Chapter 7 by Miki727 Miki727

Does her shopping trip go as expected?

(Vampire)She bumps into an elderly pale man

As she kept her eyes glued carelessly on the list she was carrying, a sudden elderly looking man appeared. Before she knew it, Sally collided with the old man who's cane drops right beneath Sally's working boots.

"Ah- sorry! I'm so sorry! I really am-"

Sally looked flustered at the sight of a elderly man struggling to pick himself off the ground. He wore several drapes of dark clothing and a rather large victorian hat which was rather strange for someone to be wearing in this day and age. Especially in the middle of summer, nobody would be brave enough to add that many layers of clothes and especially in black. They even wore some dark shades to compliment the whole set up he was aiming for.

"H-H-Here! Let me help you with—"

SNAP!

"a-ah.."

Sally checks beneath her leather boot only to find that she's accidentally stepped on this poor man's cane. The handle itself was comprised of a beautiful alloy that took the shape of a dragon, red gems lined up perfectly for the eyes. The long frame of the stick was a smooth well polished wood that unfortunately met a cruel end at the hands- or should I say feet of a certain ditz. Sally looked in horror as held the two pieces up in her hands before apologizing again.

"I'm really, really, REAAAAAALLY sorry! I wasn't looking and I had to g-go to the stalls and i-"

"oh don't worry about it my dear, accidents happen. You needn't be so frightened."

The elderly man offers Sally a gentle smile.

"B-But.. I broke your cane sir! Look!"

Sally showing him the pieces but the old man simply chuckles, he looked to be around in his 60s maybe 70s? Without the support of his cane he'd have to keep a hand wedged behind his back while hunched over standing. Luckily Sally was quickly to help him back on his feet, she offered her arm which the old man gladly took a hold of.

"That relic was as old as me, I'd say I'm impressed it held out for so long. Same could be said about myself."

His attempt to lighten the mood worked as Sally looked a little more relaxed.

"I'm glad.. ah- I'm Sally! D-Do you.. um.. need anything, I dont have alot of money but I can.. well I can try and make you a new stick! See my dad's the best smith round' these parts! I'm sure—"

"Theres no need for that, plenty of canes back in my old crypt. But let's see.. if you truly insist, then why not help this walking fossil back to his home. Its not far you see, as for an introduction." The man looks up, his eyes shining like rubies through the tinted glasses as he answered with a friendly smile, he had a suspicious noseleaf nostril but Sally shrugs and thought it was some condition old men could have at such an age.

"I am Christopher Von Nosfurtã but you may address me as Nosferatu."

His gloved hands reach across to wrap a hold on the plump girls waist as she offers her shoulder. The elderly man can sometimes be seen taking whiffs whenever she wasn't noticing, sticking his face closer then what you'd call comfort.

"It's nice to meet you sir! Your name makes you sound expensive, or at least that's what my papa would've said!"

With that Sally slowly helps the old man back, it doesn't take long before they reach an old darkened house in a quiet street. The place looks like it was constructed before the great holy ways which was around 500 years ago. There were a few steps they'd have to take before eventually reaching the door, the elderly man clings tightly during these moments. Occasionally pressing his face against her soft warm skin and taking deep whiffs. Sally didn't think much of it given his age, he probably struggled with breathing for all she knew.

"We're here! Do you need anything else sir? Im pretty good at running errands if you can't leave your house or something!" Sally helps unlock the door, once creaking open she sees the place was quite dark from within. A few candles burned to help keep the halls and room lit, a strange scent of a burning incense can be smelt all the way from the entrance.

"Well since you're offering my sweet little lamb, what do you say if you step inside and share a warm cup of tea with this old timer? You see, it's been such a long time since I had someone to speak to, my wife passed away and my children have all grown up and.. flown away."

Sally upon hearing this felt her heartstrings being pulled, she wanted to take his offer but then the list her father has entrusted her with—

Does she take his offer or return to her previous task?
