Vision

"Wanda?" A confused voice asked. It took less than a second for Wanda to recognize the person on the other end.

"Vis!" Wanda said jumping out of her chair. "Oh my God it's so good to hear your voice."

"Oh well thank you darling," Vision said surprised his wife had missed him so much after just one day. "I've been trying to reach you all day."

"Y-you have?" Wanda asked.

"Yes, I was starting to get worried. I called home and you weren't there. I called the neighbor, but they all said they haven't seen you since Dottie's pool party the other day. Dottie herself refused to talk to me about it for some reason so I've just been calling anyone else I could think of for information. I was trying to get in touch with Norm, but instead you answered. Where have you been?"

Wanda wasn't sure what to say. How could she explain all this to her husband. She looked down at her naked self and instantly went crimson. As if tjis whole situation hadn't been embarrassing enough the idea of Vision learning she'd been streaking through town since he left was too much to bear.

"Oh, you know," Wanda said in the most calm and friendly voice she could muster. "I was just out shopping all day looking for some...clothes."

"Ah shopping that makes sense." Vision said relieved his wife was alright. "Did you find anything any new clothes to wear."

"No," Wanda replied, her heart sinking as she spoke the words. "I couldn't find a stitch."

"Oh well that's too bad but that's fine you look great in anything, darling." Vision said brightly.

"Thanks Vis." Wanda replied thankful but also wandering if nothing was on that list.

"But Wanda why exactly are you in my office?"

"Umm I-I," Wanda said trying to think of an answer before realizing this was a golden opportunity to get some information. "I forgot my housekey then I left. I remembered you said kept a spare in your office, so I came over to pick it up."

"Oh, darling I'm sorry to hear that and I'm sorry to say I don't keep my spare in my office anymore."

"I can see that," Wanda said glancing at the empty drawers. "So where are they now? Did you give them to one of your coworkers?"

"No, no now they're at home."

Wanda's heart stopped. "Come again."

"Well, I realized if I kept my spare key at work, I could only retrieve it on workdays on I decided to instead just hide it on our property. Much more convenient don't you think dear?"

"..."

"Dear?"

"Yep," Wanda said quietly. "Very convenient."

I hid it on one of the houseplants you put up next to the front door."

"The right one?" Wanda reluctantly asked.

"Yes! How did you know."

Wanda remained quiet for a minute. That was the plant she had used to hide her naked body when she sneaks into the backyard. The literal key to her salvation the thing that could have saved her from this whole embarrassing adventure had basically been on her person at the beginning. It took everything the young woman had not to scream out in anguish right then and there.

"Just lucky I guess," Wanda finally said. She couldn't imagine how this day could get any worse.

"Oh well I'm glad I could help," Vision said happily, still completely ignorant of his wife's woes. "Anyway, as to the reason I'm calling, I wanted to let you know that the boys and I are coming home today."

"What!" Wanda shouted before remembered where she was and quieting down. "How come."

"Well, apparently someone kicked up a bunch of fire ant hills, and now the buggers have swarmed the campground. There's not a single place to pitch a tent without getting a dozen bites. Trust me, I tried, ha."

"S-s-so, you're coming home." Wanda said, her voice starting to become shaky. "Right now."

"Yes, we should be back in a few hours. The boys are excited to see you again. Do you think you'll be able to get home before then?"

"I'll certainly try," Wanda trembled covering her chest with her free hand.

"Wonderful see you soon dear," Vision said before hanging up.

"See you," Wanda said on the verge of tears.
