Route 3 & Team Rocket

Ok, so I need some kind of obstacle, but what? I don't want to use Weevil AGAIN, not yet anyway.

Plot Hook: Objective [3] Eliminate a Threat, Adversaries [1] A powerful Organization, Rewards [6] A Unique item of power.

OK I think I can use this. I have been thinking of how I wanted to introduce Team Rocket[Team Flare is dumb] and this seems like as good of a time as any.

So lets roll up an NPC

Identity: [6H] Soldier (social)

Goal: [AS] Serve (mystical)

Features: [6] Unexpected age or origin

• [5D] New (technical)

Attitude to PCs: [2] Less than expected

Conversation: [QS] Equipment (mystical)

Soldier is simple enough, they are a Team Rocket Grunt. Goal is to Serve and they serve the goals of Team Rocket. Unexpected origin, Rocket is from Kanto not Kalos so that is the unexpected origin part. Conversation about a mystical piece of equipment, and the Rewards involve a "Unique Item of Power", AND the Rocket's Goal involves something (mystical) all leads me to the same conclusion. The item is a Mega Ring. As for Attitude, they are going to be immediately hostile. With that said.

As Bell and Louis continue walking down Route 3, she is having trouble processing her emotions.

On one hand, it was a beautiful day and she had just traveled through one of the first major hurdles on her Pokémon Journey, getting through Santalune Forest.

But on the other hand, not only did she need Louis' help to do so, she had been defeated by the bug dweeb Weevil, and she still has a massive headache due to her hangover from drinking the night before. A night that she couldn't even remember but she knew something happened. She could still smell the scent of sex coming off of her and Louis (it wasn't like there was a shower around) and there was still the uncomfortable feeling of his dried cum on her pussy lips. Oh well, there wasn't like there was anything to do about it now. Bell just needed to get to Santalune City, get a PRIVATE room at the Pokémon Center, take a shower, and sleep it off.

But knowing her luck she was going to run into some kind of trouble before she reached the city.

"AH! GET AWAY FROM ME!" and just like that, Bell found some trouble. While Bell couldn't gallop on Silver, she was able to get the pony into a decent quick trot. Which was faster then a regular walk, but not so fast that Louis couldn't keep up with some effort.

As the two of them round a corner Louis and Bell see two people in black suits harassing a middle aged man wearing a lab coat.

Well, so much for not being delayed. With a sigh Bell gets off of Silver and stomps towards the group. Perhaps she will be able to burn off some aggression. "What do you think you are doing?!"

The three people stop in comical mid-action to look at Bell and Louis, the female ruffian gives the professor one more punch before letting go of the man. She glares at Bell, an expression which is matched by her male partner. "And who the fuck are you?!"

Not being in the mood for any of this, and wanting to take out some aggression, Bell releases Frank and stares at the woman. "As far as you're concerned I'm your worst fucking nightmare! Now how about you fuck off, or don't. I could use the exercise."

The two grunts give each other a look, then they smile as their gaze moves back to Bell and Louis. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy making you scream little girl." The women then sends out a Croagunk while her male partner sends out a Scrafty.

(Battle; Bell & Louis v 2 Rockets; Init d6 for everyone; Bell 3, Louis 1, Rocket(Scrafty) 2, Rocket(rCoagunk) 7; Order Croagunk, Bell, Scrafty, Louis)

For a split second the four trainers are in a stand off, someone waiting for the silence to be broken. It is the women though who breaks the silence as she shouts out, "Use Nasty Plot!" (rCoagunk Nasty Plot; 5, 1) The Frog Pokémon obeys its trainer's command and makes a loud croaking noise.

Whatever it is trying to do, it never gets the chance. Because Bell shouts out, "Acrobatics!" (Bell(Frank) Acrobatics+1(no held item)+2(Super Effective); 10, 7; Spend Mastery for +2 Wounds on Croagunk.) and Bell watches with satisfaction as the blow lands a solid hit.

"CRUNCH!" Satisfaction which is replaced by terror as Bell watches the Scrafty leap towards Silver and land a solid bite on its neck. (Scafty Crunch on Silver +2Super Effective; 5, 11; Since this is a Special Boss Fight the Rockets have Mastery. Spend Mastery for +2 Wounds on Silver!)

To Louis' credit he keeps his cool and with a beautiful flourish of his hair, encourages Silver to, "Keep heat my friend and use Confusion on the Frog!" (Louis(Silver) uses Confusion on rCoagunk +4 double weakness; roll HEART!; 8, 26!!! Holy Shit! Ok! Give Silver a +2 Momentum roll next round. But Croagunk is down!) To her astonishment the Ponyta listens to his command and finishes off the Groagunk, making the fight 2 to 1.

Still, Bell doesn't want to get arrogant, "Frank, use Acrobatics!" (Bell(Frank) Acrobatics+1(no held item)+2(Super Effective); 5, 16; wound to Scrafty 2/3) but as Bell watches Frank's attack connect with the Scrafty she can't help but smile.

A smile which turns into a grimace as she see the Scrafty finish off Silver with another Crunch. (Scrafty Crunch on Silver +2; 12, 6; Silver is down!)

But Bell is still feeling confidant as she shouts out, "Use Acrobatics again!" (Bell(Frank) Acrobatics+1(no held item)+2(Super Effective); 6, 4; Scrafty down to 1/3) because she knows the battle's momentum is on her side.

Bell can see the look of desperation on the man's face as he shouts out "HEAD SMASH!" (Scrafty HEAD SMASH +4; 7, 12; Good thing Scrafty already used his Mastery Point! -1 toughness for Recoil). Ok, that was worrisome, but the fight was still going on.

Bell commands Frank to, "End it with Acrobatics!" (Bell(Frank) Acrobatics+1(no held item)+2(Super Effective); 6, 6; Scrafty down) and like that the fight is over.

As the two criminals call back their Pokemon they give Bell a look of furious anger, right before they turn around and run. "You haven't seen the last of Team Rocket!" (Bell gains +1 Pokémon XP for winning)

Bell, Louis, and the professor watch the Rocket Grunts run off around the corner. Towards Santalune City. Great, that means this Team Rocket is in Santalune City. Once the two thugs are out of sight the professor approaches Bell and Louis. "Thank you! Thank you!" He grabs Bell's hands, "I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't shown up!?"

"Uh, sure.... No problem..." Bell has to yank her arm out of his grip. "So, what are you doing out here by yourself?"

Louis chimes in and asks, "And without any Pokémon?"

"Oh, I have some Pokémon, I just left them at the Pokemon Center" the professor has an embarrassed look on his face but then quickly changes the subject. "But enough about that! I have something for you, as thanks for saving me!" The professor turns around and starts unlocking a metal case. "Here we go, take it."

The professor hands Bell a heavy looking bracelet. Not wanting to be rude she takes it, telling him "Thanks..." and puts it on.

"Now I know it isn't exactly pretty, but THAT is a Mega Ring! I'm sorry that I don't have a Mega Stone to give you, but I'm sure you can find one." He leans forward to whisper, "Once you know what to look for they are surprisingly easy to find."

Ok, NOW Bell is impressed! "A Mega Ring, and you are just giving it to me?"

"Oh, I have a whole box of the things." Looking at the metal case Bell can see that yes, he does have a case of the things. "I can spare one, especially since you prevented Team Rocket from stealing the whole box from me. Now with that settled, I don't suppose you could be so kind as to escort me back to Santalue City?"

Ah, so that is what this is about. He wants an escort, "I suppose we could, we are heading that way anyway." and the ring is a bribe. Still, Bell was heading that direction anyway.

The Professor claps his hands together, "Wonderful! Now, lets not waste any time! I'm sure you are both in a hurry." With that the professor starts to walk off towards Santalune City. "Oh, I am Professor Sycamore."

"I'm Bell and this is Louis." She sees that Louis is about to start listing his titles, but she elbows him in the ribs. She REALLY doesn't feel like listening to his voice right now. She will be perfectly happy to walk all the way to Santalune City in complete silence.

Author's Notes: Bell Gains a Mega Ring which grants the Trump Card Edge. Since Bell is gaining an Edge I will also give her Rival Louis an Edge as well. His Edge will be Always Prepared(+2 for 1 roll per scene). What will Trump Card[Mega Evolution] DO?; Yes I have read the official description of Trump Card and while that sounds good for a Z Move it doesn’t sound like a Mega Evolution to me. Not much of an issue until Bell has a fully evolved Pokémon & Mega Stone. But Frank does only need 1 more evolution :D
