You decide to go to the local temple. It still takes you a significant amount of time to wait for the work to be completed at the forge. It's much better if you use the waiting time to find useful information about the monster that is terrorizing this village. If you're lucky, Priest Bernard may be able to help you with something more useful than information.

Thinking about the difficult hunt ahead of you, you walk through the village. Thanks to the fact that the old peasant woman explained where you need to go, you can easily find the local temple.

However, this modest wooden building is not worthy to be called such a majestic term... “Temple” is too flattering an expression for this building.

Your gaze takes in this building, which looks like an ordinary house of a local peasant. An old fence that is broken in several places. The walls are made of poorly planed pine logs. Complete absence of any decoration or luxury. Only one thing indicates that this building has the status of a place of worship for the local population. This sign: the traditional religious symbol of the Church of the Equal Brother-Divines, which is mounted on the wall of the house (just above the door). This symbol is familiar to you, it is a figure of a ship and a tower against a background of waves (the symbol is probably made of cheap material - perhaps it is copper).

You move closer to one of the doors that are located in the corridor.

You listen. That strange noise again. It's like sobbing. Or a mixture of sobs and laughter.

You think: “I don’t like what I’m hearing...”

Sounds come from this small room.

You clench your fists.

You nervously think: “If I have to fight now, it will be very risky... After all, my weapon is still with the blacksmith...”

Strange sounds are heard again.

This room could be dangerous.

You have neither an axe, nor a sword, nor arrows, nor even a dagger with you. The memory of your silver dagger, which someone stole from you, affects your consciousness. You feel growing anxiety and fear.
