Meanwhile, Douglas and Chelsie had moved to the West Coast. Douglas had to open a LA branch of his firm and take another bar exam, which was a hassle. Chelsie believed it would be good to have a more established adult career, and there was only one place for that.

So here they were, sharing a home in the San Fernando Valley. They weren't fucking, and Chelsie was clear that she didn't fuck white boys. But in many ways, there was certainly the persona -- Meadow Rain -- and the person -- Chelsie. And for Douglas, it was hard to figure out whether he wanted Meadow -- bawdy, always sexual, very BNWO oriented -- or Chelsie, sometimes bookish, sometimes lazy, and only mostly BNWO oriented.
