A lot of the details were meaningless to June, such as sight lines into the area and the best places to position guards and snipers. June was impressed by how seriously Angela was taking Caleb’s protection. As far as June could tell nothing short of an army would be able to get to her son.

Angela then told them the plan for the actual travel to the house. They were going to use identical vehicles with tinted windows that randomly switched positions on the highway so that no one outside the travel team would know which one Caleb was in.

It was at this point June raised her head. “Excuse me Angela, but I’m pretty sure Caleb and Kathy assumed they would ride together, but you have them in separate cars. I understand your reasoning but you’re not going to convince them to split up. I know my son, and he will simply refuse to go.”
