Eric was beginning to stress. He felt that the situation was getting out of hand. For the moment he had no proof, but Nola's words were enough to worry him. He hadn't cheated. Using loopholes in the rules wasn't cheating. It was intelligence.

As far as Kitty was concerned, someone had to go, and he preferred it wasn't him. He couldn't be blamed for that, could he?

Yet he had his doubts. It didn't often happen to him, but now he doubted. Was his approach to the game wrong? He'd won the first round and was 3rd in VP. He had no practical reason to feel that his strategy wasn't working.

He had been courteous and polite to everyone, trying not to be disliked by anyone. However, Daphne felt that he was responsible for Kitty's elimination. And he had to admit, he was about 24% to blame, but no more - it wasn't him who had eliminated her. It was the show, the audience and Leo who hadn't used his joker.

Speaking of the joker and the extra rules added by Nola, this proved easily enough that he didn't have all the information to reason. He would have preferred a chess game where all the pieces were visible and therefore all the moves were predictable. Here, there were far too many unknowns to predict anything. Nola wasn't even limited by the rules of physics.

He had to be sure that he wouldn't be eliminated at the end of the next round. He could obviously hope to win it, but clearly betting on it was just pure naiveté. No, his insurance policy had just come up. Leo's joker.

Nothing to say the 'Rich' theme was much more acceptable than the 'Submission' theme.
