Basement Findings

When Lexi reached the bottom of the steps, she found herself in a large room lit by florescent lights. The walls were adorned with whiteboards and screens. In the center of the room was a detailed miniature model of the city. Lexi made her way over to the model city and as she looked it over she saw that the Community she now lived in was far bigger than she imagined. It seemed to encompass multiple districts and there were plans to expand to others. This is insane. How could they possibly have built such a large gated community without anyone noticing? Lexi's mind raced with possibilities, but the screens on the walls caught her attention.

She moved over to the screens and saw that there were twelve groups of four screens, each group seemed to be labeled with a different surname and monitoring a different household. On the group of screens labeled 'Yamasaki' she saw Dominique and Tabitha, the two female pets she had played with at the park. They were resting on their dog beds as their owner seemingly worked on her computer. On another group of monitors, these ones labeled 'Johnson', Lexi saw Kash, the first human pet she met. He was get in the bath, getting washed by his owner. Why is Ms. Chaudhari monitoring all the other pets? Maybe there's some answers around here somewhere.

Lexi looked over to the whiteboard on the walls and read what they said. One of the whiteboards had detailed schedules of the other household. Another whiteboard described plans to expand 'The Pet Project' to other cities along with lists of scouting sites for new pets, and the last whiteboard talked about other projects that Prosperous Solutions was working on including one called 'The Retreat' that was described as 'A luxurious voyage for the rich and famous that would lead them to a new home among the stars.' Before Lexi could read any more, she heard the basement door slam shut. Panicked, she turned toward the staircase only to see Ms. Chaudhari descending the steps.

"You've been a very bad girl, Lexi."
