Day of the Demons

The night was cold and dark. The wind blew in ways that made the tree's rustle. It was one of those rarely cold nights in the spring, when a person would o outside and get scared at nothing. The type of night usually seen in the beginning of a horror movie before the introduction of the character who the watcher knows will b in for a rough night.

It was a rocky street in the middle of nowhere. An abandoned road in the middle of some trees in the abandoned edge of town. It was a quite night until the car screeched to a stop.

"What the hell did you do Cody?" Eric asked his friend as the four college students got out of the car to see what the noise was. Eric was 20 years old and the head quarterback on the college's football team. He was getting ready to lead the team to states and didn't want any trouble before the big game.

"I...I think I hit someone!" Cody Taylors said, looking scared. He went around to the back of the car and looked in horror at the body he had hit. At 19 years old, Cody was a freshman in the towns community college. He had already been on probation for drunk driving the last time he went out partying. The last thing he needed was a hit and run on his record too.

"Oh my gosh...Is he dead?" Kelly asked, moving her long blonde hair from her eyes to get a better look. Kelly was the captain of the cheer leading squad and had a body to show for it with her long toned legs, slender frame and perfectly curved body. She had a body most college girls would die for and was glad to be using it to make extra money as a swim suit model for local magazines. Kelly knew way better than to be out with them, but she had always had a crush on Eric and was planning on asking him to a movie right when they were done.

"I hope not... Oh gosh this is terrible..." Lauren said. Lauren was a smart girl with long brunette hair and glasses. She had a cute face and a nice body. She should never have agreed to come with Cody, but she wanted to make sure he was okay. After all he was her twin brother, and she had always felt responsible when he got into trouble. Still, she felt that she didn't belong in this group and never should have come with them. She had studying to do, and wanted to get in another chapter of a romance novel before bed. Aside from her brother she didn't like anyone else int he group. Eric was an idiot who always used her to cheat on his exams and Kelly had always been making her life miserable with teases and mocks about being a nerd.

"Excuse me...What happened here?" A voice asked from behind, scaring the four. The voice came from an old man who was dressed in a black suit. He had chin length grey hair that appeared to give off a glow in the dark. He also had bright blue eyes and spoke in a calm, grandfatherly voice.

"I..I think this man is injured. We were just passing by and found him on the road." Kelly said quickly. She may be a dumb blonde, but she was smart enough to come up with a convincing story. "Umm.. Do you live near here? We don't have our phones with us." She said. It was true, none of the four had been smart enough to bring their cell phones on their joyride.

"Yes... I live in the big house just down the road. Please feel free to use my phone. I'll stay here and watch the body. The phone is right behind the large black door." The old man said. The four all thanked him and began walking towards his house. Neither of them put thought into why they just decided to go without first asking who the man was or how they could trust him. It was as if the man had been controlling them...

As the four moved towards the house the old man knelt by the body and placed his hand on the back. Instantly the body disappeared into thin air. The old man smiled. It was finally time to see what his newest demons were going to do with the world....everything was working perfectly.

Inside the house, the sounds of faint screams could be heard by the demons, each of them wanting freedom from their curse...As they heard the doors to the house open, they fell silent. Maybe that time would finally come...
