Chapter 100

Those Crazy Kids. Wonder what else is going on?
Suspicions
How the hell did she know?
More importantly to Kevin Scott: What the fuck did she even know?
This was a reminder that, once again, Samantha Harris was indeed as Harris at the end of the day. The redhead would be much easier to deal with if she had any other family or last name. So much easier to have in his arms, her magnificent body against his own, the one Eastlake cheerleader he dreamed of fucking more than any other. Of course, she was Simon’s sister, so she couldn’t be average in perception. What the fuck was with Simon’s family that made them this way?
At least Sam had the decency to not break any bones when she trapped him in one of the empty teacher’s offices and locked the door. The nerd held his arm and cracked his neck. He was pretty sure his shoulder had knots in it now.
“Okay, talk.”
“Jesus, Sam. Where’d you….”
“I’ve taken self-defense classes since I was eleven, Kevin. Just because you had a growth spurt and worked out doesn’t mean I’d let my guard down.”
Fuck.
He was so arrogant the first time with the amulet last week. Kevin had been so focused on trying to get her to notice his new body that the nerd forgot she could also kick his ass. He managed to avoid a few hits, but he’d seen her do it enough.
She’d done so to Simon repeatedly. Using her thickheaded brother as a training bag.
The way the Red Queen was now, she looked ready to do far more to him. Her eyes glared and burned with intensity, her arms crossed, as she corned him behind the desk,
“Now, don’t make me repeat myself, weasel. Spill it. What’s really going on? Tell me.”
Like he was able to tell her.
He was bound to secrecy and couldn’t tell Sam even if he wanted to. As he remembered that night overhearing the blonde with her mother, not even the genie could tell her what she truly was.
The only one that could was her brother. Kevin’s eyes narrowed back as he couldn’t face the former cheerleader in the eye. He wasn’t in a position to tell her the truth.
Unless she already knew.
“That depends on how much you already know.”
The red-haired vixen growled as she crossed her arms in her hoodie and kicked a powerful leg up on the wall to box him in. Those aquamarine eyes boiled to the point where he believed they would begin steaming.
God. Why did she have to be so fiery? So unique?
His face felt warm as he quivered inside. Kevin Scott had dominated and laid claim to multiple women with the power Sam’s brother had given him, but even with his new size and muscles, she reduced him to a wimpy puddle.
Of all the girls he knew, even among her popular clique and the **** girl herself, none of them could do what Sam did to him internally. His usual behavior and attempts to be manipulative only made her less patient,
“Don’t play dumb, asshole. Why are half my former teammates fawning all over you? Last week was one thing, but you’ve never sat with everyone else, let alone popular girls. Cooper hasn’t been the only one distracted by you today. Stop giving me the bullshit.”
Her finger pressed into his chest as she leaned in, making him wince,
“You and I both know it’s been a week since my brother beat my best friend’s prick of an ex-boyfriend in a fight. Simon may have taken down Brad and disrupted everything, but you’re the one walking around like you fucking own the place!”
‘I do own the place, Sam,’ Kevin thought to himself on the inside as he tried to scramble for an answer on the outside.
He held up his arms and looked back in disbelief,
“What, really? C’mon! I’m not allowed to actually enjoy school now that the asshole who used to kick the crap out of me and torment Simon is out of our fucking lives?”
She frowned,
“That’s not what I meant.”
Not what she meant? Kevin felt himself grow insulted by the remark. Her eyes seemed almost sympathetic toward him. He wasn’t the only one thrown into this new, chaotic world.
“Then what the fuck did you mean, Sam? Because last I checked, I’m not the one who shitted on the natural order around here, but we both know the ones who did!”
Couldn’t she see that she was just like him? Weren’t both of them most impacted by Simon’s actions with his ****? The redhead could have anything - fucking anything she wanted. The fact he couldn’t tell her the truth only increased Kevin’s frustration with her. He knew Sam wasn’t stupid, but seeing her oblivious to the truth made it more frustrating.
‘Goddamnit, Sam. You’re smarter than this! Open your fucking eyes!’
Her leg lowered from the wall, and she backed off. The Captain of the Volleyball team placed her hands in the hoodie as she sat on the edge of the desk,
“I think it’s time you told me what you talked about with Jessica and my Brother on Friday.”
Talk? Oh yeah, sure, Sam, Kevin scoffed in disbelief.
How was he supposed to talk about all the shit that had gone down at Myers Manor that morning? If that genie’s magic was as powerful as it was, then it’d make it easier to answer, wouldn’t it?
“Why don’t you ask them?”
“Because they aren’t here and didn’t mention it to me in class. Now spill.”
Kevin growled again,
“Sam, I already told you. Simon wants me to get along with his ‘girlfriend.’”
The nerd rolled his eyes and looked away bitterly, fighting to suppress the memory of what happened, and growled,
“Like I’d ever be friends with that bitch. After everything she did to me.”
Of course, having Jessica’s best friend in the room with him didn’t make it any easier,
“The fuck you just say?”
Sam growled as she backed the perverted outcast into the corner again just by her fiery anger and glare alone. Goddamnit, why did she have to be so gorgeous when she was angry! Kevin held up hands and bowed his head,
“Wait, wait! Fuck!”
Sam had already grabbed the collar of his shirt, and he managed to look up at her face as she saw his dark eyes plead for her to let him finish. His best friend’s hot sibling slumped her shoulders and scoffed. The former cheerleader shook her head and returned to the desk, her arms crossed in discomfort.
“Whatever….”
She sounded so apathetic as she said it. Sam crossed her legs and rubbed her forehead, then the bridge of her nose in growing frustration and annoyance,
“Okay…Soooo, what? My brother tried to have you and Jess hash things out? That’s not very specific. I know you two can’t go 30 seconds without a spat. What happened? Tell me the whole thing.”
Kevin’s eyes widened as he held out his arms, trying to figure out how to describe it,
“What do you think happened? I wanted her to apologize and make it up to me for all these years of **** and torment! Jessica Edwards has smacked me down, knocked me to the floor, kicked me while I was down, humiliated me, manipulated everyone into disdaining me, and made my life a living hell for almost a decade! The least she could do is admit she didn’t have to be such a Queen B!”
The resemblance to her brother in that moment when she frowned was too hard to ignore,
“You’ve also leered and crept on our friends for high school, Kevin - including Jessica. She told me the shit you’ve tried to pull to get back at her. Simon’s experience is one thing, but you don’t think I know or remember all the things that’ve gone on between you, too? You’re hardly an innocent person, and you know it.”
Leave it to a Harris to poke holes. One painful reminder was traded with another. He couldn’t just let it slide. Not with what he knew now,
“You mean like telling you her brother was stalking you when he really wasn’t? Or how she tormented her own childhood friend?”
Kevin took a step forward as he hissed in anger and pointed at himself,
“Did your ‘friend’ tell you she remembered or realized the reason she’s such a bitch to me started because she got jealous of your brother hanging out with me in fucking elementary school? Because he needed a friend after she stopped being around him, which upset her? So that’s how she started treating me like garbage with everyone else? That was a fun learning moment for me, Sam!”
He watched her eyes widen in surprise as she kept a straight face. He nodded and began to feel his anger fuel him,
“She was jealous I was friends with Simon, so I get treated like crap. Then she’s so **** to have everything go her way as the Royal Brat that it finally backfires on her! You have to admit that as her best friend, even for her, she went too far this year, Sam! How much longer was that going to last before even you turned against her? You quit cheerleading because you couldn’t stand how they were behaving. Face it! Edwards deserved to eat a slice of humble pie for her birthday! Half the school knows it!”
Sam’s eyes narrowed as she glared at him in anger,
“You could use a little of that yourself, Kevin.”
The nerd stopped himself as he felt the adrenaline rush come to a screeching halt. He growled and stepped back against the wall before he could give Sam a reason to pull something. She didn’t have any of the usual flair for the dramatic - as much cold water as she was fiery.
“Doesn’t matter, I guess. I got what I wanted on Friday. Your Queen asked for forgiveness and used Simon as her shield while revealing her true colors. So I understand why you’re so protective of her. Really, I do. I wish more of your friends were like you because it explains a lot. They all should hold you in higher regard than her.”
Kevin huffed and kicked his foot with a sigh and an apathetic shrug as he thought about the genie dressed as a maid in the kitchen, sitting in his best friend’s lap like a good pet,
“She gave Simon more attention the whole time, like a happy little pet. The real Jessica Edwards outside of Eastlake dropped the whole rich bitch heiress act quick because of him. For a supposed Queen and Captain, she’s an incredibly submissive type.”
Sam scoffed in disbelief. He watched her aquamarine eyes look at him like the nerd had been joking. Completely unserious,
“Jessie? Submissive? I’m more….”
The redhead stopped herself as Kevin raised an eyebrow. The disbelief made him suddenly smirk,
“Oh. I get it. You just think she’s doing it to wrap Simon around her finger and not the other way around? That makes sense.”
Sam raised her own brow in disbelief as the outcast chuckled. She spat out in resentment,
“What? Don’t be ridiculous! You’ve seen them for yourself now, haven’t you? She’s always dragging my brother around doing what she wants! That’s the way they’ve always been before your ass showed up in the picture. Simon used to get bossed around by her all the time. Him being in charge instead of Queen Jessica? Pfft…No.”
She was in denial. It was harder for her to keep a straight face, and Kevin could see it,
“What scares you more, Sam? That you want to believe it’s the same old story and they’ll mess up, or that you don’t want to admit they’re more serious than you realize?”
Kevin frowned,
“Because if it was one thing that they both made evidently clear to me, it’s that they’re really fucking serious about their relationship. Dead fucking serious.”
He finally got his headboard replaced after that one, and he emphasized the fucking part as well. The sight of the genie maid raw fucked with her legs split in the air as her Master speared her. Jessica Edwards was a living, obedient sex **** by the very nature of her birth. The fact that Sam hadn’t put together that her best friend was her brother’s fuck toy, let alone the realization they were even banging one another, but the red-haired beauty’s face made it clear from the scowl that she had her suspicions.
“So, why shouldn’t I be getting more attention because of them getting together, Sam? My best friend is dating the most popular girl in school, and she can’t put me down anymore! Her last boyfriend ditched town, and I wound up rich because his entire family fucked up! His Mom was so full of herself! You ever meet her?”
Savoring the fall of the Myers family, he continued to state the obvious to her with a sense of smug satisfaction,
“Now that I’m the one with everything, the opposite sex is finally taking notice of me. Isn’t that what happens when someone has something to make them popular for once? Maybe I deserve it after all the shit your friends put me through! It doesn’t have to be a bad thing! You ever think about that?”
Instead of sitting back and absorbing it, Sam growled and pushed him against the wall of the office with a finger,
“There are a lot of people I can think of who deserved to benefit more from the hell ‘my friends’ put them through than you, Kevin. A lot of shit you’ve done is self-inflicted. If you weren’t so bothered by it, you could have improved yourself sooner!”
Kevin found himself with his eyes widened and focused on her well-attended nails. Her fiery determination remained on her face as she huffed,
“If Jessica did say she was sorry to you, though? Then fine. I’m actually proud of her for doing that. That shows my friend’s got a heart and cares enough to put her feud with you aside! What did you do after that, though? Did you apologize back for the shit you did to her? Since you seem to know so much now, it should be obvious Jessie isn’t just some cruel, spoiled, rich bitch that you think needs to be knocked down a peg! My brother always got that through his thick head. Why can’t you?”
Her face scrunched as their eyes locked. Kevin’s heart stopped as he looked at her.
She was so close. Her lips, her tits, Samantha Harris, the red beauty of his wet dreams before he acquired power. He could do something so fucking stupid.
Instead, her eyes rolled off to the side, and scoffed,
“Fuck this. You’re hopeless.”
God, she was such a brutal tease. He could feel his cock throb beneath his pants. Sam straightened her ponytail out and grabbed her bag,
“I wish you didn’t have to act like such a prick or petty victim all the time, Kevin….”
What?
Fuck! No! Don’t leave yet!
Kevin scrambled as he tried to reveal more of what he could, but he hadn’t expected it to be that. He tried to say anything about that conversation but couldn’t reveal anything about genies, masters, or Simon’s plans. Eventually, something got out.
He had to say something.
The perverted outcast knew no matter what came out of his mouth, he had to reveal SOMETHING to stop her from leaving,
“Sam, wait! She’s in love with him!”
He just didn’t expect it to be that.
The sibling of his best friend froze as he grunted and moved from his spot on the wall. Sam didn’t move. Her ponytail swayed briefly, but he had accomplished the goal of stopping her. He said it and felt himself smiling at it.
How could he not?
Even while the former cheerleader remained frozen, all Kevin could remember was the image of the genie in her maid uniform before him, begging him to help her Master as she lashed out and opened herself up. The **** genie at the core of the bitch that had tortured him for years.
Sam’s voice finally pierced through. It was curt,
“What?”
Kevin laughed in an almost disbelieving way, which unintentionally added to his own authenticity,
“When she was apologizing during our spat, Edwards told me! I was confronting her on everything and asked why she would take my shit, and it nearly made me want to puke! But she…she just fucking said it! And then she declared she’d do anything to prove it. And…And…she did!”
Sam hadn’t moved as he raised up his arms, and the stress continued to cause his disbelieving laugh to grow,
“It’s so fucking stupid, but it made so much more sense! Jessica Edwards is in love with your brother! She’s in love with Simon!”
Her body began to shake as a hand gripped tightly to the door handle. Kevin couldn’t see her face as she lowered her head and hissed something under her breath.
“Sam….”
“She told you that. To you. You.”
The way she emphasized him, Kevin should’ve realized it then, but it didn’t click at first,
“Y-Yeah….”
Oh shit.
Now he got it.
Sam was about to go on the warpath.
Immediately, the dark-haired nerd had flashbacks to Tiffany from last week and how easy it was to get her to flip out. How everything snowballed, and the raven-haired cheerleader unleashed a wrathful Simon. How he gave control of the amulet stuck around his neck to Jess. If a berserk Sam went after them because of him…because he told her?
Before the Volleyball Captain could slam the door open, Kevin Scott performed his first feat of athleticism and leaped over the desk and pressed the door closed,
“Sam! Wait!”
He was not going to let her leave that room. Under any circumstances could she get by him,
“Get out of the way.”
Fuck. Simon’s sister sounded terrifying when she was blunt!
“You can’t tell them I told you! I’m already in enough hot water!”
The clenching sound on the door handle was audible as she growled again,
“Out of the fucking way, Kevin!”
Fuck it. He wasn’t going to get into shit over this. His arm flung in front of Sam’s chest and tossed her back from the door to block her in,
“No!”
An elbow was pulled back as the redhead was ready to pounce and **** him,
“You ass….”
He was going to die, which meant he didn’t care anymore,
“Shut up and fucking listen to me, Goddamnit!”
Sam’s aquamarine eyes widened and snapped up at him as Kevin growled darkly again. His greater demon and shadow bickered in his mind as he swallowed and began to sweat, seeing he had her attention. His eyes looked up at the Red Queen’s face, taken aback by his sudden snap and his couple inches in height blocking the door.
He had to just let his mouth go,
“Of all the idiots and fools in this fucking dump of a school, Sam. I never believed you were one of them! I know you aren’t. You’re the opposite. So, lash it out on me if you have to! Go on, say it! I’m used to it, so do it!”
He managed to press his back against the door as he spread his arms and legs out to block her in and continued out of breath,
“I’m a fucking prick. A bastard. A perverted, irrational psycho! Go on and just say it to my face, Sam. I’ve heard it all a million times. They’re right - I am. I’m a freak. I fucking embrace that because I can now because that’s what everyone else has fucking made me into. If that’s what I must be, I’ll embrace it even more! They won’t know the monster they made me until it’s too late. Because I’m fucking crazy.”
His body was beginning to sweat like a spigot. He had to rub the sweat from his forehead and pull the glasses from his face to look at the red-haired bombshell as he panted,
“But even I’m not fucking crazy enough to think I can get in the way of Simon’s relationship with Edwards after the bullshit they survived the last couple of weeks. They’re both driven enough to say it to my face. So, why would the only person I know – the one who knows those two better than me- think she could do that when I can’t?”
He was going to get beaten to a pulp again. It would be with hands used to smacking balls to the floor with anger and ****. Those spandex shorts she wore that clung to her legs, the volleyball uniform was different than the slut uniform of a cheerleader, but Sam’s body would look magnificent in anything - or nothing. Kevin believed that as he saw her fists clench and her teeth gnash. Instead of a knee in his groin, the red-haired teenager slumped back on the desk with her head down and roared,
“FUCK!”
Her palm rubbed over her eye, and she held back a scream. Kevin panicked and shifted to look out the door to ensure no one was coming. The last thing he needed was for someone to hear a girl screaming in the room alone with him.
“I wish she just fucking told me…she could’ve just told me….”
Sam was tough on the outside, fiery on the inside, and she never openly showed weakness. Ever. At least from when Kevin had been around her at any point. Now, she was trying to hold back the tears in her eyes and comprehend a dramatic family and friend affair. She scoffed, clearly pained by it,
“S-Simon told me he cared a lot about her, and she looked happier, but she never told me she actually….”
Kevin sighed. His insides twisted in an unfamiliar way. Guilt? Sadness? Probably both, but he was the one that broke the news to her. An imperfect messenger.
His gut twisted as she masked her sniffle,
“Like, I get it. No one wants to tell their best friend they’re in a relationship with their sibling, but Jessie and Simon…they just….”
She didn’t finish that sentence as he tried to process what was happening.
The silence that grew was so awkward he began to feel like the dork they were talking about. At least Simon could hug his sister, but Kevin knew it would end with him on the floor if he tried that. He sighed as his temples pounded from the stress,
“Fuck, Sam. I’m sorry, I figured you already knew something was….”
“Shut up, Kevin. Okay? Just…just shut up.”
He went silent as he watched her.
The former cheerleader managed to hold her emotions back as she let out a laugh. Her face finally looked up, and Kevin saw the expression, the sad and pained smile of learning something being kept from her,
“It was obvious. I don’t know why I’ve been doing this to myself. I knew there was more going on with them. They think they’re so good at hiding things from me, but they really suck at it. It’s like I’m chasing them around all over again….”
She pressed a hand into her heart and sighed,
“I mean, don’t I deserve to know, too? When are people going to start being honest with me again?”
The irony of that statement was brutal to be lost on Kevin. Sam knew there was more amiss, but she didn’t know all of it. She couldn’t tell if it was just slightly off versus the way things were. Kevin couldn’t tell her the truth even if she beat it out of him. What would be the harm of letting her know? He knew why she couldn’t, but that wasn’t his decision.
Still, he could try and make inroads to making her feel better, couldn’t he?
God, this was going to be annoying. Damnit, Simon.
He rubbed his forehead and sighed,
“Look, Sam? About what’s been happening to me. Let’s just say, since that nonsense on Edwards’ birthday, I…really made an impression on a certain exchange student on the cheer team, and with certain funds, I sort of…sponsored a certain party of hers and Brad’s hotter, more likable…cousin…last Friday….”
Simon’s sister tilted her head in a double take, much as her twin would as she spoke in disbelief, but he had her attention,
“You. Kevin ‘The Dweeb’ Scott - who sucks at FPS and can’t even score a Chicken in PUBG, scored at a cheerleader party?”
Okay. He laughed at that. That was funny,
“Don’t sound like you aren’t impressed, Sam. You know I can be way more fun than you let on.”
The redhead scoffed and shook her head but managed a smirk,
“Yeah, I call bullshit, Kevin. There’s more to it than that….”
She rolled her eyes briefly,
“I can neither confirm nor deny you have it in you to be entertaining. Sorry.”
Feeling slightly better, the Red Queen of Eastlake got back on her feet and motioned to have his taller form move,
“You can get out of the way of the door now, or I’ll maul you.”
He didn’t smirk, but being unfiltered meant he responded in a still-humored tone,
“I’d let you maul me, Sam.”
Her eyes rolled, and she snorted,
“No! Now, seriously, get out of the way.”
She was different from them. Better. He could’ve made them all redheads like her. Talia, Dee Dee, Blue Eyes, Zara, Olivia, and the rest. He could’ve made them all like her.
But they would never be her. Not Samantha Harris.
“I’d let you do whatever you want to me, just you….”
Sam stopped and slapped her arm at her side. Kevin’s focus suddenly shifted as he felt when she glared. This time, the tension and hostility grew more apparent, and the discomfort inflicted had ended whatever sort of amusement they had toward each other,
“Kevin. Enough. You’re sounding like someone I know who got expelled recently. It’s fucking gross. Don’t say creepy things like that to me.”
Immediately, the desire was quashed briefly enough as he let his guard down so Sam could brush by and get out behind him. In a panic, he spun around and called back,
“Sam, wait! I didn’t. I’m sorry it came out that way! That wasn’t…it’s not…I…I just feel like that you’re so….”
She fixed her bag and turned back to him in the office, her gaze rendering him mute,
“Look, dingus, I won’t tell Jessie or Simon what you told me. There isn’t a point for me to rat you out. So I don’t want to watch you grovel and beg me not to. You don’t get it. As far as you’re concerned, this conversation between us never happened, Kev.”
He felt some of the stress be relieved, but not all of it.
“Th-Thanks, Sam…sorry about what I said, but really I….”
“Don’t let it happen again.”
Kevin shut the door to the office and slumped against the door as he unzipped his pants and began to stroke his shaft as it throbbed. He reached behind himself for his cell phone and opened his contacts to call a number that went straight to voicemail.
“Hey, it’s me….”
He then ranted about what he needed to do and hung up. All it took was one interrogation, and Sam turned him back into the same meek, weak, little sniveling boy that he had once been. The fear of making her upset or sad. Kevin stewed back into his darker thoughts with the emptiness and vacuum left from losing her presence.
He needed release.
The empowered outcast opened a text group on one of his encrypted apps and moved to the chair behind the desk while turning on the lights. Kevin then texted a photo of his cock with the following,
‘First one to the empty office in B-Wing by the locker room gets a snack.’
Zara, Amber, and Myers were at a three-way finish when the bell rang. For Sam’s comments as a reminder of Brad Myers’s haunting words, Kevin punished his Blue-Eyed Jessica appropriately by having her watch while he lashed out at how it had triggered his crush. How would she pay for her former life’s sins for leaving the Red Queen shaken?
The fire that was Samanthan Harris, as always with the scars she lashed on him, burned deep.
She knew it.
She fucking knew it.
Sam felt her head throbbing, but she knew those two were up to more than they said they were doing! Since they reunited, Simon and Jessica had been far more reckless with one another! To make matters worse, that fucking dweeb even knew more than she did! At first, she didn’t want to believe it. Kevin was always lied to try and weasel his way out of a corner, but then he did something to stop her from leaving.
He was a manipulative tiny shrew, much in the same way Tiffany could be, but unlike her feuding friend, the wimp never had natural claws. It was also easy to tell when someone perved after her; she could squeeze and crush many of those. The disgusting roach he was at times, Kevin made no secret of his desire to be squished by her. If it weren’t for the Quarterback’s declaration to her brother that he’d take advantage of her, Sam would’ve been willing to shrug it off as an adorable but hapless attempt by her brother’s friend. However, Kevin was guarded and **** at the exact moment when in the office. The pervert was weird because he lacked social connections, but he knew way more than he let on. As always, his unsettling paranoia was nothing to laugh off.
Sam also realized if he hadn’t stopped her like he had, she’d have done something too rash. When Kevin blared that Jessica told him he was in love with Simon, something inside the redhead snapped. It turned out he did her a favor by saving his own skin. She was so emotional that she wanted to storm out of the building and hunt her best friend down. Jessica had sometimes gone too far, but that took the proverbial cake in Sam’s mind. Her brother and best friend were too stupid to be careful. What if he got her pregnant? They would tell her first, wouldn’t they?
It gave her a moment to breathe and for her mind to settle; images flashed of the weekend and the moments leading up to it. Her heart twisted. Jessica was happy, and her brother was happy and became more open with her as a result. Sam felt her heart twist in her chest as she reminded herself of that fact. Jessica was hanging out with her again, and Simon wasn’t being a shackle and functioning. She was okay with them going out after her brother asked. It had been so long since she’d seen them look so comfortable as they did this past week.
Which made the revelation all the more hurtful.
Why would Jessica tell Kevin instead of her? She could be honest. Yes, Sam realized and feared they would both get hurt, and it happened faster than the Red Queen cared to admit, but if they were happy, so what? When she got to be around them, it was annoyingly infectious.
Then, there was Simon attempting to mix what had always seemed like oil and water. If Kevin was telling the truth and all this feud started from a fit of childhood jealousy, what stopped those three from being in the same room together back then and sparing all the drama of the past decade?
Also, what would have mattered if they had done it? They were only kids. Kevin needed to stop living in the fucking past. He used his victim complex to justify everything he’d ever done, and Jessica had done the same against those who slighted her since becoming popular. If they managed to just…Holy Fuck.
Sam froze as her eyes widened in realization.
Simon knew that.
He probably knew that better than fucking anyone, and that probably made him think he was the only one who could bridge them both. He probably had the fucking family mantra about making an effort from their father spun inside his head again. Why wouldn’t he?
Sam smirked. Their father was thoughtful and one of the most focus-driven men that either she or her brother knew. He earned his discipline from being a veteran, met their mother when her family fled persecution and met in their home before moving to this town. Simon’s brain could sometimes be rigid, and that effort spiel stuck. This is why he probably **** his two childhood friends, who had become enemies, to get to the root of their issues. Was he a fucking masochist for dealing with them or a sadist for putting them both through it?
“You just think she’s doing it to wrap Simon around her finger and not the other way around.”
Kevin’s words bit her again. She initially dismissed it as a taunt and not a blunt observation. There was no possible way that Jessica Edwards, Queen of the School, Spoiled Brat, she who laid waste to all who slept with her without the mercy or honor of a Taylor Swift-style breakup song to remember them by, would not have her brother - her gullible, sweet, awkward, dork plank of a brother - on a fucking leash.
Until Sam remembered her friend continually slipping the ‘M’ word into their conversations.
Master.
Her heart stopped, and the blood drained immediately from her face as she slammed the door open and sat in the nearest bathroom stall. She blacked out from drinking that night, but it didn’t stop her from remembering that damned game of Simon says. Yet, Jessica uttered that damned word effortlessly when it slipped her tongue. What if that wasn’t the first time? What if they were just playing with her? Sam had dismissed it as her friend messing with her to tease and bother her as usual, except when it was an accident. Then, she was allowed to tease her back. Really, she hadn’t thought anything about it.
That was impossible. Her brother was too much of a pushover, and Jessica pushed everyone. The image of her brother being intentionally assertive and forceful conjured disturbing thoughts. Thoughts of a person and of dreams that shouldn’t make her feel the way it did. Because she had the idea of what a brother should be and how Simon was. The idea made her heart race because it was impossible, but she remembered that night her brother came to her room to tell her he would date Jess. Simon was so much more composed at a time when Jessica was so shaken. The blonde was eager and happy when he kissed her in front of Sam in the hallway.
Contrary to parts of her reputation and the reputation of her hair color, Samantha was not as sexually experimental as her friends. She had dated multiple guys and had sex, but nothing special as her friends had described during their nights, camps, or sleepovers. It honestly left the redhead bitter and put off. The reminder of herself confessing to kissing her best friend in front of her brother and doing it again made her feel warm. Goddamnit, her brother and best friend together made it so easy for her to get embarrassed.
Jess put Simon in charge of the game. Sam’s heart raced in its reaction. What exactly was the true extent of their relationship? Was it originally transactional because of this craziness that Jessica only spoke vaguely about regarding her mysterious mother? Was it because they really hit it off over their shared past? Or was there something more to it? What if Kevin was right? What if it was way more serious between them than she had known? She wasn’t going to get a straight answer out of him, that was for sure, though.
So many people seemed to go insane after last week; maybe it made her brother’s demented dweeb friend actually sane. She recomposed herself and left the bathroom to find one of her former teammates who had gone to this so-called party.
Unlike her volleyball teammates, her former squad began to fracture and needed to be reined in. She’d have extra time after the final bell, given it was a practice night. Sam would stay after on Mondays as had become a habit. It was the regional and sectional season with the end of the fall and winter semesters. This is why the abrupt end of the football team’s season was such a shock. At least the Basketball Teams had strong years. The benefit of being a Sports Heavy School with Boosters.
Unfortunately, the first cheerleader she ran into in the locker room was the one she least wanted to see.
“Like, Hi, Sam!”
Her aquamarine eyes glared at Nina as they were alone. With her aggressive nature, she ignored the fact that the Latina was already half naked, with her long anime-style pigtails, innocent white panties, long socks, and shoes while cornering her against her locker.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, Nina?”
The cheerleader’s face flushed as she shrunk down nervously,
“W-What do you mean?”
“Dating your ex-boyfriend’s sister? How could you do that to Chris? Has your brain finally blown a gasket with those hentai fantasies of yours? Are those rumors I keep hearing true? Did you fucking cuck him?”
The young woman whimpered and shook her head,
“N-No, T-Tamara-Sempai didn’t let me…Sempai wanted me to ask Chris-Kun’s permission first….”
Ask Permission? To fuck her ex-boyfriend’s sibing?
Suddenly, the young female Harris’ righteous attitude began to belittle her former teammate even more,
“God, you’re such a pathetic little perverted weeb! You couldn’t have found someone else for your dumb fetish?”
The girl flinched under the humiliation, her eyes tearing up as she looked at her former teammate,
“I-I needed to find my S-Sempai…T-Tamara is my Sempai….”
Sempai? Running around getting Sempai to notice her? Like a meme!?
“Damnit, Nina! You’re eighteen and acting like a cartoon character! Tell me what you did right now, or I’ll…I’ll….”
Sam growled as she glared at the cheerleader, but what would be bad enough to get Nina to spill her guts? She didn’t know what made her say it, but she went with it,
“Or I’ll tell my brother to tell Kevin Scott about the time Tiffany found your Hentai Hard Drive.”
The cheerleader dropped to her knees and wrapped herself around her former teammate’s legs in terror. Her brown breasts pressed into her kneecaps as she squeezed in horror,
“N-No! Sammy, please! Not that! Tiff hasn’t let me off the hook for it yet!”
The Red Queen glared angrily and pointed in her face as she growled,
“Then take your boobs off my knees and start talking!”
Nina immediately began to babble about how she had spent her time after the gas leak. After that, she and Jane were left without their leader, the raven-haired cheerleader and the head of the School Yearbook. Jane went one way without Tiffany to talk to, and Nina went to the bookstore to find more manga when she ran into Tamara. All it took was a weekend of talking about the latest shows and binging Crunchyroll to devolve Nina’s life into one of the many Hentai Doujins she kept hidden.
“And then I fucked both of them! I didn’t cuck anyone! I just went back and forth between Sempai’s and Chris’s rooms. Honest, Sammy!”
Sam’s face paled when the truth was far crazier than the rumors.
“W-Wait, you…you fucked both of them!?”
The cheerleader had tears in her eyes as she nodded,
“I-I didn’t want to hurt Chris; he was distraught, a-and Sempai said I needed to make him feel better for what happened if she was going to notice me. I was just being a loyal Kouhai.”
“S-So…what? You had a fucking threesome with two siblings? That’s disgusting!”
“N-No! I…I didn’t!”
Nina’s face looked panicked as she continued to bawl in shame,
“Sammy, please, I just let them take turns! I-I didn’t make them…I didn’t…both at….”
Sam growled as she looked at her former teammate devolve in front of her,
“Nina, for fuck’s sake. You’re aroused by the idea of it! I can see it in your eyes! You’d really want to be part of some twisted incestuous threesome?”
The cheerleader shrunk further as her legs collapsed, and she sniffled as the redhead let her go and paced in disgust,
“I swear! I feel it’s like you’ve all gone crazy, and no one cares! I wish I knew what was going on with everyone! Chris already had it hard enough. Why did you have to do that to….”
Suddenly, it was like she stepped on a landmine,
“Would you stop fucking acting like you know him so well!”
Sam snapped as she heard the loud hissing from the Latina weeaboo curled and humiliated on the ground. The twin-tailed cheerleader hissed and began to speak flustered, agitated, and as if at her limit,
“Tiffany was right! It’s always the same with you! I don’t know why I went along with trying to set you both up!”
Nina sniffled and rubbed the snot on her arm as she tried to stand back up. Sam shook her head as she tried to process this latest revelation,
“Wait, what do you mean that bitch was trying to….”
“It doesn’t matter. Tiff’s lost it and won’t even leave her house now! I-If you want to take control of anyone, why not Jessica and your own brother! I-If y-you think I’d do something that fucked up with my Ex and Sempai, how would I know you haven’t imagined that either? You’d probably be into that, too!”
With zero hesitation, the Red Queen of Eastlake swiftly turned and slapped her former teammate in the face,
“You’re fucked in the head, Nina.”
“Chris used to tell me how you complained about caring for your brother….”
Sam scoffed,
“You really think I’m going to fall for this….”
The cheerleader kept her face lowered as she rubbed the red mark on her right cheek,
“He told me and Sempai about the fight last week. How he watched Simon snap, got Brad to say those disgusting things, and crushed his hand. What Jessica texted in your group chats, and struggling, trying to reach out to you. He saw the look on your face after it happened, y’know!”
Sam crossed her arms and shook her head at how **** this was starting to become,
“Oh yeah? What look?”
Nina’s arrogance brought on a smirk,
“You liked it. He saw how much you liked it!”
This was **** – even for her otaku ass.
“The bastard had it coming, so what?”
“Simon’s older than you.”
“By a few hours, that’s irrelevant.”
“So why do you call him your little brother to demean him like a Brocon?”
Sam snapped her eyes. A cackle of disbelief. She had seen enough anime to know what Nina meant.
Brocon meant Brother Complex. The type of character like Ruby Hoshino from Oshi No Ko.
“Seriously? This is the best you’ve got against what you told me? Calling me a Brocon? Some insinuation that….”
“I don’t know what am I insin….”
The former cheerleader pinned the Latina against her locker as the sound of her hands slamming the metal lockers caused Nina to cower under her again. Both teenagers suddenly snapped their heads as they heard the sound of others entering the locker room. Sam stepped back and picked up the nearby voices as they headed to the sinks, and one caught her from behind.
The redhead turned as she heard heels clack behind her and saw her overly teal and transformed African-American friend smile with a freshly glossed set of lips,
“Sammy? Girl! What’re you doing back here?”
The former cheerleader glared back at the Latina cheerleader to keep her frozen in place and then back at her other former teammate,
“Just catching up! A lot of people seem to be going through a phase and, um, seem to be one of them, Zee.”
The black girl looked down at herself while displaying her acrylic nails, then cackled as she pinched a loud and still playing AirPod from her ear and avoided the hoop earring attached to her lobe,
“Ha! This? Yeah. I’m a real Vivica Capital-A FOX now, aren’t I? Finally letting myself out of that shell!”
“Yeah, it definitely shows you off, Zee,” Sam added while trying to keep a straight face through her confusion.
She hadn’t seen Zara look or act like this, but it felt more normal as time passed. The redhead decided to keep the interaction short,
“Was this at that party everyone was talking about on Friday?”
“Oh my god! Girl! That was the craziest cheerleader bash I’ve ever been to! We got hella smashed!”
Sam raised an eyebrow as she nodded with a smirk,
“Any truth that Kevin Scott financed that shindig?”
The redhead watched as the black cheerleader suddenly shuddered and rolled her eyes back with a sly grin as her eyes flashed open with a surprising amount of satisfaction,
“Sammy. Girlfriend. I never thought I’d live to see the day when I said that Scotty knows how to fucking throw a party, but Scotty knows how to fucking PARTAYYYY. I don’t know what he had to pay to or how guilty Jessie Myers felt about that Prick of a Cousin, but hot damn! I’m glad I went! If you want me to text him you want in next time, just let me know….”
So, the pervert was telling the truth. He was the one behind that party. Sam kept her poker face smile up, but on the inside, she stirred. Kevin knew more than he let on, but he also was sincere at the same time. He wouldn’t talk only because he didn’t want to rat her brother out about something. The former cheerleader turned back and sighed,
“Thanks for the offer, but I’ve got too much on my plate. Have practice and game this week!”
“Ah, well, have fun with that. Amber and I are going to have fun shopping! Bye, girl!”
Sam immediately dropped the poker face as she turned away and went back to Nina and ran a hand through her hair with a sigh,
“Right. Get up.”
The Latina’s anxiety was at an all-time high as she fidgeted with her fingers,
“You are so fucking lucky that I am not Jessie or Tiff, Nina. Can you imagine what the two would do with you if they found out? I won’t say anything for Chris and Tamara’s sake, but you aren’t off the hook. I don’t know what I will do yet, but you’ll know when I do. You got that?”
The crying cheerleader nodded in abject fear and humiliation. Seeing Sam interact with her former teammates was enough to put things back into perspective. Then the Volleyball Captain felt her face grow warm, her cheeks hot as she clenched down on Nina’s shoulder harshly so that they’d look at each other in the face,
“Don’t ever – EVER – imply that my brother and I would do anything sexual with each other again, Nina! I don’t care if you have a hard-on for Game of Thrones, Hentai, or whatever twisted fucking fetishes you read online! Despite what Tiffany and you think or fed Jessica, Simon’s a good person! He may be awkward or a total dork; hang out with that twisted-ass Kevin Scott, and I knock his ass around all the time, having to watch out for him, but he’s still my brother. In fact, he’s the best brother a sister could ask for! Just because we’re twins and he’s dating my best friend would mean Simon and I would do or think of something disgusting like that! You wish you could have someone as good as my brother!”
Her face remained hot as she glared at the otaku cheerleader. Nina’s eyes were wide, as if she were shocked by something and her mouth agape. The reaction only flustered and made the redhead growl further, clenching down into the bone of the Latina’s shoulder,
“What?”
“S-Sammy…I…y-you’re….”
The Volleyball captain had enough as she groaned in disgust and didn’t want to deal with the conversation going any further,
“Fucking hopeless. I should make you lick all the balls clean after practice, goddamnit….”
Sam stormed off with her things as she banged open the door with a violent kick and saw the last person she wanted to see. Kevin went pale and backed away against the wall with his arms up,
“Whoa! Whoa! Wait a….”
The redhead used all her strength to hold back as he was with Jessica Myers. She felt her neck twitch. Looking at Brad’s cousin reminded her that the bimbo shared the same name and appearance as her best friend,
“Myers!”
The blonde froze in terror as Sam pulled the girl in front of her and pointed in her face,
“The next girl to ask me if I’ll rejoin the cheerleading squad, I’ll do to you what my Mom said her grandparents witnessed the Soviets doing to people sent to the Gulag in Winter! Got it?”
Terrified, the Platinum Blonde nodded like her Golden Blonde counterpart, and Sam let go as she felt as if her face would melt.
As Sam stormed away to cool off, Myers turned back to Kevin as his jaw remained disjointed and staring,
“S-Sam’s really angry!”
Kevin shook his head as his lips curled slightly up. That wasn’t just Sam’s normal anger.
The Red Queen was aroused.
