Taking on the Grass Gym

After waking up the next morning, not having been able to make dinner after passing out because of Honey, we were all fairly hungry.
I decide to make some Curry for me and Penny and make some Poffins for the pokemon, making a special herb on for Honey. After about an hour everything is done so we sit down to eat. After Honey eats the Poffin she starts to glow, but after a few minutes the glow stops and nothing has changed, at least from what I can see.
"I think if you get a item I might be able to evolve further mistress." Honey says. I assume that means she can now Mega Evolve if I get myself the bracelet, ill have to keep that in mind if I ever get the chance to purchase one.
"Good to know, ill keep an eye out for the item we need." I say, quickly finishing up my meal so we can do a bit more training. I want to get Luna up to a level where they can fight in this battle. I went into the area before the next city and started training Luna on some grass pokemon, using Struggle Bug, and while it took a trip or two back to the pokemon center to refill the PP I did manage to get Snom up to level 20, with every time Luna got close to feinting I swapped her out with Butterfree.
After leveling up Luna we enter the town of Artazon, Penny says she will go look for a place for us to stay so I go straight to the gym. There is a wait list for the gym challenge like last time, but it is smaller then before, so the wait time is only a hour. I take care of the trial of finding those Sunflora in less then 5 minutes since its honestly the easiest trial of them all, and then just decided to stock up on items and meet up with Penny to wait inside the gym building for the remaining time.

After a while I was called for my battle, so I made my way to the arena. To my disappointment the Gym leader had remained the same as in the game, Brassius was still a lanky man with a rather creepy appearance. He shows up at the top of the windmill like he does in the game and jumps down. He starts talking but I honestly just zone out, he was always my least favorite of the gym leaders, so I mostly just ignore what he says till I see him ready himself for battle, just giving him and nod and readying Luna for battle.
He sends out his Petill followed by Smoliv but they don't last more then a single Struggle Bug from Luna, but since I know his Sudowudo has Rock Throw and I don't want to risk Luna going down I switch them in for Butterfree, who should be able to dodge the rocks much better.
I have Butterfree focus on slowing it down with Stringshot, not wanting it to get close enough to get blindsided with a rock. Once I see it struggling thanks to all the strings binding it, I have Butterfree start throwing Gusts at is. Sadly one of the Gusts cuts a bit of the string, allowing a rock throw to hit it square in the chest, not having enough time to dodge.
With Butterfree down for the count I send in Luna, hoping the fake tree pokemon is slow enough for the small bug type to get her hit in to finish it off. Luna is still just barely to slow, but the strings cause the rock throw to be slightly off, with the stone landing a couple inches to far to the left, giving Luna just enough time to get in a Struggle Bug and finish it off.
Once the battle is over I go and pick Luna up, putting her on my shoulders as I accept the gym badge and TM from Brassius.
Once the battle is over I see Nemona standing next to Penny, having watched my battle.
"Way to go, I knew my Rival wouldn't have any trouble winning this." Nemona says, walking up to me and holding up her fist for a fist bump, which I accept.
"Rock throw was annoying, but other then that I came pretty prepared for this gym. The next gym is Electric Type though, so that is worrying me a bit, I don't have anything that can easily beat that type yet." I say with a chuckle, not wanting to catch another one use pokemon just to take on the gym, the third gym was always one of the hardest for me to beat since I don't like most ground types.
"Don't worry im sure you will figure something out. You better train up more, because once you get to that city im going to come looking for a battle, ill be waiting outside the gym so you can't sneak past me." She says, making a peace sign before running off, not letting me get a chance to decline even if I wanted to.
I walk over to Penny and give her a kiss on the cheek before we head away from the field and to where she got us a place to stay for the night.
