Bell vs Mai; Double Battle

(ok, so this will be a 2 v 2 simply because I've only gotten around to stating out 2 of Mai's Pokemon. But it will be a DOUBLE Battle because I want to give Mai an edge >:D Also, I haven't done a Double Battle Yet.)

To Bell's surprise Mai doesn't just send out one Pokémon, but two, a Hawlucha and an Oricorio. Mai just grins at Bell for a moment before she arrogantly asks her, "Oh, you look confused. Does the little girl not know what a double battle is?"

"I know what a Double Battle is." Bell then sends out Frank and Chester, "I'm just surprised you can count to two." (Init; Bell 1d6 v Mai 1d8; 4 v 1; Lucky Bell!) The women looks irritated by Bell's insult, which means she should be distracted. Not wasting the moment Bell quickly shouts out her commands, "Rollout and Acrobatics on the Hawlucha!" (Both Target the Hawlucha; Chester uses Rollout+2, Frank uses Acrobatics+3; Chester 4, 7; Frank 7, 4; 1/3 wounds left for the Hawlucha.)

Seeing both the attacks connect on her Hawlucha seems to set off the woman who stomps her foot in anger. "You insolent little child! FEATHER DANCE!" (Mai has the Hawlucha use Feather Dance, the Oricorio's Dancer Ability lets it copy the move: Hawlucha 2, 5; Oricorio 2, 4; Both Frank & Chester take a -1 to their next attack) "and Acrobatics!" (Oricorio uses Acrobatics on Chester so gets +3 to roll; 4, 5; Chester 3/4)

Even though the attack hit Chester, Bell isn't worried. "Keep it up! Rollout & Acrobatics!" (Chester uses Rollout+2-1+1;6, 3; Frank uses Acrobatics+1-1; 7, 3; Hawlucha faints, Oricorio 2/3) When she sees the Hawlucha faint Bell can't help but give a large grin at the other woman. "Oh, looks like it's two on one now."

"Arhg!!!!!! Acrobatics!" (Oricorio uses Acrobatics on Chester so gets +3 to roll; 10, 6; Chester at 2/4) and to Mai's credit the attack lands. But it isn't enough to knock out Chester.

At this point they both know the fight is over. "Finish it! Rollout and Acrobatics!" (Chester & Frank attack again: Chester uses Rollout +2+2-1; 7, 8; Frank uses Acrobatics +1-1; 2, 4; Orocorio Faints)

Mai recalls her Pokémon and gives Bell dismissive look as she tries to play off her loss. "You may have won this round girl, but don't think this means that you have seen the last of me. I'm not going to let you steal my dear Louis from me so easily." With a huff she tosses her hair over her shoulder and walks away.

For a few moments Bell simply stands there next to her two Pokémon as she watches the strange woman storm off. Once Mai is out of sight Bell looks down at her Pokémon, gives a shrug and comments, "Well, that was weird..."

Author's Notes: Bell gets +1 Pokémon XP for the Pokémon Battle and 2d6 [9] money for winning. Bell will spend the XP point to upgrade DeDe's Discharge from a d4 to a d6.

I'll admit, I was kind of hoping Mai might put up a better fight than that. But I guess I'll just have to upgrade her Pokémon some.
