“I think I’d better be going.” Malene stands.

“Sit a spell. Rest yourself. Why go back out there unprepared?” There’s something commanding now in his voice, like he expects her to obey.

“No, that’s ok. I’ll be going.”

“Stay. Have a sip. Restore yourself.” He stands menacingly tall over the short elf.

“No.” Malene steps back. He mirrors her move. Not knowing what else to do, she bolts.
