14. With the blanket she can hide among the tree roots

Malene finds a tree with big enough roots that she can nestle among them. She gathers some leaves and spreads them over her blanket, hoping to look like nothing more than part of the forest floor. She knows she’ll need to look for food at the end of the day, but for now she’s happy to hide herself away. She wraps her body in the clothes and feels a little safer for them.
