Chapter 12 by Hindy Hindy

Well I think it time to...

Intermission?

Justine stood grinning at thin air for a couple of seconds. She frowned as the signal that she expected did not come. Justine looked around slowly. That was when she realized that the production had stopped. One of the effects of that was time had ceased to function for the set. The contestants were stiff, and when she tested their mobility, she could not move them an inch. No sounds emanated from the mansion. She sighed. She signaled Justin to come over. He did without any hesitation.

"Oh, my better half, why has the production stopped?" Irritation coursed through her voice.

He cleared his throat, "One of the producers is, well, considering other options."

"And what prey tell does that mean?"

"Well, sis, they are delaying this show's production as they are considering other projects."

Justine grinded her teeth together, "What other projects? They cannot do that. We’re in the middle of a shoot. And we are booked for the duration of it. I cannot go on a different show. We already had the submission of contestants, and we are rolling. It is intolerable."

Justin coughed, “Well, you know these things have happened before.”

“Unbelievable they cannot do this. I was about to take our more elderly participants and make them more fitting for the show. That’s a rating boost. I also most got to a voting poll. Do you have any idea how good ratings those are? We’re almost out of the intros, for goodness' sake. What are we supposed to do now? Twiddle our thumbs?”

"As it happens, I got a letter from one of the other hosts."

"Oh, have they heard the mishap of our poor shoot and decided to rub it in."

"No. It is an invitation to a wedding."

Justine grinned at that, "Well, we will be going to that wedding then. Send out what you think is suitable and tell me later."

"Already done, dear sister."

Sighing, she looked around and moved off the stage. Pausing for a minute to subtly change her wardrobe to a cleaner outfit, she and Justin held hands. In a moment, they were gone.
