Amber looked at Mr smith thinking of a way to tease him. "Thank you, sir. For the offer and stuff. It meant a lot." She told him.

He smiled, "It's no problem."

She leant forward and placed a hand on his knee. "Really, it means a lot. " she whispered.

His face went a little red as he watched her.

"Your daughter is lucky to have a father like you." She told him.

"T-Thank you. Amber." He stuttered.

She stood up, "I'm going to refill my drink. Do you want anything?"

"N-No thank you." He said, his eyes glancing down to her legs.

She nodded and headed inside.

Amber made her way to the kitchen and poured herself a cup. While sipping her drink she heard someone come in. Turning around she saw Mr smith standing at the doorway.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

He stared at her, "I know what you're doing. "

Amber's heart dropped, "S-sir, I'm sorry, I was just playing around. I didn't mean anything by it. I swear. "

He held up his hand, "Amber, its fine. I get it."

"Y-you do?"

He nodded, "You're bored and you're stressed. You're using this to have fun."

Amber nodded, "I didn't want to offend you."

"I'm not offended. I know you just messing around.” He grabbed a bottle of water from the vending machine and left.

Amber filled her bottle up looking around for him but he had left. Asshe walked back out onto the court Mr smith was talking to Melissa.

"Okay, see you at home." Melissa called as her dad waved and walked away.

"What did he say?" Amber asked.

"Just being dad-y." Melissa laughed, "you okay?"

"Yeah, he wasn't upset or anything." Amber replied.

Melissa sighed in relief, "no, thank god."

The girls packed up and went home.
