! That's almost human..."
At hearing the voice, the four turned around to see Grant and Roxie standing in front of them, the former aiming his shotgun at them.
"Did you miss us?" Grant asked with an evil grin.
"How did you guys get out?" Lucy asked, more in annoyance than anything else as she shook her head. She and the other three took a few steps forward, leaving the towels. "Don't you guys have like a few more years or something?"
"Shut up!" Roxie snapped, successfully keeping the sly laugh out of her voice as she and Grant saw Amelia sneaking through the sand behind the four and setting the grenade down under Uriel's swimsuit.
"Y'know, the only reason I didn't use my hellfire powers when you first tracked me down all those months ago was because I wanted to keep my identity as The Devil a secret just a little longer." Lucy said as she calmly grabbed the barrel of the shotgun and the knife blade with each hand, giving a coy smile. "Now though? Well," Lucy smiled widely as the barrel and blade began to heat up and melt in her hands before she let them go, "now I have no reason to hold back, now do I?"
"Perhaps..." Roxie said as she and Grant dropped their weapons to the sand, grins on their faces. "Or perhaps not?"
Lucy was just about to ask what she meant when she caught sight of Amelia behind Kyle pressing a button on a...
"Grenade!" Lucy shouted as she shoved Kyle away just as the grenade went off, a wave of bright white light shooting out as both Lucy and Levi let out a scream of pain.
"Lucy!"
"Leviathan!"
Once the light dissipated, Lucy and Levi staggered back to their feet, their bodies completely unharmed. However, both demon lords looked at one another to see a mark of a cross on Levi's shoulder and Lucy's stomach, gasping in horror as they exclaimed, "Crucifix!"
"Quite." Amelia said as she walked up and stood next to Grant and Roxie. "The kryptonite of your kind, as it were."
"But not mine!" Uriel growled, summoning a flaming sword from her hands as her wings expanded.
"Patricia, whatever you're planning, do it know..." Amelia muttered as the archangel glared the three down.
With a yell, Uriel flew foward as she swung her sword, a wave of flames flying towards the trio as they dodged it.
Trish hummed an off-key rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody as she laid up on top of a small cliff top, setting up a sniper rifle as she opened up a case that read "Sigils".
"Let's see 'ere." Trish said to herself as she looked through the various rubber bullets in the case. "'Concealment'. 'Entrapment'. Ah! 'Ere we go! 'De-powerment'."
Placing the rubber bullet into the chamber of the rifle, Trish took aim at Uriel's ass through the scope. "'Ope yew like da new tramp stamp, Bitch."
"Does that sister of yours actually have a plan?!" Grant shouted as the trio dodged another stream of flame.
"Honesty not sure at the moment!" Amelia replied.
Suddenly, a white blur flew past the trio as a series of slashes were heard. Within seconds, the trio's pants reduced to ribbons, exposing Grant's black boxers, Roxie's Barney print panties, and Amelia's Spice Girls boyshorts.
"Barney...?" Amelia asked in confusion as Lucy, Levi, and Kyle chuckled briefly.
"Not again!" Roxie exclaimed, her face going red as she tugged her shirt down over her embarrassing underwear.
"AND THERE'S MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM!" Uriel shouted, her voice booming and reverbing as she floated in place with her wings flapping. "BEGONE AND LEAVE THIS PLACE AT ONCE IF -"
Uriel suddenly screamed in pain as she felt something strike her ass cheek, dropping her sword and causing it to land on the towels, sending a silvery object flying towards Kyle as the flaming blade ignited the towels, beach bags, and swimsuits before disappearing.
"Our stuff!" Lucy shouted.
"MY BABY!" Levi exclaimed as she saw Uriel's wings disappear completely, the angel falling to the beach below. The demon lord got to her feet and raced forward to be under the falling archangel, extending her arms out and catching Uriel bridal style before she hit the ground.
"Ha! Bullseye!" Trish exclaimed. Suddenly, a thought came to her mind as she pulled out her phone and dialed a number. "'Ello, Chief! Trish 'ere. Ames' sister? Roight. 'Ey, Oi just 'ad a question about angels..."
"That’s it! I'm -" Lucy began as she snapped her fingers, going pale as she realized nothing happened. "Oh crap!"
"Well, well, well." Roxie said as she picked up the remains of her knife, grinning ear to ear at the three powerless beings. "Looks like the shoe is on the other foot, isn't it?"
"I wouldn’t be so sure about that..." Kyle said as he stood in front of Lucy and the others.
"Look, I don't know why you keep trying to betray humanity, Pal!" Grant snapped, "Nor do I care, but you are out matched now!"
"Are we?" Kyle asked with a smug smirk as he held up the whistle, causing Levi to smirk knowingly. Kyle took a deep breath and blew into the whistle, no sound coming out.
"A dog whistle? That's your angle?" Amelia asked with a chuckle.
Kyle said nothing, merely smirking as a massive reptilian head emerged from the ocean behind him, Coral snarling at the pantless intruders.
"The Beast of Dead Man's Cove!" Grant gasped in excitement before looking up smugly at the sky, "See that, Aunt Genevieve! Who's the lunatic now?!"
"She's not up there..." Uriel said in a daze as Levi placed her back on her feet.
Coal let out a deafening roar as she shot out a torrent of water from her mouth, soaking the demon hunters and sending them flying off the beach before splashing down into the water.
The trio yelled as they landed on their backs in the sandy parking lot, Grant spitting out water as Roxie pulled the seaweed and the fish out of her hair.
"I do believe I have gotten sand in my knickers..." Amelia muttered flatly.
"... So, if da angel were to 'ave attacked first, dey would fall under as a rogue angel and would be okay to put down?" Trish asked, a sly smug coming to her face. "Alroight. Just checkin'. Dank yew very much, Sir."
Trish pocketed her phone and chuckled to herself as she packed up everything, only stopping as she saw a dark shadow over her. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Coral glaring down at her with a snarl, bearing her rows of serrated teeth.
"Oh bloody 'ell!"
"Okay, what just happened?!" Kyle asked, looking around. "Why did your powers stop working?!"
"Because of these!" Lucy explained, gesturing to the crucifix on her stomach. "A crucifix! These things pretty much render demonic power as nonexistent. I found this out the hard way back in Ireland when Stingy Jack tricked me into not collecting his soul."
"Okay, so what about Uriel? That... Crucifix bomb didn't seem to affect her."
"Yeah, Uri, what happened?" Levi asked, "First you were that badass swordswoman I haven't seen since the war and next thing I know you're plummeting like someone dropped a block of cement from a plane."
"I... I don’t know." Uriel stammered, "I just felt this... This thing hit me in the butt, and then I..." she looked over her shoulder and gasped in horror, "A sigil! They marked me with a sigil!"
"A what?" Kyle asked.
"It's like an angelic version of a crucifix." Uriel explained, "A marking that, with the right spell, strips an angel of their angelic powers."
"... These can't be the same two who got sprayed by skunks all night long and were later found having sex in a zoo all those months ago, right?" Lucy asked in amazement, "Where would they even get this stuff?"
"I don't know, but speaking of 'stripped'," Kyle said as he gestured to the charred remains of their belongings, "looks like we're doing the ritual again. I mean, I don't mind doing the main ritual, but the streaking across the city -"
"Yeah, not exactly." Lucy said sheepishly, "Crucifixes and sigils are a completely different animal from holy water. We're going to need some serious magic to remove these and get our powers back."
"And even if it did work, we still couldn't preform it without six demon lords giving the demonic energy to the other one." Levi added.
"Okay..." Kyle said uneasily. "And where can we find someone to remove these."
"Well," Levi said as she put a hand to her chin, "as far as I know, the only woman I know who can be strong enough to be able to remove thes is Maz-"
"NO!"
The other three turned to Uriel in surprise, shocked by the archangel's outburst. A second later, she cleared her throat as she quickly said, "I mean, that's probably not a good idea. You girls know how much of a annoyance Mazu can be at times."
"Yeah, Mazu is annoyingly kind and she's... Well, a living example of a Mary Sue, to put it nicely." Lucy admitted, "But she's the only one has the powers to remove these from us, Uriel."
"What about your half-brother?! He could do it if we asked!"
"Half-br-" Kyle began, only to stop as he connected the dots. "Oh Jesus Christ..."
"He goes by Jesús Christopher when he's down here." Lucy said before turning back to Uriel. "Which he's not, by the way. He's up there with Dad. And even if he wasn't, Hell no! I'm not letting my younger half-brother see me naked!"
"But... Mazu?"
"Honey, I don't like it either." Levi said, putting a hand on her fiancée's shoulder. "Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any other options."
"I... I..." Uriel stammered before sighing. "Okay."
Kyle didn’t know why, but something about the look on Uriel's face said that it wasn't just this Mazu woman's personality that was bothering the archangel. It was almost as if Uriel was hiding something. Of course, Kyle shook the thought from his head, finding it kinda laughable.
"Okay, and this Mazu is..."
"Goddess of The Ocean from Chinese Mythology." Levi replied.
"Okay, so we either have to ride Coral to some undersea kingdom or along the coast to some beach house, right?" Kyle asked.
"Um... Not exactly." Lucy said, rubbing the back of her neck. "See, Mazu is The Goddess of The Ocean, but she's kinda set up shop inland. A oceanic museum."
"How far inland?" Kyle asked, not liking where this was going.
"The middle of the city." Uriel replied, rubbing her bare arm.
"... ... ... Not again." Kyle sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Well, that hunt could've gone better." Roxie muttered as she wrung her hair while Grunt wrung his shirt. Nearby, behind a bush, Amelia was shaking the sand out of her boyshorts before slipping them back up. "Still, I suppose it's better than being sprayed by giant skunks."
"Well, our targets are powerless at least." Amelia said as she came out from behind the bush. "They should be easier to track down and destroy now."
"Yeah. Keywords 'Should be'." Grant muttered as he slipped his shirt back on.
"Once Patricia gets back, we'll get inside the van, shower, change, and regroup to come up with a new -" Amelia said, only to be interrupted by a series of grunts and groans as she looked up to see Trish rolling down a hill towards the group, landing on her back in the sand.
"Ow... Bloody sea monster..." Trish groaned as she sat up, rubbing her head. Looking around, she was stunned to see Grant, Amelia, and Roxie standing in front of her. "Where da bloody 'ell are yewr trousers? Why are yew all wet?"
"Well..."
"Ha! Fuckin' Barney?!" Trish cackled as she got to her feet, pointing at Roxie's panties. "Nice knickers, Maite!"
"Oh yeah?!" Roxie growled as she blushed, pulling down on her shirt. Despite this, she still gave a smirk. "Same to you, Ms. Teletubby!"
Trish's laughter died down some as she registered what Roxie said, dying completely as she looked down and blushed at the sight of her own Teletubby print panties. "Fuckin' sea monster ate my trousers!"
"..."
"..."
"..."
"... Fuck! Which means it ate da bleedin' keys!" Trish swore.
How does the streak to Mazu's museum go?
