White Queen Date (K)Night Conclusion
"Well now... you had quite the interesting interlude."
Walt blinked and saw Emma Frost sitting on the couch with a glass and a bottle of wine. He wasn't sure where she'd managed to find the sheer white lace robe she wore. It wasn't one of Tony's things like the garish, silk robe he was wearing... probably. But he was quite certain that she knew exactly how good she looked in it... damn good. Which was unfortunate as he was also quite certain that he looked ridiculous. Oh well. One couldn't have everything.
"Evening, Emma," he said. "What are you doing up?"
She smirked. "You mean other than sitting in the gloom alone?"
He shook his head as he joined her. "You're not alone."
She smiled but shook her head. "You don't have to."
He nodded and grabbed the bottle and refilled her glass for her. "I want to. Besides you shouldn't drink alone. I know a little something about that."
She nodded. "Well then... would you care to join me?"
"Don't mind if I do!" He grinned and not seeing another glass he took a long pull from the bottle, wiggling his eyebrows.
She actually giggled. "You really are something else! You could just go get a glass."
Walt shrugged, grinning. "I could," he agreed taking another pull. "Ahh... but then I'd be letting my redneck, country ass roots down. Besides I think I done did 'nuff proper behaving for the night. I ain't yet begun to misbehave!"
He winked and she rolled her eyes at his antics but she kept smiling. "Act however you like, it won't change the truth of who you are," she said. "Infact one could say it merely shows other facets. Like now for instance. You can play dumb and act the fool but you aren't."
Walt shrugged but stuck his pinky finger up making her laugh again as he took another swig before setting the bottle down with a shrug. "A Fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool."
She smiled at him over her glass. "William Shakespeare's As You Like It. Quite."
He nodded. "As You Like It... the ladies just reminded to be myself so..." he winked at her. "So this is me Emma. Drinking a..." he didn't bother looking at the label but instead sniffed the bottle. "A '48?"
" Close. A '47," she said holding out her glass for him with a small smile.
He sniffed over her glass and nodded before refilling it for her. "Drinking a '47 straight from the bottle. Reciting Shakespeare to you in the moonlight that says "I'm simply a fool and I know it" instead of something witty or clever or romantic. Displaying a certain disdain for social graces despite a functioning knowledge of them. That's who I am. Ain't going to give a damn about putting on a show. You deserve better." He winked.
She raised an eyebrow. "Yet despite saying that you're still flirting?"
He smiled. "Because I like you, Emma. I enjoy talking and spending time with you... and I hope you feel the same."
"I do," she admitted with a smile. "It's refreshing. Not just because I can't read you but because you voluntarily share your thoughts with me without artifice and accept the same from me and the others. I... don't get a lot of that."
Walt shook his head. "That's a shame." He set the bottle down and rose offering her his hand.
She hesitated for only a moment to set her glass down before taking it, rising. She wasn't sure what he wanted but she was intrigued. He smiled as she played along with him and he took her in his arms and started to rock back and forth.
She laughed. "Really? Dancing again?"
He nodded raising an eyebrow. "No good?"
She shook her head as they started slow dancing in the dark, following his lead. "I didn't say that," she said slowly getting closer and laying her head against him. She inhaled. He'd recently showered so he smelled slightly of soap. "There's no music," she said softly.
He smiled and asked, "Isn't there?"
She heard and felt his heart beating in his chest as his arms gently tightened around her and he started humming. Accepting her. "I suppose there is after all." She smiled too, listening before humming along as well. They could have played something... but somehow it was better this way. They had all the music they needed.
"Have you enjoyed your little sojourn?" He quietly asked after awhile.
"I have," she whispered. "I've enjoyed it quite a lot actually. Despite everything that happened I feel... relaxed... Good."
She started humming the next tune and Walt was surprised as he recognized it and joined in with humming Hold Me Now with her. "That's good. Me too."
She smiled. "Funny... you don't feel that relaxed."
Walt glanced down. He was hard... again. And it was only getting worse staring into Emma's cleavage. *Definitely leveling up... and correction. Very, nice cleavage. Probably intentional considering her sense of fashion... and you're probably about to start drooling if you don't look away, dumbass!* He summoned up his iron will and forced himself to look up. "Sorry... I swear it has a mind of it's own."
She kept smiling. "Don't be sorry. I shall consider it an honest compliment. Especially so considering the night you've had... Why are you looking up like that?"
Walt shook his head. *Too far moron! I know it's safer but look a bit lower, into her eyes and play it cool, idiot!* "High ceilings in here," he said shrugging trying to brush it off.
She smiled. "Walter... if I were to let you do anything that you wanted to tonight what would you want to do?"
He smiled at the hypothetical and didn't miss a beat. "I'm doing it right now, Emma."
She could feel his erection still so she knew he would like to do that... but she smiled looking onto his eyes. "I believe you. Just dancing?"
He shook his head and held her just a little tighter. "No. Getting to know each other."
She nodded and lay her head against his chest again. "Yes... I like this. This evening is drawing to a close, isn't it?"
He nodded. "Any final requests before I take you home?"
She tightened her hold on him as well. "Yes... just this... for a little while longer, please?"
He nodded and kissed the top of her head. "As you wish... Thank you for a wonderful evening, Emma."
She smiled. "You're very welcome but I do believe that's my line."
"Is that so?" He asked with a smile.
She nodded. "Yes."
He shrugged. "As you like it," he said.
She nodded. "I do... I like it very much. Thank you."
He nodded too. "You're very welcome. Do this again soon?"
She smiled up at him and gave him a slow, lingering kiss. One she was very happy he returned. "You read my mind!"
