Baldur’s Gate 3: ENF and Embarrassment

You awake with a start, eyes shooting open as you look around wildly, you couldn’t move, couldn’t resist, you could barely even breathe or see straight. And yet, despite that, it wasn’t hard to see the tentacled face staring back at you, you let out a sharp intake of breath in horror as the beast approached the pod you were seemingly trapped in.

A mind flayer, servants of the Elder Brains. Some of the cruelest creatures in the known universe, you already knew what was coming as the creature outstretched an arm, a squirming, disgusting bug in its hand, a tadpole. You were helpless to resist as it approached, and equally as helpless as the illithid tadpole was implanted, feeling each and every step as a new presence made itself known in your head.

Before you had long to examine the foreign feeling of the unwelcome guest in your head however, you soon found yourself blacking out, something you were almost thankful for. The feeling of the invading creature implanting itself into your mind wasn’t exactly a painless one, after all. Before long, the edges of your vision blurred, and you soon felt the release of unconsciousness overwhelming you…

Unfortunately, in what felt like just a few short moments, you were awake again, before you could blink you found yourself involuntarily thrown from the Mindflayer pod you had found yourself stuck in, falling to your knees on the cold floor of what was presumably a nautiloid ship. Looking around, vision still blurry as you recovered, you found yourself alone, at least in the room you were in, the way the ship shook however made it abundantly apparent that wasn’t the case for the entire ship. You needed to get out of here, fast.
