The First Contest Results

"What do you mean the results of the first contest?!" Laura demanded, the first to recover from the shock from the shows rules and then this on top of that. "There hasn't been any contest, we all only just arrived."

"Yes and that was the contest. I gauged your approval of each contestant during their arrival, then during and after their introduction. They don't just need to be popular with the audience, your opinion as the master of this harem is crucial and this is a good a way as any to really show them that."

"What? How?"

"Would you believe me if I said magic?" Laura was starting to really get tired of hearing that but it was hard to refute with everything she'd seen so far. "Cheer up, you can't blame yourself for the results, this is all your subconscious's fault."

"That really doesn't make me feel any better."

"Shame. Anywho on with the show!" Shar turned and pointed to a befuddled Candy "And in first place which really shouldn't be that much of a shock Candy Henderson."

"Really?!"

"Really really. So that's 7 VP for your victory but as this is the first round as I said you will still be getting a transformation but it will be a Boon."

"That's good right?"

"Yes Candy, that's good." Shar shook her head again at the ditzy blonde's incomprehension, she'd definitely have to get them all copies of the rulebook, then turned to Tracy.

"Second place? Seriously? Wow thanks sis."

"Yes indeed so that's 6 VP for you and a Boon as well."

"Cool."

"Next we have little Anna Rodriguez, you may still harbor ill will towards your ex but it would seem she still holds you in high regards."

"Wow. That's, that's actually nice to hear. So 5 VP for me and a Boon right?"

"Well I'm glad at least someone was paying attention, exactly right Ms. Rodriguez. Now fourth and the last of the Booms for this round goes to Misty Dawn."

"What? Really?" She dropped her hood for the first time showing her long inky black hair and gave Lauren a shy smile. "I thought for sure I'd be near the bottom with you disappointed in me dropping out."

"You did actually rank quite low at first, but certain revelations during your introduction revised that."

"I'm sorry I misjudged you Misty." Laura said. "I had no idea what you went through."

"And that's 4 VP for you as well. Now ironically since it was sympathy for your plight that gave rise to your score from the depths your rise also knocked the first person to show you sympathy into 5th place."

"That would be me then." Said Gabriella "At least I get 3 VP with my Punishment."

"True, and although it is a Punishment at 5th it should be a mild one that high." Shar smiled at the professor who nodded and smiled back. "And the transformations tend to be more mild earlier in the season as well."

"Now we get to our little songbird." Shar turned to Carla "You started off really strong, who really forgets their first celebrity crush after all, but then sordid reality intruded. Still it could be worse, you only dropped to 6th. 2 VP is better than nothing after all and now she has a chance to get to know the real you. While you are still the real you."

Carla was trying to ignore Shar, trying to smoke another cigarette pulled out of a battered pack with shaking fingers. She left her to it and moved on the the still squirming pinkette.

"Seventh place must seem bad but you already knew you were the black sheep of the Black family so I doubt you're surprised. Still it's better than last and with 1 VP maybe you have time to rise in your sisters estimations." Stacy continued to glare still unable to speak or move from her chair.

Shar patted her on the head before moving on to the last contestant, Susan was trying to pry off the silver bracelet with no luck.

"It won't come off, and you wouldn't want it to if it could. I'm sure you're not shocked at your placement either."

"I don't want to be eliminated." Susan said in a small quiet voice. Laura had never seen the woman so scared, she had always been more annoyed by her than hated her really and felt bad for her predicament. Shar looked back at Laura as if reading her thoughts.

"Well it is awfully early to be eliminating someone. I mean how would that look giving you the chop before you've even had a chance to see your rooms or go on a date with the master? Yes I know you're at -2 VP and that's the rules but I'll tell you what, I'll offer you a deal to take instead. Something the audience will enjoy enough the Producers won't mind. If you accept all three of your Punishment transformations, sight unseen, you won't be eliminated this challenge."

"Really? Yes, okay. That has to be better than becoming someone's property right?"

"I think you've made an excellent choice. As long as you haven't been eliminated you still have a chance to improve, maybe even win, but if I were you I would definitely be looking for ways to gain points. You are still at -2 VP but are also still in the game."

Shar turned looking out into the darkness "For the folks at home this is your first chance to rate our contestants, first impressions are very important after all. And then next we will move on to the transformations!"
