What will she do?
Use an illusion [Majority vote]
Yessil took a dep breath and focused herself. She extended a hand and let the arcane magic around flow through her and surround her fingers. Her eyes let out a faint glow as she saw the arcane runes fall onto place and create the image she desired.
At the back of the cave a large roar was heard. The orcs, stunned by the sudden noise turned around and were distracted by the large image of a golden dragon lurking from the depths of a tunnel, slowly stepping towards them. The shinning scales around its body glistened through the dim light in the cave and it seemed to barely fit inside the rocky room.
Yessil saw the orcs be stunned and smiled in her hiding spot. She prepared for the monsters to start running away and made sure to keep herself as close to the wall as possible. However, the orcs immediately jumped for their weapons and ran towards the illusion.
The monsters’ eagerness for combat surprised Yessil who immediately had to move the dragon further back onto the tunnel. She kept her focus and made the illusion travel back as it was followed by the green-skinned men. Before long she couldn’t see the illusion anymore and the magical connection broke, leaving the monsters perplexed as they found themselves inside of the tunnel.
The half-elf ran forward and extended her hands. As heat rose all around her she shot her fingers forward and a line of fire formed on the ground between the large room and the tunnel the orcs had gone through. Lifting her arms she made the fire rise and create a wall separating her form the orcs.
With the menacing monsters in check she immediately walked toward to dwarven woman and looked her over. The shorter girl seemed to be a complete mess after what she had gone through. Her pussy looked red and puffed up, her asshole was a gaping mess, her skin showed clear signs of bruises all over and her eyes were unfocused. Yessil did her best to help the girl up but decided to try to help the others.
As she got next to the elf she was glad to see her kin seemed more resilient. She offered a hand helping the kneeling girl up. Her body was also bruised, but she appeared to be in a much better condition.
“I’m here with the adventurer’s guild. I’m going to get you out of here.”
The elf wrapped her arms around her. “Thank you, thank you, thank you” The hug was so tight it pressed her naked body against her saviour, making Yessil blush lightly. “I was starting to lose hope.”
“N- No worries ma’am. I’m here now, although I will need help carrying her.” Yessil broke the hug and nodded her head towards the dwarf. “I don’t know how long the fire will hold or how resilient they are to the element. We need to move fast.”
The elven woman nodded and got down to help the dwarf while Yessil approached the woman. The last girl seemed to be slightly out of it, but she seemed to respond to the adventurer’s presence. She accepted her hand and stood up, but she refused to speak, seeming unaware of what was going on anymore.
Yessil managed to secure the women and get them towards the exit of the cave. The last time she turned around the fire wall seemed to still be holding strong making her feel secure about their chances of escape. As they walked, she helped the other elf carry the poor dwarven woman, holding her steady with one arm from each of the slender elves.
As they travelled through the forest path Yessil smiled, feeling accomplished and like her work was finally paying off. The whole ordeal was terrifying, but she had managed to help people. She couldn’t help but feel proud of herself for handling the situation with such elegance despite the slight change in plans at the last minute.
She was content to walk in silence, but suddenly the human’s voice broke the silence.
“What will you do now?” Her face was looking down through her messed up brown hair.
“What do you mean?” Yessil tilted her head, confused at the sudden question.
“What will you do about the orcs?” The human looked up, fear flowing through her gaze as tears slowly began forming around her eyes. “We managed to escape but they’ll be back. I can’t… I can’t go through this again.”
“I… don’t know.” Yessil stopped for a second. The quest had been to kill the orcs, not save the women. She looked back at the direction of the orc camp with dread raising through her. Eventually her head shook violently, this was not the time to start doubting herself, at least not in front of them. “For now, we need to take you home. Once at the village I will start with a plan to take them out for good.”
The human nodded slowly, not entirely convinced but wishing to go back to her family as well. The remainder of the walk was completely silent. Yessil managed to open her bag and handed them her blanket and an extra shirt. It didn’t do much, but it helped retain some modesty.
As they entered the village Yessil noticed a young man run towards a house screaming in joy. It didn’t take long before everyone came out and surrounded the returning people. Tears filled with joyous faces. Families reunited and the tightness of the encounter **** Yessil to take a few steps back, trying to escape the commotion.
As she took a breather, she noticed a familiar face approach her with heavy tears on his old eyes. As the dwarf got closer her held one of her hands with both of his.
“Thank ye lass. You have no idea, how much this means to us.”
“But I’m not done yet. The orcs are still out there.” Yessil looked to the side, with a heavy heart and guilty conscience.
“You’ve already done a great deal fer us. I’m sure you’ll take care of those bloody brutes without much issue.” The old dwarf’s smile was o wide it showed through his heavy beard. “Here, as a token of gratitude.”
Yessil felt him press something against her palm and looked down at it. The small pendant seemed to be inscribed with a strange rune on top. Her eyes widened as she recognized it as a magical artifact. She could read a rune for water, but aside from that the effects of the item were a mystery to her.
“I’ll see what I can do about the orcs.”
The dwarf nodded before walking over to the multitude. He seemed to approach the kneeling dwarven woman and for the first time since she had left the cave she seemed to be able to understand her surroundings.
Yessil closed her eyes and walked away. She had to think fast I she wanted to help the village. Orcs were vengeful creatures from what she knew, they would most likely try to retaliate sooner rather than later.
As she thought it through there were little options for her here. She could try to rally the people to fight by her side, although that wouldn’t probably do much considering how they had refused to fight before. She could attempt to plant some magical traps around the village perimeter despite how much it would drain her. She shuddered as she thought about the last idea that crossed her head but, if she got taken to their cave the entire band would eventually be around her once again and give her a chance to catch them all with a spell. Without anyone else she could potentially blaze them as she did the goblins.
She paced around, thinking on how she should tackle this.
Will she:
Rally the people? Give a passionate speech to get the villagers to fight back.
Set up magic traps? Use all her magic to make sure the place is protected.
Try to use herself as bait? Be taken and launch a surprise attack.
Or
Run away? Get the people out, these monsters are too much for you.
What will she do?
