Saki smiled but it was strained. The fact that he wanted to continue and valued their friendship was good... wasn't it? He was her first real friend after all. So why did hearing "just friends" sting just a little bit? "Right... friends! Of course! Heh!"

Dave raised an eyebrow and when he closed the gate he leaned down to look into her face concerned. "Saki... is everything alright? I am your friend. If you need anything I'm here for you. Always."

Saki shook her head smiling. She was worrying her friend and like a good friend he really did care about her. "I'm fine, David. Just distracted by something from school I overheard from my classmates."

He ushered her into the residence and she smiled. She wasn't sure when it had started but it had become their little routine. If David didn't have pressing work he'd greet her with a waiting pot of tea and snack or some other treat before she started working. Today he had tea and cookies waiting for her. The thoughtful gesture always made her happy. Infact she realized she spent a lot of time with David just like this since starting working for him. Assisting him in cooking meals "for himself" that he'd always make to much and insist she share the meal with him because "it tastes better with her company", or so he claimed. She wondered if maybe that was why she'd started filling out so much? Well she wasn't getting fat except for some very specific places so she doubted it. Still... "That's sweet as always but maybe I shouldn't..."

Dave blinked pulling out a chair for her. "You don't like them? I'm sorry. I can get you something else if you'd rather?"

Saki shook her head. "No they look and smell wonderful! It's just..." she looked down at two examples on her chest. "I've been gaining a little weight lately."

She watched his eyes drawn to her and saw him blush a little but he looked up to her eyes and smiled. "Well it's up to you, Saki but you're just growing a bit to me. I don't think it's a cause for concern myself. You were very cute before and still are your just becoming lovelier as an adult."

Saki blushed but his words made her feel good... but they also made her remember her classmates as well. *So he IS interested in such things!* she thought then shook her head. *Of course he is, Saki! That is a serious problem. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. As I said before as your employer I will absorb any and all work related expenses. When you need a new uniform we shall get you one. That's my responsibility. I'm sorry I didn't notice it earlier. I apologize. I promise I shall pay closer attention to how your uniform fits you from now on, Saki."

Dave chuckled and nodded smiling. "I think you look good, Saki. You're becoming a very lovely young lady naturally." He sighed and sipped at his tea. "I probably shouldn't say it as your friend and employer but I dread the day some one sweeps you off your feet and takes you away.
