16. A cache of items

As the sun lowers, the angle of the light changes and Lygia sees something flash in the corner of her eye. The buckle on a pack! She scrambles over, hoping to find something useful. Sure enough, inside she finds some bandages, 50 feet of rope, a fire starter, 2 torches, a few gold, and a set of clothes. While there isn’t any armor, she’s grateful to have at least something to work from.

Lygia spends the rest of the afternoon attending to her hand and cooking more of the snake meat so she has rations for the coming days. As the stars begin to rise, she again puts out her fire so the light doesn’t draw attention in the dangerous woods. Shouldering her pack, she looks up at the sky, hoping to figure out where exactly she is.
