When he woke the next day he texted Annie immediately. She was normally pretty good about replying, so it made him a little worried when she didn't. Finally, just before noon she called, "Hello?" Pete answered.

"Pete, can you come over now?" She asked.

"It's...well, just get over here. I'll explain when you get here." Annie hung up before he could follow up. He'd been waiting for her call so he was ready and out the door in a moment. He practically ran all the way to her house. He knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

Pete was a little shocked by Annie's behaviour. Annie and Kelly always seemed to get along great. Pete heard someone moving inside the room and then Kelly spoke through the door, "Pete, is that you?"

"I'm here Kelly, what's going on?" Pete said.
