10. Equipment: a spyglass

In the moonlight, something glints. Lygia pauses and cautiously approaches. To her delight, she sees an old, dirty spyglass. She cleans the lens on her pants and looks through it to check the internal mechanisms. Sure enough, it works perfectly. Thinking she might be able to get a better heading, she attempts to climb a tree again to get a look at her situation from above the foliage.
