Business focus

First I should focus on my business, getting it up and running as soon as possible, I needed to start making money somehow, well legitimately anyways. A couple wishes for my business to do well and for me to find a perfect place for the building later and I finished my shower shortly afterwards. I came out with a towel on, grabbing clothes and just about to start getting dressed when I saw her, latched onto the ceiling. "Huh... so you got a name I can call you?"

I heard her giggle as she dropped down, landing perfectly before she sat on the bed looking at me. "Call me Cheshire, maybe you'll get to learn my real name someday~" I nodded my head at that, getting dressed in the closet before heading out to the living room. "So any idea's on just who might be after you?" She asked, taking this more seriously. "Well considering the amount of cash I've been amassing and the gold I gave you? I'd be more surprised if there wasn't at least a FEW people after me. As for who I'm not entirely sure yet." I explained, going on to mention how already there had been two attempted muggings and it was slowing my progress already.

She sighed and went back to the spare room, when she came back she was wearing a business suit and heels, showing a very distracting amount of cleavage no less. We ended up grabbing a taxi first, headed out somewhere to buy a vehicle, ended up getting a vehicle and driving to the meeting place with the realtor. From there we got hold of a property to serve as the main building for the new business, I also used the money from the wishes to get a few other properties and land purchased. Needless to say the realtor was VERY happy for the business.

That had been the plan anyways, Cheshire had stopped me though. "You should consider starting your business elsewhere, metropolis is a VERY dangerous place. Your entire company could be robbed, building destroyed and any online accounts cleaned out all in the same day, hell the same HOUR if your not careful." She explained, going further to point out the other dangers such as injury or loss of life. I thanked her for the info and started looking into other places, she was nice enough to mention a couple places that would be safer.

I ended up altering the plans for that, offered her a bonus as well. She accepted it before we went about the other things that needed to be done, we got through the day easily enough honestly, though it was fun with the thugs from yesterday showed up and tried to rob me again. Cheshire seemed to have fun as she beat them down though, when the last one tried to take me hostage he got stabbed for his trouble. We ended up grabbing food after I called the realtor back, explaining that I needed some additional property for other locations.

Cheshire's first week was spent with her teaching me a little bit of self defense stuff, she helped me get too the new city as well. In the meanwhile I'd searched up more info for the city she was taking me too and found myself feeling more and more optimistic about this city. Sure Metropolis would likely get me a significantly larger amount of funds and resources faster, but I would also risk getting mugged every day, my finances hacked away, any company secret stolen, the dangers just mounting up rapidly. So yeah, this would be a much better place I felt to start up my company, I just hoped it would be successful.

Cheshire and I had hung out a little bit, or as she eventually had me call her, Jade. Jade had explained that this new city was a lot less dangerous, she was more knowledgeable and used to this place and with our first day we spent it searching around for a realtor, buying a few new properties, getting a place to stay among other things. We sat in a hotel eating dinner, and she asked me. "So what do you think of Star City so far?" I nodded my head a moment before responding. "I like it, feels less dangerous than Metropolis that's for sure. It'll take awhile for the business to get off the ground, but I think it'll really thrive here."

I managed to explain, I tried asking if she'd be staying another week, she responded say that for the most part she would be around another week, but she would need to check with her group first. She was nice enough to explain that she'd see about spreading word in regards to my need for a bodyguard, said she couldn't promise anyone else would be silent about whatever I was doing though. I sent a couple messages out, trying to get some more work done on the building so that I could get it in working order soon enough, also ended up getting some orders sent out for supplies.

The last night Cheshire would be here and I headed to bed making a wish that I would have some sort of immunity to telepathy. What I got was a screen popping up saying Congratulations! Well, guess I should ask Jade about this before she heads off. Meeting up with her I asked if I could share something with her, something secret. She said I'd already paid for her silence so she didn't mind, but asked if I was sure I wanted to risk trusting her with info. "Well I don't see why not, besides it isn't info that can hurt you or myself. Would you believe me if I said I had a way to resist mind control?" She laughed at me at first, shaking her head before letting out a sigh.

"What so you can resist things like mind readers? Mind control isn't real, you know that right?" She said as I chuckled a moment. "Well then is there anything wrong with me sharing it with you? It'll do nothing else than increase your own ability to resist any kind of mind control, but it's up to you if you want to give it a shot." I offered to her, leaving it up to her if she wanted to try. She giggled and shook her head, letting out a sigh before allowing me to make the connection. With that the night ended and we both went to sleep.
