Chapter 285 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

Go Kim, fight for workers' rights!

Let's take your car and mess around at the park all day

Nick had been on the raised chair ride, so he knew what it was like to be in the position that the girls were currently in. (Though most of them probably handled getting boobs pressed into them a little better than he had.)

But seeing it from the other side was certainly something.

“I can’t believe we actually went on that thing,” Kim said, shaking her head in disbelief. “Look at how high up they are! And those chairs, how do they even swing out at that far of an angle without them falling out?!”

The chairs were sticking out at a 45 degree angle. Nick had certainly felt worried that he might fall out when he was on the ride himself, but looking at it from the ground, he was astounded that the girls DIDN’T.

Maybe Dawn is onto something with that whole “physics” thing, thought the English major.

When the ride came to a stop, it was clear how much of a blast the girls had. Not just from the cheers of excitement that had come whirling around the sky while it was running. But the giddy grins on several faces, and how messy everyone’s hair was, said quite a lot.

“WOOOO! That was badass!” Carly cheered, pumping both fists into the air. “That was awesome, right sis?”

“Pretty fun,” Marley said, her eyes shining with delight. While not as blatant with her excitement as her sister was, it was clear that Marley had really enjoyed herself.

A few people were having a little more trouble, though.

“Whoa… whoa now…”

Sylvia staggered around the grotto the ride was set in, trying to get back to the gate. “The whole place is spinning… why is the whole place spinning!?”

Luckily, Holly was there to catch her before she fell over.

“Be careful,” she warned the other girl. “Let the world slow down a little, before you throw up.”

Sylvia gulped and nodded. It was difficult for her to tell who was talking to her, though, because their face wouldn’t stay in one place.

“That was certainly a fun ride,” Rose said, stepping through the gate. “I enjoyed myself immensely!”

Dawn raised her eyebrow. “…How is it that you look completely normal after that?” She asked. While her own ponytail was a whorl of tangles after being whipped through the air, Rose didn’t have a single hair out of place.

The blonde smirked. “It’s a difference in terms of class,” she sniffed.

Dawn rolled her eyes. Of course Rose would give an answer like that.

“I’m pumped!” Dani punched the palm of her hand. “That was so fun! It’s been a lifetime since I went to an amusement park!”

She looked like an absolute mess. And it had been her screams that were louder than anyone else’s. Dani had tried to come in the most casual clothes she could, a fluttering blouse and a long skirt. Her clothing was a bit rumpled, but it was really her hair that had taken the brunt of the damage. Carly’s hair always looked nice thanks to her transformation, while Holly and Dawn both tied theirs up to mitigate the damage. But Dani’s cascade of blue looked like it had fought with a tornado. As the girl with the longest hair here, she had certainly gone wild. Morgana’s was the same way.

…Gina didn’t count, because her hair looked like a complete nightmare to begin with.

“I-I’m… I’m a little…” Morgana stumbled over to the trash can, her face looking a little more pallid than usual.

Then it looked a little green.

“HURK! HORAAAGHKKK!” She bent over and began to hurl, much to everyone’s displeasure.

“Oh no! Morgana!” Mary wailed, rushing over to her immediately.

“She’s fine,” Dawn assured the panicking farmgirl, walking over to lend some assistance. “It’s just motion sickness. It happens due to a discrepancy in sensory perception between a person’s eyes, their brain, and the vestibular system.”

“Ve… vesti-what?” Morgana panted, looking warily up at the doctor.

Dawn adjusted her glasses and offered little more than a sympathetic smile. “It’s an organ inside your ear,” she gently informed the nauseous goth. “It’s responsible for maintaining your sense of equilibrium. When your sensory input is jostled too strongly by sharp turns and high speeds, your body compensates through-”

“Yeah, I think we all saw how it compensated,” Rose cut her off, making a face. “No roller coasters for you, sweetie.”

“…Curiously, adults tend to have more trouble with their vestibular systems,” Dawn said, raising her eyebrow. “As we age, we become less efficient at assessing proper movement and our body’s motion and position. And yet Morgana is the youngest one of us. It’s quite fascinating how different people’s bodies can be.”

“Hey, I’m younger than she is!” Sylvia objected. “I just became 18 like… five days ago or whatever, remember?”

Dawn ignored that.

Nick cleared his throat and walked over to the cat girl. He patted her on the shoulder. “Dawn, remember what we talked about, when it comes to making friends? Maybe analyzing their throwing up isn’t the best thing to do.”

“I’m just trying to explain that she’s going to be okay,” Dawn said, shrugging him off. She crouched down next to Morgana and held her arm. “Morgana, you’re fine. You just need to sit down for a bit and not do anything too strenuous for a while, okay? Doctor’s orders.”

Morgana blinked, still feeling a little dizzy. Too afraid to open her mouth lest she resume her prior oral evacuation, she just nodded her head.

“Well, that really brought the mood down,” Gina sighed, stretching. “What now? Just stick to the kiddy rides, then?”

“Gina…” Nick sighed. As good of a person as Gina could be, she really sucked at this whole “empathy” thing sometimes.

“Well, how about this?” Dawn proposed. “We were talking earlier about all of us splitting up and going to try different things, right? So why don’t Morgana and I go try some of the less intense rides, and anyone who wants to do the more **** stuff, they can go do that? We don’t have to pass Sylvia around or anything, she can just go wherever she wants.”

“I want to go with Daddy!” Sylvia said automatically, skipping over to Nick and wrapping her arm around his.

Nick sighed. “Sylvia, do you even remember what the point of today is?” He asked. “It’s not about sticking to me. You’re supposed to be spending time with the other girls and having fun with them, so you can get along with everyone better and enjoy yourself.”

“…Yeah, you’re right,” Sylvia sighed, letting him go. “But that doesn’t mean you have to avoid me, though, right?”

“…I mean, I guess not,” Nick agreed. “As long as you’re not clinging to me or anything like that.”

“Well, count me in for the suspense rides!” Carly said, grabbing her sister by the hand. “Marley and I will totally rock the roller coasters!”

“Obviously I’ll be with them,” Gina nodded in agreement.

“I want something a little more slow,” Mary said, shaking her head. She crossed her arms over her chest and blushed. “On that last ride… my shirt came loose like three times, and I had to keep redoing it…”

That was certainly a revelation.

Nick cleared his throat. “You know, Mary, if you’re anxious, we could always go on the roller coasters together,” he offered.

“Gee, I wonder what he could be after,” Gina loudly declared, demolishing any plausible deniability Nick might have had with a sledgehammer. Everyone knew what he was after, including Mary, but that line just made it awkward.

Nick blushed.

“W-well, maybe…” Mary stammered, smiling a little.

“Count me in for whichever rides Nick will be going on,” Rose stated. “Thrill rides, or something slower and more… intimate… it doesn’t matter to me.” She gave him a saucy wink, being just as unsubtle with her desires as he was.

“I’m up for thrills,” Dani said. “We should probably have an equal number of people here, though, since we wouldn’t want anyone to have to sit alone on the roller coasters.”

Unfortunately, they had an odd number, since Kim was still bound to her contract. The asian girl sighed and shook her head.

“I can clock off in a couple hours,” she informed the others. “Then I can hang out with you guys. Until then, I’m stuck running things. Sorry.”

After a little more debate, they worked out what everyone would be doing.

Carly, Marley, Gina, and Dani would be going for the more exciting rides, while Dawn, Morgana, and Mary would stick to things that were a little less intense. Meanwhile, Nick would be sticking with Sylvia and doing whatever she wanted to do, and Rose and Holly followed him like a couple of bitches in heat ready to be mounted.

That last bit was how Dawn saw the situation, anyway.

Sylvia’s dizziness was the tipping point. She wanted something that was a little easier to get her bearings on, so she decided to stick with the easy rides first. The two groups agreed, and split off to go in different directions with an agreement to meet back at the food court for lunch when Kim finally got off her shift.

Which of course made for quite an amusing situation when they reunited less than ten minutes later at the same ride.

“Wait, you guys are going on the Bumper Cars too?” Dani asked, surprised. “I thought you were looking for something easier?”

“Bumper Cars are easier,” Dawn replied. “Sure, there’s jostling and bumping into one another, but there aren’t sharp turns or very high speeds. They’re fine on the inner ear. I’m just surprised that you guys would be going for them, given how you seemed to want thrill rides.”

“Oh, believe me,” Gina giggled, her eyes sparkling mischievously, “when I’m behind the wheel, there are PLENTY of sharp turns and high speeds.”

“I think that’s a good thing,” Nick said. “…Not the Gina driving part, that just sounds horrifying. I mean, the fact that we found a ride that everyone can do!”

“Hey!” Gina pouted.

Nick stuck out his tongue.

“Ahem.”

Sylvia cleared her throat, drawing everyone’s attention.

“What is it?” Marley asked.

“You’re getting the name wrong, guys,” Sylvia said, pointing up at the sign hanging over the warehouse where this attraction was situated.

RUMPER CARS

Nick sighed and slapped his face in exasperation. Gina doubled over and howled with laughter.

“Something tells me this isn’t going to be good,” Mary sighed, shaking her head. She was getting bad vibes from this whole thing.

The look of dejection on Kim’s face as they reached her ticketing booth spoke volumes about just how right they were.

“Just… keep an open mind,” she sighed, shaking her head.

The alley that the Rumper Cars would take place in was well-designed. A flat cement surface with plenty of open space for people to bump into each other and even build up some decent speed competing with one another.

The problem was the cars themselves.

Unlike most of the other rides at the Amusement Park, the Rumper Cars were one-seaters. That didn’t exactly make them more appealing, though.

Where in other parks, the cars would be painted a wide rainbow of colors, reds, blues, purples, greens, and yellows, here they were all varying shades of pink, with a few pale white and a few in darkening shades approaching brown.

Skin colors.

It just got worse from there. The front of each car was shaped like a curved dome, with a rounded crown that one COULD try and charitably argue was a type of spoiler or buffer to keep the driver safe from the impact.

But given the color of the cars, it was very obviously the head of a circumcised penis. As for the rear of the car, well, the term “Rumper Car” was certainly an apt one, because the back of each car bulged out into two large cushions that could not possibly be mistaken for anything other than a bouncing ass.

The Carousel was unsubtle. This was just grotesque.

“They can’t be serious,” Nick groaned, shaking his head.

“This is so gross,” Mary shivered. “I-I don’t want to ride around in a… one of THOSE!”

She wasn’t sold on the whole “Bumper Car” idea to begin with; she thought that it was violent and crass, and didn’t get the fun of crashing cars into one another. But while peer pressure may have gotten her to give it a try under normal circumstances, this firmly cemented her refusal.

“Yup, a lot of rides are like this, I told you,” Sylvia said, completely unfazed by the row of dick cars in front of her. “So, you guys in?”

“NO!” Mary said automatically.

“This is a little…” Dani made a face. The idea of riding around in a penis was about as sickening as she could imagine. It had been what kept her off that gross Carousel.

But then, Dani never liked Carousels. Bumper Cars, on the other hand? Those were some of her favorite rides.

She took a deep breath and then exhaled.

“…Okay. I’ll do it, if someone else would like to,” she said finally. “I like Bumper Cars. So if someone else is willing to give it a shot, then I’ll get in on the action.”

She shivered when she said that. The word “action” wasn’t how she wanted to describe the situation here.

“I’m in, obviously,” Gina grinned. “It’s not like you’ll catch me being all prudish over something like this, hah!”

Carly turned to her sister. Marley could see by the look in her eyes that there was no way Carly would be sitting this one out.

She still had to try to put her foot down, though.

“No way. Absolutely not,” Marley said, shaking her head firmly.

“Come on!” Carly groaned.

“Not. A. Chance.” Marley was adamant. “These are one-seaters, Carly! We can’t ride in one together! Which means the second you get more than ten feet away from me, I go splat! I don’t want that, do you want that?”

Carly frowned. Marley made a pretty legitimate point.

“…Okay,” she relinquished, nodding reluctantly. “You’ve been getting kind of a bum rap recently, sis. I don’t want to make things worse.”

“I already said I was up for it,” Sylvia shrugged.

“I’m in too,” Holly agreed. “Come on, guys, it’s just a dick with an ass attached. Most of you have already ridden dicks before, right?”

Sylvia cracked a grin and nodded, appreciating Holly’s sense of humor.

Mary was less appreciative. But no one needed to know her position on the matter.

“…I’ll go,” Rose said, surprising everyone.

“Really?” Dawn looked at her, raising her eyebrow suspiciously. “The Carousel was too much for your dignity, but this is fine for your delicate sensibilities?”

Rose smiled innocently. “Well… I’ll take part if Nick takes part too,” she said, turning to Nick and batting her eyelashes.

“Seriously?” Nick stared at her.

“What? Is there a problem?” Dani asked, crossing her arms over her chest. “I’m willing to ride in a dick car, but you’re not willing to get in one yourself? That doesn’t really seem fair.”

“Come on, Nick, you haven’t gone on any rides yourself yet!” Gina pointed out. “Yeah, some of ‘em are a little weird, but come on, they’re fun.”

Nick considered what they were saying, and admitted that maybe they had a point. He was being kind of a prude.

“…Okay,” he relented, nodding. “I’m willing to play too. It’s all in good fun, after all. Even if it’s a little twisted.”

“Yes!” Sylvia grinned. She beamed at Nick, happy that he was going to be taking part.

Dawn sighed. “…I guess I might as well join in too, with that logic,” she agreed. “No sense in being a killjoy, after all.”

“Awesome, Dawn’s getting in on this too? That’s just great!” Gina smiled earnestly Dawn’s way, which surprised her. She didn’t think that the punk girl would care one way or the other if she was participating. Gina just kept catching her off-guard with stuff like this.

“Um… actually…”

Then the most surprising thing of all happened.

Morgana, of all people, stepped up with a tense look on her face.

“Morgana? You want to join?” Nick asked, sounding more surprised than he’d intended. But he couldn’t help himself- after all, Morgana HAD just gotten sick, and now she was interested in something as gross as this?

…Then again, he remembered when he’d first met Morgana, how she had been. And how she’d continued to be, for most of their time together.

Honestly? He wouldn’t be surprised if riding on a dick car was one of her fantasies.

Everyone worked out who was going to go into which car, and then they pulled out of the lanes.

Mary sighed in disappointment, and watched them start going at it. It really did look like fun… but it also made her feel squeamish and gross.

“Aww, man, it looks like they’re having fun over there,” Carly sighed, sitting next to the farmgirl and cradling her chin in her hands. “Marley, why do you have to be such a killjoy?”

Marley didn’t dignify that with a response. She just rolled her eyes.

“…Hey, Carly?”

“Hmm?” Carly looked at Mary, surprised that the redhead initiated the conversation. They weren’t exactly close. “What’s up?”

“…Am I a killjoy too?” Mary asked quietly. “Everyone else is having fun, but… I didn’t want to go on the intense rides. And I didn’t want to go on this one, either. Should I have just given it a shot?”

“Absolutely,” Carly replied automatically, making Mary wince.

“Sis…” Marley frowned.

“Sorry, sorry, that came out wrong,” Carly said, quickly shaking her head. “I mean, you absolutely should have given it a try. After all, it’s all in good fun. Trying out new things is great! But don’t worry, that doesn’t make you a killjoy, no matter what I said to my sister.”

Marley rolled her eyes again.

“Really?” Mary asked, relaxing slightly.

“Yup,” Carly said, nodding. “It’s cool to have personal tastes and things you’re comfortable with. But personally, I like going out of my comfort zone. I like having fun. Right? I think it’s the same with you, you just don’t see it that way.”

“Huh?” Mary stared at her in confusion.

“I mean, proposing to Nick, that had to have been outside of your comfort zone, right?” Carly glanced up at her sister. “Marley here had a front row seat to that.”

“Yeah, I guess…” Mary murmured, nodding.

“So that’s just it,” Carly shrugged. “You stepped out of your comfort zone, and now you have a husband. I’m not saying just throw yourself into whatever comes your way, but… you might have had fun, if you’d decided to play along. I know I would’ve.”

Mary took another look, and saw Sylvia laughing her head off as she rammed her car into the side of Holly’s.

It really did look like fun. And the penis part didn’t even really matter when you got right down to it…

“…Maybe you’re right,” she admitted. “Okay, I’m going to try a little harder.”

Yay, go Mary!
