The Governor
Moses settled into a bigger chair, behind a bigger desk in a bigger office. But some things didn't change.
"Mark, you're dismissed," he told the body man curtly. "Peckerwood, get in here!"
Douglas ambled in. "Yes Sir?" Moses turned on the white noise machine.
"What do we have on our side agenda today?"
"Umm. Whitetail would like to see you this week."
"How far along is she now?"
"Six months, Sir."
"Well, we can fit that in Thursday night. Let Abe know, so he can make his own plans."
"Of course, Sir. And we have a new deal that might fit with the previous deal. A couple that wants to go into real estate development down south of Kiawah." Douglas flinched as Moses rubbed his hands together.
"Very nice, peckerwood. And they know the side terms?"
"Yes, Sir."
