Meet up with Chris

The softball practice was wrapping up when you and Alena approached the diamond. Chris was doing batting practice, smashing every ball that was thrown to her. She was sweating profusely, her blonde hair messy and disheveled as she swung at each pitch. Alena watched in awe, her eyes glued to Chris as you made your way toward the bleachers. "Haaaaaa~" Alena sighed, her cheeks red as she continued to watch Chris swing at balls.

"Ok, Alena, it's all on you now." You reminded Alena, causing the edgelord to panic.

"What do I say? What do I do? How should I start?!" Alena questioned, her voice filled with worry as she looked up at you.

"Tell her we both like her. I'll help you out if things start to go south, ok?" You suggested, Alena nodding her head as she psyched herself up.

"Alright... I can do this... I got this..." Alena said, her voice filled with determination. You watched from a behind a wall as Alena made her way toward Chris, who was panting heavily as she swung at another ball. You saw a nearby softball player approach Chris and hand her a sports drink, the blonde woman grabbing it as she downed the whole bottle in a few gulps. She noticed Alena approaching, raising an eyebrow. Alena did a pose.

"O' Champion of Hermes, I have come to beseech a union of our covens! A treaty forged in the blood of my enemies and a binding ritual of-" Alena proclaimed as Chris interrupted her, her head tilted cutely in confusion.

"Wait, who's Hermes?" Chris asked, her voice filled with confusion as Alena stared at her.

"Y-you... are... the champion... And a coven leader-"

"Is this some sort of roleplaying thing? I'm not really into that, sorry. I've got to finish up practice." Chris explained.

"No! It's a matter of great importance! The universe itself hangs in the balance! I require your assistance to prevent the end of all that is-" Alena pleaded with Chris, but was interrupted yet again by the star softball player.

"Look, I don't know what you're talking about, but you've been standing in the sun for too long in such a heavy coat. Let me get you some water, just don't go anywhere." Chris requested, before jogging off. Alena turned toward you, her head hung low as she walked toward you. Her exposed eye was glazed over.

"Ko ko ko ko" Alena said robotically, switching in and out of her stage voice on each spoken word. "I just remembered that I needed to go into seclusion for 100 years in order to reach the Divine God Realm. I'm going to go and drop out of school now. Please come and visit me in a decade."

You've really got to space out your girlfriend's mental traumas. She's even started switching to Wuxia. As Alena tried to walk away, you grabbed her hand. Alena looked up at you with her good eye.

"Come on, Alena. You can't give up that easily." You explained to Alena, who remained silent as she looked up at you. "We can do this."

"You do the talking! You're her friend, you can talk to her!" Alena exclaimed, causing you to raise an eyebrow. "Chris likes you better anyway! It'll be easier if you told her how you feel." Alena explained, her exposed eye swimming.
