New beginning...

The house was old and large. It must have been around for at least 100 years, but could have easily been around for longer than that. It was the biggest house in the area, but was also one of the most rundown. It's windows were smashed, and the paint was peeling off of it. All of the metal was rusty and all of the doors seemed to be stuck shut, impossible to open.

Despite the fact that all of the windows were smashed, no one ever tried to break into the house due to its reputation for being haunted, or at the very least, looking the part. The house really did look like the typical haunted house, and so people usually avoided it when they could. Most people did at least. Because it was avoided by most people in the nearby towns, the house attracted the types of people that were not exactly smiled upon in everyday society.

**** dealers and addicts used the lawns for deals, though they usually did not enjoy hanging around for more than they had to. It was the perfect place for expensive deals that both parties wanted to end as fast as they could. Jake Masters was one of the top dealers in town, a wealthy man who made sure to be careful in all that he did to prevent being caught by the law. He was a deeply religious man that believed he had the power of G-d on his side, watching over him and making sure that no harm would befall him as he made his deals in the land surrounding the unholy house. Because of his religiosity, he had a strict code and would not make deals that would anger the community too much. As a result, most cops left him alone most of the time.

Because of this, cops were almost always patrolling the area, making sure that everything was alright and that nothing too bad was going down. Even they found the house to be unbearably eerie, so most deals were ignored unless there was a very good reason that they should be stopped. Tonight, Officer Brenda Nelson was on patrol, looking around for possible **** busts. She was one of the only cops in the whole district that refused to let rumors of haunting bother her, though that may just have been because she was an out-of-towner who was transferred to this district only a month ago. Whenever she would insist on being on duty at the house, her partner would claim stomach illness and wait for her in the car for the night, refusing to leave until she was ready to head back to the station.

High end prostitutes also enjoyed having territory outside of the house. The citizens who wanted to have their tastes satisfied by the most beautiful women in the area knew that all they had to do was suck up their fear and explore the areas around the house. Prostitution was such a common vice in the area that the cops tended to leave them alone. Maddison Mason was the best of the best, and she was always close to the house, making people really suck in their fear to get to her. She was Jake Masters' on and off girlfriend and as a result, she would spend a lot of her less busy nights keeping him company by the front door. Even if they weren't dating, the two of them had a very close bond of friendship, which could be seen as cute if the two weren't so twisted in their own ways.

Tonight, there were more visitors close to the house than just these three individuals. Stephanie Jacobs was a college student studying Parapsychology (the scientific study of psychic phenomena). Like Officer Nelson, she was new to the area and so she did not know any of the stories surrounding this house. Stephanie made a bet with one of her classmates that she would come to the house and perform a seance to try to contact whatever spirits supposedly possessed the house. As proof that she actually went to the house, she had brought along a classmate, Simon Rogers. Simon was a quiet kid who had a huge crush on Stephanie so he came along with her to videotape everything. Currently he was holding his camera to Stephanie as she spoke.

"Alright, I made you guys this bet and I'm gonna win it. As you can see, I'm at the house" she said, motioning to the door behind her. In on corner, in the distance, Bobby and Maddison were watching the two with curiosity and amusement. It was a slow night for both of them, so they were just hanging out. On the opposite side, Officer Nelson also noticed what was happening, but did not know what to think of it. She debated approaching the kids or not.

The inside of the house was cold and empty, as well as covered in dust. It looked like no one had been inside of the house in decades, and that was accurate. Suddenly, a man appeared int he center of the main room of the house. he smiled as his eyes glowed red.

"Wake up" the man said with glowing eyes as suddenly every light in the house turned on and flickered. For the past few decades there truly was nothing to fear about the house, but that had just changed. Demons had been lying dormant inside of this house for centuries. And these were not just any demons, but incredibly powerful demons, which were more evil than anything that the world had ever seen. They now possessed the house, but soon they would want bodies of their own, and luckily for them, there were several warm bodies right outside, just waiting to come in and become their playthings. The Old Man felt the house's confusion and explained the situation.

"You've been asleep for centuries, resting up and charging your power. Now you are ready to be released into the world to do my bidding. For now, you possess and control this house, but that does not have to be for long. Do what you deem is appropriate. I will trust your judgments" said the Old Man, before blinking out from existence as fast as he had appeared, leaving the house to do as it wanted.

Stephanie spoke loudly into the camera, "Alright, you assholes. I've tried opening this door twice already and the thing won't budge. If it doesn't open after one more try, I'm leaving and you owe me the money since I even tried" she said as she placed her hand on the rusty door handle once more. Suddenly, the lights inside of the house flicker on and the door opens easily. Everyone watches in surprise, unsure what to do. This had never happened before. Stephanie gulped and motioned to Simon. It was time to go inside.
