John could almost picture her dripping with water in the shower with him. It wasn’t a difficult thing to imagine after their last hour together, combined with her wet hair after her shower on Monday. He pulled Tala back onto his chest and kissed her with another growl of need at the thought. She giggled and gave a little squeak. Rolling over him smoothly, the motion making her straddle his lap just enough for John’s libido to spike back up, Tala put her feet on the floor, offering her partner a hand.

The gamer tried to keep control of himself. He really did not want sex to be the only connection they had, even if it was an amazing one.

“Come on, then. Let’s get cleaned up,” she said. Her smile was cheeky. John found it an adorable look with the flush of activity still on her cheeks.

“If cleaning up is the plan,” he smirked, “I’m not so sure we should go in there together.” Letting his eyes wander her lithe body suggestively, the gamer raised an eyebrow when he noticed her shifting her stance. ’Did that make her uncomfortable?’

He dismissed the thought as she smiled even wider than before. “Oooh. I like what you’re implying there.” Her deep brown eyes took on a dreamy, far away look. “Steam, running water…” She trailed off a moment as he got up and grabbed his shorts, but she refocused, eyes locking on John’s again. “I should take you out to the river sometime.”

“There’s a river around here?” Though it had been a long time since he’d gone out in the woods with his dad for hiking or camping, the gamer couldn’t recall any rivers in the area. ’There aren’t even any marked on the map at the trailhead, though that thing seriously needs replacing,’ he thought to himself, recalling the half shredded and water-stained park map tacked to a rotting board.

“Yup!” Tala’s voice was bright as she pulled him down the hall to the familiar bathroom. “Still inside the pack’s barrier, too,” she said. “Just means nobody will freak out about me going out there alone with you.”

“Mmm…” John murmured noncommittally as he admired her body. She confidently walked the halls of her home completely naked after sex. He, however, walked awkwardly behind her, covering himself with his boxers bundled in one hand. ’I’d probably be more comfortable, too, in my own house.’ Though he did note that the house was still quiet as they shut the bathroom door, snapping the lock into place.

The sound **** his mind back to the present. “Maybe the next time I’m here to visit, you can show me that river instead.” He smiled at the idea, both sides of himself enjoying that thought.

Tala paused. Looking back at him, frozen in the process of reaching into the shower to turn on the water. “You really mean that? You’ll come to visit soon?” Her voice pitched up, fangs showing with her smile.

Her honest excitement at the idea eased the last of his anxieties about it. “I’ll have a car to get here myself, so it’ll be easier and faster.” John closed the short distance between them, placing his shorts off to the side. ”I think I want to spend as much time here, with you, as possible. If you’ll have me.” He smirked at her soft gasp and kissed her. “You’re adorable when you blush like that.”

Tala’s blush brightened. “T-thank you.” He let the beautiful lycan turn back to shifting the temperature of the water. ’I don’t think I’ve ever seen her all shy and unsure before. She was all confident Monday.’

“Though, how about this weekend,” he pondered aloud, watching his lover pull her hair into a bun to keep it dry. “I want you to meet my mom. Either by bringing her here, if that is allowed, or by bringing you to my house.”

She stopped. The beautiful girl, hands still in her hair, stared at him.

“Your parents could come too if they’re worried about it,” John qualified. “Or if you’re worried about it. I know you don’t really leave the barrier much.”

“Hmm.” Tala chewed her inner cheek as she thought. Her expression was still faraway while she stepped into the running water, absently taking her partner’s hand to gently pull him along with her.

John tried not to worry about her silent pondering, instead focusing on controlling his erection at the sight of the water running over her smooth skin. ’Having our parents meeting each other would be a massive step, but I know Mom would absolutely love to meet her. She could use more friends anyway so it’d be nice if our parents got along.’ He stepped around the athletic girl smoothly, moving between her and the water to grab a washcloth and the bodywash.

“Maybe if our parents meet, you and I can spend more time together without you needing an escort.” ’Or without me needing to sneak out behind Mom’s back,’ he added in his head.

The girl half turned, smiling as John started washing her, just wanting an excuse to touch her body. His fingers slowed as they traced the now pale scar that was all that was left of the wound she got when they met. “That’s a good point. I know my mom has been curious about your family, not that she’d pry if she didn’t have to.”

The suds were almost lace-like over her tanned skin and John admired the sight as she took the cloth from him to return the favor, accepting his new quest to get full access to the view. He bit back a satisfied sigh as she washed him, closing his eyes to enjoy the sensations. After his showers back home, it was soothing to have the unscented soap not overpowering him.

As the water rinsed the soap from them, Tala wrapped her arms around the gamer’s waist. To keep her hair dry, John reached back to turn off the water, letting the last bit of cold water hit his back.

Though she wasn’t much shorter, the dream of a woman tucked her head into the crook of his neck, murmuring against his skin, “Is it bad I’m a little nervous about meeting your mom?”

“Don’t be,” he soothed. Placing a kiss on her hair, he grabbed a towel to wrap them both in, holding her naked body to his. “I know she’ll absolutely love you. Trust me.”

Tala pulled back to look up at him with a smile. “With my life.”
